You know I never gave this show a thought until I got Netflix recently. The first episode dragged off a little slow while introducing everyone but after that it is completely awesome. I've got to admit that I'm addicted to this series. The cast is excellent despite only having 3-4 familiar faces. I hate that Firefly didn't perform well enough ratings wise to get at least a second season because I'm half way through the first and only season of the show and it is kind of depressing.

I saw The Bourne Legacy a few days ago. I went into it with very low expectations. But I found I enjoyed it. I think weakest part of it was actually all the Bourne series tie-ins. I think if they had simply cut out all of that it would have been a better movie. Ultimately all it really did serve plot-wise to was to give the agency a reason to cover up the whole operation and kill all of its agents and scientists. But they could have simply created another reason/leak and made it a more integral part of the film, and had it be an entirely stand-alone story.

So now I am watching the original 3 Bourne movies. Just finished Bourne Identity. Love the Moby song at the end of all the films.

Edit: Started on the second Bourne movie. About 8:45 minutes in I recognized the voice of a tv announcer. It's the male Altmer from Skyrim!

You just found the inspiration for my Nanowrimo this year!

I've been a long time fan of Robert Ludlum (since college, in fact). Love how he developed his characters so well. So I was very skeptical of the first Bourne movie with Matt Damon. But after watching it, I have to say, Matt Damon is Jason Bourne. No one else can do it. And even though the story's been updated to fit modern geopolitical realities, it stays true to the spirit of the book. So kudos to the crew for not ruining a perfectly good book, as is so often the case with movies.

I went to a DW 50th party last night, which was fun. Unfortunately, my ex was hosting. I declined to follow up with Catching Fire, since I was probably gonna say something stupid.

Ita been recognized in the state's recently, so yeah, its gonna get popular and have this ridiculous fandom. I wouldnt be surprised to see a rehashed Americanized version in the next five years like they did with The Office and Being Human.

I forgot The IT crowd. My Roomie loves that show. I can barely watch American television, why would I start watching shows from other countries?

I have almost caught up to you on Magnum PI. I am on season five too. I just finished watching Murder 101 yesterday, where he was giving a private investigation class at the local college.

Jenny Agutter is in one of them? Cool! Did you recognize her in the Avengers? She's one of the members of that shadow council pulling the strings.

Bah, who wants to watch the Olympic ceremony anyway? I didn't even realize it was Olympic time again. I did hear that William Piper was back in that 50th Anny episode. She would certainly be nice to see again!

The Piper-ster was indeed in the 50th thingy...And very excellent she was too...The best I've ever seen her in Docky Who actually...

How they manage to get around the fact that she doesn't look 21 anymore is excellent... ...

Oh yeah!...I did drool somewhat when Lady Jenny turned up in Avengers...But then the wife nudged me...So I stopped snoring and looked at the screen... ...She's so...Ooof!! ... ...

I loved that Murder 101 episode... ...Rick and T.C. were excellent...

I have no doubt that you'll end the whole thing before we do...But I have to admit, it's becoming more of a grind than anything these days...Still, I did want to watch Magnum again, so I shouldn't complain... ...

Season 5 of Magnum is seriously going downhill quickly...Yesterday's wasn't too bad...I suppose...But neither was it great...

David Hemmings appeared in it...He was the announcer for the arena in the film Gladiator btw...Anyways, in the ep he played an old Sandhurst schoolmate of Higgins'...

I think the best thing to come out of this series is that now, when something...Unfortunate happens...Instead of my somewhat...Colourful exclaimation...I tend towards the "Oh. My. GOD!"... ...

I noticed the same thing with Magnum. The quality started going down when they started having a lot of episodes where Tom Selleck was barely in them. And my goodness, how many women did Higgin's father bang? Although I still think the worst episode by far was the pilot. That just makes me cringe.

I spent the last few days watching The Bletchley Circle. It was a really nice little 3 part mini-series/movie, about four women who worked as code breakers at Bletchley Park during WWII, who get drawn into investigating a serial killer in the 50s. It is a nice British mystery, meaning no overly dramatic martial arts fist fights, car chases, and gunbattles, and no one person is a superman doing everything all by themselves.

Are you guys re-watching Magnum or did they remake it?

Re-watching it...Not sure how many of the UK channels you get in Ireland, but it's being re-run from start to finish on ITV4...They're doing this other one called Kojak at the mo...And Cheers...

I think I saw SubRosa's doing the DVDs...I may - of course - be wrong...It has been known to happen...From time to time... ...

Finishing up Firefly. I can still enjoy this show even when miserable.

Dvds all the way. It is the only way I watch tv anymore. I wait for shows to come out on disc and either buy them or rent them from netflix.

I've watched all of the Adventure Time episodes there are! All of them!

It only makes me depressed when I watch it because of how short it is.

As it's that time of year for it...We watched Arthur Christmas last night...It was nice...Funny...Not too twee...Properly funny too...Yes, well worth the time...

And today we watched Disney's Frozen...Fair dues...Probably the best one they've done for years tbh...The songs were actually decent...The characters and location designs were amazing...Yes, properly enjoyed that one...

Oh and tonight we watched Person of Interest...That's a damn good show that it...

This afternoon I saw Jenny Agutter in Magnum.

And I just finished watching The Heist. A nice little heist movie with Pierce Brosnan and Tom Skerritt from the 80s. It is a fun game of con vs. con, where you really don't know who is tricking who, and where they are going to jump next.

We're waiting 'till Monday to do the two part Cambodia story together...Of which I know nothing, other than McWife saying "It's a two part Cambodia story"...As she does...

I am closing in on that two part Cambodia story. It is one I do not remember either. It has been ages since I watched this show. I just watched the one with the east end Cockney punk girl who is Higgins' cousin. Loved her punk outfit, even though she clinked a lot every time she moved. And of course seeing Agatha again is always nice. But as you said, the episode on the whole was pretty uninspiring.

Well, the Cambodia story was excellent!...The best episode for ages...All about "Missing the Action™" when you're older, as I'm sure has been felt by many of us older types...Or is that just me?... ...Anyways, they go back to "rescue and old army buddy"...And many things ensue...

It features yet another returning actor playing a different part, but this one seems to have had more than his fair share down the series... ...

And then there was yet another Mac episode, but this one tagged onto a "Rick" episode...*Yawns*...

As I said to McWife last night, I'm still waiting - the Cambodia one aside, which was really good - for an episode that is anywhere near as good as any in the first few series...But we persist...

It's on every day over Christmas!...Well, aside from Xmas Day and Boxing Day...Slackers!!...

The returned "Mac" is very annoying...And I'm actually getting sick of everyone calling him that...By now you'd think they'd all just call him Jim...It's just a "Coincidence" that he looks exactly like their dead friend, and Bonnick is so annoying that I'm sure calling him "Mac" is pretty much disrespecting the memory somehow...

Although, in this last episode (The Love-For-Sale Boat) they do have a lot of fun with the "airports" scenes...

I just caught up with you McB. I watched the Cambodia one Monday, and the Love-For-Sale-Boat Tuesday. I was not as overjoyed with the Cambodia story as you were. Though I still liked it. I was equally ho-hum as you with the Rick/Mac story. The only really good thing about it was the eyecandy. Those Japanese girls were easy on the eyes.

How come you Brits always call a season a series? It makes is sound like every year there is an entirely different show that just happens to have the same name as another show from the year before.

Because you lot take an entire season (or two) - what with your breaks - to get through all the episodes...We have them one after another...In a series...Like... ...
