I like the fact that you describe her life as being tough with plenty of setbacks up til now, and she actually looks like she's had a tough life.

And also, that treasure room is awesome. biggrin.gif Some of my characters have a treasure room (or at least an area) where they throw a bunch of gems, jewels, bars, amulets, rings, keys, and so on.

Is her armor mod-added? I'm not recognizing the cuirass she's got in the sunbeams pic.

It's Nightingale armor. I'm playing on Switch so I can't mod it - (which is actually quite liberating).
But I really like this armor and it kinda really suits her.

Yeah she looks like she had some knocks, had some history...

Sorry to go off-topic! But I totally get this. This is why I still enjoy playing on consoles sometimes, even though I've got a full-fledged gaming computer since 2014. Because you're only playing the game. Not making trip after trip outside to the CK or Nexus, modifying it. It causes more of a focus, like this is THE world in which my characters live in. Deal with it, Renee.

But yeah, that Nightingale armor really suits her. There, back on topic.

He he no that's fine - I actually got rid of my gaming PC having got the Switch Lite, I find I actually play games now rather constantly fiddling with them, it's refreshing...
</offtopic>

Yeah I just imagine it's incredibly soft and supple leather that provides decent light protection but still allows a full range of near-silent movement.
Renee
Ah, so she's joined the werewolves. Will she be using that power often?

Ha ha I use maps sometimes, but usually the idea is I LIKE getting lost. panic.gif I like being in some area and having no idea where we are...because this usually means we've discovered someplace new.

She's used it once. And that was enough - having tried she really did not like the imminent feeling of being out control, and so she's pushed it very much to the back of her mind.

We use maps all of the time!
Both of us having woeful senses of direction. Given Kaia's past occupation as a scout, the irony is not lost on her either!! laugh.gif

I would say, a good scout has a pack full of nothing but maps, a compass, and map drawing material.

Kaia is continually finding new places, but she does not visit all of them when she finds them as narratively it would make no sense, but she's aware of them and plans to visit them later.
Acadian
Kane, good to see you questing on Linnea.

Those are gorgeous scenic shots! happy.gif
SubRosa
Is there anyone who likes Nazeem?

Is the bug that you cannot pickpocket certain items from someone's inventory?

Some great scenic shots of Honningbrew and the skylines

Yeah, 0% chance to steal bug. Her pickpocket skill was pretty modest at the time, too. It should have been above 60%.
Renee
Mining is honest work. smile.gif Great sneaking shot, Kane.

Exactly. Also, my characters who joined Companions (2 or 3 of them over the years) only used The Power that one time, when it's required for the quest. Personally, I can't get over the clothes thing. We become this huge monster--wouldn't our clothes/armor burst apart and become useless like the Incredible Hulk? blink.gif whistling.gif Yea I know I take things too literal sometimes...

When Gunter transformed I actually removed all his clothes and left them were they were, and he ran around a few hours in his loincloths! panic.gif

Not I. nono.gif The only thing I like is ignoring him. One of my toons probably pwned him as well.

I remember when Buffy did the Companions questline years ago. When she got lycanthropy, she turned into a were-fox, actually dropping from about 88 pounds to about 5 pounds. She ran under a table and stayed there till it wore off. Never transformed again before getting it cured. tongue.gif
Lena Wolf
Was that a mod? rollinglaugh.gif
macole
i never played through the Companions or the dark Brotherhood for that matter. Sometimes when I read the adventures of other i wish I had. No, not really.

I will have to look differently at the little foxes and vixens running around in the forest from now on.
Acadian
I had Skyrim moderately modded but that was pure imagination. Amazing what we've been able to do with lotsa quests in numerous games.

Not on Xbox! .. whistling.gif embarrased.gif

Edit: and Acadian, that would be fun to change into a werefox instead of a gigantic werewolf.
Acadian
Now, though Buffy cured herself of Lycanthropy, she did travel with a little snow werevixen - Screenshot 1

And the little thing could get quite aggressive when threatened - Screenshot 2

Ditto - even when I played on PC and had modded LITERALLY everything, a lot of my play was essentially all filled in by my imagination, which I think I think is another reason why I am perfectly happy playing it in an unmodded way on Switch.

And yeah, the clothing thing bugs me as well and not just in a practical sense. Unlike Niamh, Kaia - whilst in NO way a prude - has no desire to run around the landscape, or indeed anywhere else, in her smalls and aside from the control issues, the complete lack of practicality involved with turning into a werewolf prevents her from trying it again.
Lena Wolf
I have recently read Treydog's Blood On the Moon here on Chorrol. There are quite a few werewolves there wink.gif and in Treydog's story they all revert to naked people when killed - and indeed their clothing flies off in shreds if they transform into their wolf form while wearing it. I think this is exactly what happens.
Renee
That's how I would do it if I played a werewolf. Clothes and armor would just fall off and would get left wherever they fell. unsure.gif I would also insist on a mod which makes my werewolf not have any control over his or her transformations, especially during full moon.

