Hmm, rather icy receptions she seems to be receiving. Never a fan of helmets for looks, but it is very nice that Persephone's allows her hair to show. Very neat to start her game just inside the Sky border north of Pale Pass.

I love Persephone’s new look. It’s down-to-Nirn but still refined. Her new hairstyle is one of my favorites. Looks great with her helm.

Ah, I know where Persephone is sitting with the skeleton. There’s some reading material nearby. I like the way you shot that through the grass, as if we’re catching them in a private moment. Skyrim paparazzi!

A Saturalia tree decoration? I love Persephone’s pose! After all this time, Skyrim can still give her something at which to marvel.

Fake soldiers! That would be an exciting early encounter. Darryl has Persephone’s back, and she has his.

Overlooking Fort Neugrad is my favorite. Her silhouette looks cool and that’s a nice view of her new sword.

Lopov: I didn't think about Peresphone being a Watcher! All those past lives, and she has only the one death...

Those "Imperials" were indeed the three bandits dressed in Imp Armor. They usually put up a good fight. It is a good thing Darryl is just a glowing fist of magicka away.


Acadian: I spent a while pondering whether I should start out Persephone in the depths of a necromancer dungeon once more, or if she should just walk into the province from outside. Since she has been in Cyrodiil lately - near Bruma in fact, I decided that walking up from Pale Pass would be a good choice.


Grits: It is good to have Persephone back in her game of origin. Persephe-black didn't work out. I don't know if it was the color scheme, or trying to do the main quest. I suspect the latter. I have never been able to keep interested in Sky's main quest. It is good to have the original greatsword-weilding, white-haired, dead girl back in Skyland again.

I was thinking the same thing about the new Persephone's grey armor against the grey gateway.

I have always loved that braided hairstyle the best of the vanilla hairs as well.

SubRosa, I already commented on those screenies in your other thread. TBH, it gets confusing for me to see the same post twice in two different threads. Sometimes I just go "huh? Did I just go back in the same thread twice?" But I understand if you want more people to see Persephone (thanks to Acadian I have a hard time spelling her name now) in those cool screenies.

I have one of my own. Technically not a screenshot, or a picture of my game, but still a picture of a character of mine. You may recognize her from the screenshots I've posted of her pursuing the Main Quest in the recent past.

Persephone's face textures are amazing in all these shots, is that the same face textures you sent me last year? Oh no, wait - those were for Fallout 3, weren't they? But then, is this the same build you shared with me on the mod thread? I'll never forget how stunned I was by the difference in how Misa looked before your advice and after, I could never thank you enough for showing me how to do that!

Truthfully, I can't pick a favorite among these because of Persephone's expressive face in all the shots - every shot is spectacular!

"Persephone by moonlight" - Skyrim was custom made for Persephone, she blends into it like she is a part of it in this shot.

I loved "G'night Sweet Prince" before even reading the caption (my email doesn't show the captions, I have to get on here before I find out what your label was, lol) - to me it looked like she was reaching for that satchel and was hesitant because it looks like the skull was about to bite any hands that reached toward it, lol. I don't have to mention the beauty of the Aurora in the background; that is a given, lol. But it creates a contrast with Persephone and the ground that is amazing. Awesome shot!

But Persephone's expressions in combat were Awesome! Those facial textures are stunningly clear and concise.

In "The Great Scourge" - This is the second time I've seen her weilding that sword with the extra long hilt on it; and been amazed how she places her hands on it; whoever made that mod has to have worked hard to have that come out so perfectly! I want to give them kudos without even downloading the mod!

mALX: Oh, you are talking about Darryl! He is not a skeleton. He is a Draugr. He and his other brother Darryl are from my Undead Summoning mod. The Darryl's have always been a regular part of Persephone's life death. They are old friends she calls on for help from time to time.

mALX: I have never figured out papyrus. All my mods are script free. Making things summonable is pretty easy. No scripts necessary.

I like how her new eyes turned out. The other ones looked a little too warm with all the gold they had. Now they are nice, icy cold silver.


Acadian: It is always good to see Old Blue Eyes again. I miss him in all the other games I have ported Persephone to.

Oh, I think you’re right about that helm. Ever so much more reminiscent of double shark fins than woodster ears. Just don’t let her *groan* ‘jump the shark’.

Lakefront – Love the rugged terrain, sweeping vistas and wide open spaces of this northern province.

