I recently did something I assumed I would never do again this lifetime (due to hearing loss), order an audio CD off Amazon. Rather a set of 3 CDs. Those being a collection of Schubert "songs" performed by the contralto Natalie Stutzmann accompanied by Inger Sodergren.
This all came about with me wanted to find a YouTube video of
ms Stutzmann singing "Der Tod und das Mädchen" (Death and the Maiden) for our October thread, at the very end of which she hits a low note to die for! While listening I noticed links to several other Stutzmann Schubert interpretations. Hearing those, I decided to investigate, which led me find the 3-CD set dirt cheap at Amazon. It arrived yesterday. I've already listened to two of the three packed discs. Great stuff! (The works on this set are normally performed my male vocalists.)
On a roll, I watched a concert performance of
Mozart's Symphony No.35 "Haffner", in which ms Stutzmann serves as conductor. A most talented and versatile lady.

A classical piece that Khajiit finds both scary and beautiful:
Totentanz by Franz LisztNo, Khajiit doesn't expect you to listen to the whole 15 minutes of it, but he thinks you should. It rocks!
I for one listened to it all. Haven't heard the piece in years, maybe decades. Liked the interpretation.
