Medal of Honor: Frontline. I had a nostalgic urge to watch Let’s Plays of this game that had been a part of my childhood and I was just struck how its OST was waaaaaaaaay beyond what most games have today.

I find musical pieces like the first one you posted having more of an emotional impact than say, modern songs like Mad World. The undulating voice of that one-woman choir... Mmmmmmmmmmm!

I really like that song. My favorite is the version from the film Donnie Darko.

That song has probably amassed more royalties for its writer than any other song in existence, it just fits everywhere as a backdrop to any scenario, (and whoever wrote Donnie Darko had an excellent plot idea; and it probably would have done much better at the box office if it hadn't come out right after 911).





I could listen to her voice for days and never tire of it. It is haunting = peaceful and beautiful.

Both of these are Awesome! Kind of futuristic sci-fi-ish theme setting - especially the Metallic Monks! That one would have sold me on the game sight unseen!

I've always like AiC; but ... shouldn't you be comparing DuVall to Staley? (rather than Cantrell?) Cantrell founded AiC; it was DuVall that replaced Staley when he died.

9 sounds more like good combat music, but I like 7 better of the two = just not for combat, lol.

Yeah, it's definitely got some fantastic atmosphere to it. I would've loved to have heard it in Fallout 3 and 4.




I meant because Cantrell is the lead now. DuVall replaced Staley, but his spot in the band is similar to what Cantrell's was when Staley was still alive since Staley was lead singer. So I make the comparison in terms of position (i.e. lead singer). I didn't know it was founded by Cantrell, though.




Personally, I think 7 fits well for final battle music (although it is just a normal battle soundtrack). Either way, yep, both are great tunes.

I've had this earworm for the past week now . . . one of my favorites.

Khajiit’s Ma is a huge Eagles fanatic so we grew up listening to a lot of Eagles stuff. Desperado is one of this one’s favorites as well. Other Eagles favorites include Hotel California, Life in the Fast Lane, Witchy Woman, and Seven Bridges Road.

That one is a lifetime favorite for me too!