Talsgar – I’m so glad he is essential. We run into him everywhere. He seems to be a pretty good spellswordbard, but we do sometimes find him repeatedly being taken down to one knee until he gets a little help.

Hanging with a pal – Hmm, I wonder if that’s her pal’s residual magicka in the gem stone on the altar. . . .

Blood moon – Another beautiful shot of our fave dead girl. Red is such a perfect accent/supporting color for her.

Graveyard – Yes, the one place Persephone feels at home. These shots always look rather poignant - I should imagine that you feel that from her right through the screen.

haute, I love the painting of Alise! That’s a great strong pose, and the detail on her armor looks amazing.


Woo, Persephone pictures! Death From Above is my very favorite. I love how the sky sets of the shapes of her sword and helm. Plus it’s great to see Persephone look like she’s having a bit of fun jumping onto that necromancer!

The sitting pose is awesome. Since Persephone doesn’t need to sleep I expect she has a lot of time to sit and think.

What a contrast with Tsalgar. I didn’t notice before, but Persephone’s helm kind of shades her eyes. It might be less unnerving for mortals, or maybe more if she flashes that cold glow at them.

The moon picture is just beautiful.

It’s neat to see Persephone looking more mage-y with her helm off and Absorb spells (I think) in her hands.

Persephone and Tsalgar have some things in common with the wandering. She looks like she’s wondering what he’s going to do with that ore.

Graveyard looks lovely and lonely. That’s a good time to bring Darryl out to play.

Persephone looks downright frightening (to me) in that first pic, holy [censored]. Something about her eyes. That weapon she's got.... looks very medieval too.

I saw the sandals in the Greek Armor mod that SubRosa had pointed out, and went to get some, but I also found this mod on the Nexus, because I used the search, rather than do it the easy way from the link.

So my latest test character for the Wagon has become a sort of Galatea, and she's wearing the statue's costume. I wasted a bit of time making it work properly with the weight slider, so now I'm getting tempted to do the whole statue transformation thing as a mod.

Tamira's statues! How funny that you found them looking for sandals! I have used those statues and love them, bringing them to life sounds Awesome!

(and Galatea is beautiful in it!)


So, will you have a quest where the Player has to find the spell to unfreeze the statue goddess and when they cast the spell the statue disappears and the goddess follower appears in its place? And then maybe they have to do some quest with/for her to free her (kill the one that placed the curse on her) so she can be free to follow you?

Acadian: I don't think I see any Happy Days in Persephone's future, so I think the sharks of the world are safe from jumping dead girls...

Persephone is the character with whom I connect with most. I can always feel her raw emotions coming out from the screen and straight into my chest, like a sword into my heart.


Grits: I love how that Death From Above pic really shows off the zweihander. The person who made that really outdid himself.

Persephone has zero hours slept. But plenty of hours waited! TBH, if the nights in Skyrim didn't look so colorless and bland, she would be out exploring 24 hours a day.

I just love the idea of flashing those undead eyes at people. For a while I have been toying with the idea that Persephone could mask her undeadness to an extent, such as her eyes. Except on those occasions when she was too occupied with other things to concentrate upon keeping up appearances, or when she deliberately wants to intimidate someone.

I guess Talsgar is going to forge himself some bling with all that ore!

Darryl might be buried in that graveyard!


Renee: Actually her zweihander is Renaissance, not Medieval. Seriously, they were a hallmark weapon of the German Landsknechts, who - along with the Swiss Confederacy's pikemen - dominated European warfare in the 1500s.

I just love the idea of Nassqua and Talsgar digging ore together. The man of few words, and the man of many. Maybe Talsgar could teach him some poetry?


mALX: I think most of those expressions are because they are from combat, and usually characters make an 'angry face'. I remember seeing it in VATS screenshots in Fallout 3 as well.

Waterfall seems like a very personal moment to Persephone; like that moment in time was one where she was remembering something from the past that she felt strongly about.


Wow, an execution order for her? What did she do that caused that? Is that something that happens when you follow the main questline? The Thalmor in this shot have some very interesting armor; but looks ike it didn't hep them much against Persephone and Darryl, lol.


I love the "Other Brother" shot, wow - a Draugr Lord! But best of all is Persephone's expression in this - and her armor! I love that armor!


