Just 3 more weeks till the new consoles come out, I think I'm going to get a Xbox Series S and get a 1TB Memory expansion for it. I might even have to upgrade my PC monitor to a 4K one

Lol.
My ex bf's brother was an electrical engineer student when I was dating him in the early mid 2000s. Those transformers were worth bank. He'd take old monitors apart just so he could get to them to use in other stuff, like his raccoon traps.

Sounds like a crafty fellah. I just use them to play games because I loathe the pin-sharp light of a modern screen
Sakiri

They don't go big enough, resolution wise, for the game's I play. Most of them aren't designed for square screens.

Well sometimes you do need to move them and it’s a pain in the butt! Honestly, I can’t really see an upside to keeping a CRT around, but I’m sure you have your reasons.

I do. I tried a 24" widescreen many years back but it was way too bright on my eyes and no matter what I did I couldn't get it to a comfortable level. Also, Oblivion is sort of a down-to-earth kinda game and that flatscreen gave me a way too polished world, if Khajiit knows what I mean. A CRT has a softer light and doesn't give me that pin-sharp texture in the game which to me feels out of place for a game like Oblivion.
Sort of

Newer monitors go for sharpness and photorealism. Hope your monitors don't go though because they don't make them any more.
My ex husband had a 19 inch CRT on one of his computers back in the day. Bastage was HEAVY. I couldn't move it.

I wouldn't mind one that size had I the space for it. 24-inchers just aren't where the action is these days. 27 inch models look to be the sweet spot for a combo of quality, features and price. Alas, I've no room for those either.

Most people I know are using two monitors. I don't have room for two monitors. lol. My old desk did, however, so I did use them.

Indeed.
Well, good day in the wood today. Dad and I fell some trees and brought some of it home. Never went far though, rather we opted to clear it out close to the cottage. Also had to sharpen the teeth on the chainsaw. Glad I have that grinder so I don't have to do it more manually

Had someone on FB ask for people that lived in my county that wanted to talk about the election.
he's particularly interested in how it's affecting folks over there, since the news Sweden gets is fairly biased.
My plan is to keep it related to people I know, and not myself, because I don't want to give folks a reason to riot against me.
