'Fraid I can't do that. If I just reload in the event of death, then the character's no longer mortal. To me, this is the defining characteristic of an avatar, a puppet for the player to "beat" the game. Death is simply a hiccup along the way to completion.
When I'm playing a game with a fixed character, then I'll just reload. But when it's my character, they have to be more than simply a vessel for me to complete the game through.
And besides, being on console means I've got a limit for how long I can play the character anyway, courtesy of the A-bomb. If my character is going to die, I'd rather it be in-game, rather than being a victim of technical difficulties.
I, so very much, want to load Samara into The Shivering Isles.

I can, and do, ignore Rise of the Machines. According to James Cameron the story ended with Judgement Day, but Corporate Hollywood wanted to cash in some more which is why 3 was made and the story continued. Cameron didnīt want anything to do with 3 just because the story had concluded.

True, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't show consideration for others in the thread. If you're hanging out with a friend who talks endlessly about one thing, something you're not interested in, you're going to get pissed off sooner or later.