These fight scenes here are the bloodiest I've ever seen! Urk!!! Holy Cow, blood flying everywhere ... glad I just ate rasberry puree,

Tai Chi and Red Dead are as good as the "Practicing" a few sets back. I love those shots, it is such a close up and Persephone's expression so intense - not to mention the glow of magic from her hands. Those three shots (these two and "Practicing" from a few sets ago) are spectacular!


Aside from the gory blood splatter, this last shot is an Awesome one! I genuinely feel sorry for whoever is on the receiving end of what she is giving them, lol.

That almost made it to be my favorite, especially with the contrast of the blood against the colorless background and Persephone's own blending in with that background; but it couldn't top the "Waterfall."

That one (Waterfall) leaves the viewer feeling something with Persephone; feeling like they have witnessede her in a moment when she thought no one could ontop of that waterfall alone almost in the sky she was so far up. Very powerful screen.

These were all great shots, loved this update!

Hey, I see footsteps in snow! I don't know from which mod is this but it's a nice touch.

The silver-eyed witch with red spells is good at anything, from executing the executioners, dissecting bandits or fighting against ghosts.

The "Something went wrong here" pic would be a good location for the Where am I? thread, I remember seeing this place before but I don't recall where exactly it is.

There is a mod called, appropriately, "Footprints." Quite a few of us here use it for that added immmm mmmmmersion.

Persephone pics! Something went wrong here is my favorite shot of this group. All the times I have come upon that scene and never noticed the skull, yet the person that once was is Persephone’s focus when she sees it. I love this picture!

Waterfall is great! Persephone looks very introspective with the scenery all around her. Is she contemplating a plunge? I thought that waterfall was unjumpable when I first looked at the picture, but Jerric points out a ledge here, and another one here, and he thinks they can make it!

The Thalmor must have a death wish to target Persephone. Like the others have said, the footprints bring that story to life.

These are all great shots, but the (second to the last one) with Jerric and Lil together is my favorite; it really looks like he is turned to her saying something! And how great it is to have them both in a screenshot; did you make one of them into an NPC follower? And how did you do it? This is awesome, I love this shot!

Also was stunned to see a screen of anyone standing next to a spriggan! Didn't even know there was a friendly one! That she travels around is really nice, I hope I run into her some time !!! (and hope I realize she is friendly before drawing down on her, lol ).

I think I spotted the archer in the same place as SubRosa but it wasn't easy.

"One of these things..." is a great shot and the same goes for its caption. The dragon could easily all those birds.

Persephone is always at home in a graveyard. That is where all of her friends are! Except of course for the people she put there...

Lopov: I laughed when Arcadia tried to trick Persephone into buying a cure disease potion for her "Ataxia". It makes me wonder how many people she tries that sales trick on. So far all of my characters!

At one point n the movie Gettysburg General Longstreet comments that "We Southerners like our men religious and a little bit mad. I suspect that's why the women fall in love with preachers." I think Erandur would fit right in in South Carolina!


Acadian: I was thinking of Meet the Fockers when I wrote that caption for the Falmer pic! I never watched the movie, but always loved the title.

The Nightcaller Temple quest is one of my favorites in Skyrim. It is not one of Persephone's though. Being near a holy person, let alone an altar of one of the Divines, is not a pleasant experience for a living dead girl like herself. My RP is that using an altar does damage to her. I would make a mod for it, but after the first time she would never try using one again, so it would just be a waste of time to go to that much trouble.

Renee, that is a troll that Jensa shot from across the river. The last pic is my Breton relic hunter Julia Lerocque, who survived her competition on the Beth forum and has insisted on continuing her adventures. Thanks, that’s my favorite ponytail.

SubRosa, you spotted Jensa! I’m so pleased with Julia’s look in that Witchplate. She wears steel plate gauntlets and boots with it and the Helm of Yngol. She had to flee Yngol’s Shade the first time through his barrow, so retuning to get that helm was a big deal for her.

mALX, I have made all of Jerric’s crew into NPC followers for each other’s games. Abiene is also a merchant and Restoration trainer. Someday I will get around to giving the rest of them training dialog, maybe. Here is a tutorial to get started: link. I use the SPF console command in their games to save their faces so I can use them when I make the NPCs. I hope that spriggan stays outside the sanctuary. I’ll have to go get her in everyone’s games now!

