mirocu was wondering if I'd post a story about getting into the massive Mehrunes Razor dungeon, which begins in a fort called Sundercliff Watch. No story, but I do have some pictures.

First of all, it took Renee Gade III and her Party of Three a long time to conquer this set of ruins. The entire delve lasted a total of thirteen days! Rain's Hand 5 until Rain's Hand 18. Not because the enemies were overly difficult, but there are a lot of them in the various sections of the dungeon. This meant needing to restock on supplies and get gear repaired several times.

Good news was, the mod-added town of Silverfish Falls was not too far away. The place has a smith and a shop where food and other essentials can be bought. But still, there is no road from Silverfish to Sundercliff. Which meant we had to use landmarks to walk back and forth. Eventually I wound up taking notes just to get to and fro quicker.

The thing about Renee (compared to all my others) is that her strategy is to sneak up on her prey, with all her party sneaking with her. Then, she'll strike, running up to the enemies swinging her giant sword. If everything goes well, the enemies are surprised of course, and she'll manage to smash or sometimes stun. As everybody in her party attacks, they are like a pack of hyenas, working as a team. This is unlike Joan or Saga, both who tend to fight alone.

Whoa, Branwen is in Cyrodiil. Did NOT see this one coming. That is really good you got very first picture after chargen. I always save those, too. Thing is, over time our characters change. Sometimes right away (by simply putting on one of those red Mythic Dawn hoods), sometimes over time.

Will she (or is she) become a vampire? Will she use Drain magics???

Make sure you install Console Commands, if you haven't already. It's at Nexus, and that is exactly what the "mod" is called -- Console Commands. tfc2 can then be used to get awesome, super-duper screenies.

The trick for me is to just take a moment. If RG3 can sneak up on the party and attack her own enemy (and the room is packed with other enemies), she usually has free reign for a few seconds to do whatever she wants. If her followers begin attacking first, then she/I usually takes a moment to see if anybody is left to the side.

For instance, if there's a lot of melee going on, we'll look for that one archer, or that one caster who is off to the side, and deal with that enemy. But the trick usually is to just let her followers do their thing first. Don't just rush in swinging her gigantic sword. Still, yeah, sometimes she does hit one of her own followers. Only one of them (Felrika the Nord) usually takes offense to this. The others are CM Partners, which means they have a lot of tolerance for Friendly fire.

Thanks for reminding me of the mod name. Recently I've been trying to organize and backup my favorite mods and I couldn't remember this mods name and I use it all the time. How embarrassing.

I was pretty good on the dance floor at the OZ back in the early eighties. Everyone would stop to watch... and laugh.

Very good advice. I use it my self. Avoid AOE attacks and 1st person view for targeting is also part of my strategy.

Blood Raven is a *Vampire* with an asterisk. I don't like how Oblivion does vampirism. So instead of making her one the normal way, I went my own route. I made her a Breton (she is Irish/Danish, but prefers not to think about her father's Danish side of her heritage). Then I recreated the vampire powers and some other undead powers in a new mod, and added them to her. So she started with Night Eye and Detect Life, and Resist Frost and Weakness to Fire, etc...

I do have the Console Commands mod. That is how I got all those action shots of January in Morroblivion. Great Mod!

What I usually do in big melees with friends is restrict myself to using touch destruction spells. Even then however, people can jump in front of you as you are casting.

Great atmosphere. The the way the road fades into the distant fog in Argonath is intriquing. But I'm stumped. I don't recognize the location of the Kings of Gondor and Argonath.

Oh gosh, I hate when characters become pincushions like that. Sometimes you can go into their inventory and remove the arrows, which then fall harmlessly to the ground.

The area around Weatherleah is one of my favorite places to walk around.

Oh, forgot to reply before. The two kings statues are from the Unique Landscapes mod - Cloudtop Mountains. It adds a lot more stuff in the mountains north west of Chorrol.

The picture had the look of UL mod. I too use several of them, 13 in fact. Cloudtop Mountains is one of the few that I don't use though. There must have been a reason not to use it but I don't remember why.

Raven's got some wicked armor. Like something out of the original Batman.

One of my characters (a really evil witch, my first Evil character ever) lived in Weatherleah. She would steal Imperial Legion horses from guards. If the soldiers managed to follow her to Weatherleah, then they'd all be alone. Then it was Luci Pheria's time for "fun".

What did Luci do with the twin brothers though?

Oh, she never did any quests at all, except the opening tutorial stuff. She was my second quest-less character. If we go to Weatherleah before speaking to one of the Jemanes this means Weatherleah is just a creepy, abandoned cabin.

That's when I knew this game was really good btw, when I could still enjoy it even without doing any pre-written stuff at all!

That's Menien Goneld, the guy you find captured in a cage in one of the towers. I always use the console to bring him with me.

It's a nice touch placing the flower near Count Goldwine. I like that.

I thought that was Menien. Recently I've discovered a fully voiced mods not available for me at the time, that allows you to free Menien. How do you use console to do it?

I quite had a chuckle over Blood Raven (using her old-world Blood Raven voice) tweaking those guards for shooting them in the back.

It was simple. Just open the console and click on Menien so he is selected.

command. It moves him right to you, wherever you are. I do it all the time with followers like Serana, when they go wandering off.

Cool! Having made bears barely rideable, I know how much work that can be.

Yeah, it's so cool! And funny! And a lot easier than riding a horse - much smaller turning circle. (I know you can change it for a horse too, but that's unrealistic. It's a big animal!)