Acadian, Buffy's all bundled up for the cold! Not as stylish as she used to dress as she swapped clothes several times a day. biggrin.gif

Kane
Heh, I tried the no clothes thing when I first got a PC and started modding. There was just something weird about my guy hanging brain after a transformation. wacko.gif

Needless to say, that made me question the necessity of nudey mods.

Terry Pratchett - Angua, her post-werewolf state of undress was occasionally used as an amusing plot device.
Lopov
After almost two years it's time to get back to Skyrim.

I don't plan to post screenies very frequently because there are characters, where I take many screenies (like Blondie in New Vegas) and those where I take screenies only when inspired to - such is the case with Sybil, the young Breton assassin.

A quick lesson in history - Sybil spent her childhood, full of tears and torture in the orphanage in Riften. After becoming of age, she took revenge on Grelod, found shelter and comfort in the cold embrace of the Night Mother and her family, and eventually made her way, paved with pain and blood, to the top of the Dark Brotherhood. "At work" she'd often use her innocent and pretty looks to convince her victims that she's in need of help and protection, only to later kill them in cold blood.

Sybil is often accompanied by her trusted mare Shadowmere or by the ghost of the notorious spectral assassin, but lately she's been enjoying the company of the jester.

Not long ago Sybil received a mysterious letter from a stranger that wants to meet her in an inn north of Falkreath... (from the mod The Brotherhood of Old)
Acadian
Sybil does indeed have a very nice look to her. Well, when her face is not painted green. tongue.gif
SubRosa
Cool to see Sybil, the cold-blooded assassin once more.
Acadian
Skyrim does indeed have some nice views - particularly like the one you show of the distant mountains. And night skies can be gorgeous also. Glad you're enjoying Blackreach.

Absolutely. She actually rocks the Dark Brotherhood armor quite well, too.

That after-DB mod sounds interesting. I'll read about it. Maybe that'll give me a reason to get with Mycharonna again, although maybe not. Hard to tell with her.

Phon: There's always books in most of my character homes/lairs too. laugh.gif Even in the Skyrim homes which allow us to automatically place books into shelves after we activate the shelves. Those bookshelves can only hold so many books! After awhile, some of them wind up on the floor.

Really like Out On The Ice. So.. chilly....

The short segment with bowshots at the end is great! Feel free to add more in the Skyrim Videos thread. And if not, I'll be adding some more later this autumn as well.

Thanks! I've always liked the robes, too, but I almost never play mages. One of my mods lets you purchase all the different variety of robes and then some, without all the enchantments.
SubRosa
I love Linnea's town clothes. I never thought of using college robes for that.

Really love this one.

I did not game for over a week, folks (how could this be?) and was really craving some Skyrim yesterday. viking.gif Lord Haaf-Mersey's game is really easy to get into since he's on Xbox, and these days does a lot of simple Fetch or Kill quests. I usually return to him before moving on to Claire, or one of my PC characters.

The cool thing about Dawnguard is it's a hall full of potential followers. Since LHM prefers melee, usually he'll pick an archer anytime he returns to the fort, and then desires some company on the way to his next location. Usually he'll pick one of the humans or elves. He never picks Serana, because, well, he's more of a Lawful Goody who ditched the vampire long ago once the actual main DG questline was done.

But yesterday he surprised me. His next quest involves trying to get rid of a vampire who is living amongst the court of Dawnstar. This is not such an easy quest. Can't just go in there and pwn the vamp, since he's already become part of Dawnstar's society. So Haaf-Mersey decided to bring Serana along, because maybe she can provide some insight.

Dawnguard Dinner

"Serana, I desire your insights and latitude.. (yar, yar, yar)"

"I care not for your habits... (yar, yar, yar)"

"I can't stand the sunlight..." -- (She puts that mask on to keep her face from burning up, for Haaf-Mersey insists they travel by day).

Glorious Rift Sunshine

Some Necrofighting

Creeeepy Crawwwly

Twilight befalls -- (Serana goes off usually at night to do .. whatever she does at night)

evillol.gif
SubRosa
Am I the only one who thinks that table is too big for them?

That mask makes it look like Serana is sad. Sadrana. sad.gif

Ewww creepy crawlies!
Renee
That is true--in fact the entire place is just really Too BIG, right?

Sadrana ... laugh.gif
macole
Like that place was built for giants. Wouldn't doubt that they had to saw the legs off the table and chairs so that they could sit down to eat. Hate dangling feet, you know.
Acadian
Great screenshots! I fondly remember the Dawnguard expansion. It was great to have a 'guild' that you did not become the boss of and had neverending repeatable quests. And Bethesda made huge strides with companions with Serana.
Lena Wolf
Interesting how perceptions vary... I tried Dawnguard but couldn't get passed the "fetch me yet another Dwemer gear or sod off" quests, so I did sod off. ohmy.gif And Serana - I thought she was the most annoying woman ever, even may be worse than Lydia. Nah, no one can top Lydia! But Serana came close. Always speaking out of turn and disappearing when you need her... Oops - did I say too much? laugh.gif Couldn't stand Cicero either, for the same reason - ego too big. Don't ask whose. rollinglaugh.gif