About Varia Velvus, you guys had me rolling! I did try to name her something that sounded like “Very Velvet” for her bard’s voice, but then it sounded like Very Vulva or Velvet Vulva, and I knew I had a winner. That’s Julia in the pic, though. Poor Varia was slain by the bandit chief of Uttering Hills Cave while attempting to retrieve an ancestral shield for fellow yarn-spinner Roggi Knot-Beard. Her pal Coda fell defending her, but I like to think that Meeko made it out alive. Varia rests in peace, but her epic ponytail lives on!

Persephone pics!! Ataxia? Arcadia is no diagnostician. I absolutely love Persephone’s expression and pose!

What a genius idea to make a home in Windward Ruins! Persephone does not mind the cold, and the sky for a ceiling must be beautiful! Just get Larry to dust the snow off every once in a while and she’s set. Larry looks awesome striding across the open-air chamber. Persephone’s smithing area looks neat with the sword in mid-repair.

SubRosa, like so many movies, I’ve never watched the Fockers – just bits and pieces of it sometimes when it comes on the TV. Aww, that is such a shame that Persephone struggles with the Divines – or perhaps they struggle with her. One would think she and Arkay would be drinking mates. I’m surprised that Mara would not comfort her. After all, there is plenty of good within Persephone that the goddess of love would embrace. And I don’t expect Persephone exactly chose her current . . . situation. Aside from the Eight +1, are things any better with the 16 + 1? I mean Buffy found that Azura was quite tolerant and accepting of Serana, who like Persephone, is a dead girl with quite a bit of good within her.

Windward Ruins is a great choice! The Darryl bros can easy take care of any skeevers. There’s plenty of ventilation and a nice cool climate. Not to mention it’s close to significant roads and even shopping at Dawnstar!

That’s quite a magic trick! Way more impressive than turning someone into a chicken.

Persephone blends so perfectly into that beautiful night shot of the shoreline.

I'm sorry it has taken so long to get here. I actually saw these the day you posted them, and had the comments to them written on Notepad; but the laptop blue-screened and I can't find them now, so they didn't get saved by the dump like the "Word" program does. Since then I have been having some RL things going on (on top of a few more blue-screens, like I needed that right now, urk).

But I hate to miss telling you how much I enjoy your screens, and commenting them has been laying in the back of my mind throughout all going on, and that is the truth.

The first screen had me laughing because that is close to exactly what she said to Maxical when she first walked in there; and it freaked me out thinking she had caught that vampire disease or something, lol. But above that is Persephone's expression; that adorable pout she has in that screen! That is my favorite of the set.

That "Sky" is a spectacular shot! How on Nirn did you ever get a shot from that distance and above? That is a stunning shot, it looks like it could be a lead in for a movie or something. Awesome!

"Meet the Falmer" is another of those great expression shots for Persephone, what a look! And that closeup of the back of the Falmer's head - you have great graphics, you can see the sweat pores...or are those hair follicles? Anyway, great shot!

The "Robe is a Chick Magnet" had me rolling, all the expressions on all the faces, and their postures - looks like the robed man is spewing some deep "shiiiiit" in there, lol. Is that the Psjjic guy from the College? Oh wait, I'll bet it is Erandur. Oops, lol.

I'm caught again by the tremendous amount of blood in your game, and the way it comes out in these screens as such a contrast to the monochrome backgrounds! How do you do that?

"Cool" looking lair - Literally! It looks downright cold! Gave me the shivers, lol. No bed/bedroll/coffin for Persephone?

"Kneel before Zod" - is that a regular werewolf? I never noticed the cloven hooves before in any vids, etc. I thought they would have padded paws like a wolf or dog, that really surprised me! I love the shot and the caption, it really does look like he is kneeling!

The "Magic Trick" and "Presto" - the captions alone had me rolling, laugh.gif

Persephone's eyes in "Shoreline" - these eyes have made a whole change in Persephone's appearance from sweet dead girl to wicked (in the good way) badass dead girl. All the expressions she makes are enhanced by those eyes, they make a statement of their own!

Do they say that in Skyrim too? At first I thought that was Adrianne, the Whiterun smithy; but the background doesn't look right for it. (Riften?), lol.


"Don't see every day" - this shot is stunning! It looks like the Magi following the star or something - spectacular shot!


On these next two shots - despite what your captions say, to me it looks like they are actually taking turns beating themselves up The first guy looks like he accidently smacked himself in the face with his own shock sword; and the next shot looks like she just whacked herself with that sword she is holding,

Like, "Oops...GAAAAAH!" "Bwaahaa! You just hit yoursel...ARGH! Ouch! ...Oops."
