mALX, you know me lol. No need to apologize. I wasn't being mad or anything about that. I was just saying it was like:

"Psst, DE is gone, lets go make some jokes." tongue.gif

I thought it was hilarious. I read some of it on my cell but I couldn't reply.

WHEW! That's what it was, knowing you were leaving and were seeing that before you left (you'd have to think of us and hurry back, lol). I wouldn't make you mad for anything, just teasing in fun, lol.

Okay. I'm still lost with her being in two places at once, ROFL !!! (quickly eats sea kelp for brain power)

Sometimes you just have to kick-start me to get me thinking, then other times you just have to kick me and tell me what the hell is up, ROFL !!!

Okay, I see now. (Really!) - (Just wasn't getting it till you explained it like that).

Thank you <3

Just out of curiousity, what was Eyja's sign? Or is Honditar going to reveal that later?

Grits
I have no idea. Something she would know he'd look for. Bent and crossed branches maybe, some signal he might use outside his cabin to invite Eyja in. (The opposite of underwear on the doorknob! tongue.gif )I figured he would be tense over the delay and not inclined to explain himself to Abiene, lol.

Oh, ROFL !!! I was wracking my brain, which is pea sized lately anyway, ROFL !!! Good one, I'll have her bend a twig or something later, lol. Thank you for the idea - and I loved the bandit thing and Honditar peeing!

No, still not. Stefan would enjoy the women seeing him run too much, no humiliation in that like Kayla feels over the doorknob panties.

No, until there is another fall from grace, Kayla's panties are it. Neither Eyja or Stefan get embarrassed no matter what they do, so probably can't come from them.

And Daisy and Petunia are off-limits to Stefan, no Gaston Surilie stuff with those precious sheep, lol.

Black Hand
Sorry. Nothing appealing about dudes and their bodies.

In the Novel "Memnoch the Devil" by Anne Rice, she describes that Angels watched the unfolding of Creation and Evolution over billions of years. They saw the unicellular life become multicellular, the dinosaurs, the Mammals, the Primates, et cetera.

When they first beheld a Woman however, was when they ran in panic to God crying: "The Humans have become as we Angels!"

Man-streak=No...

Woman's mystery, intrigue, et cetera...yes.

Even completely straight women can look at another woman and say: "She's beautiful" genuinely. Usually followed with: "I hate her!"

But you get the idea.

Agreed, overall - but more even than that =

Those panties on the doorknob were a stroke of genius on Liz's part. They will go down in the annuls of RP history -

That was way too unique and unusual an idea to be surplanted by a mere streaking (male or female/with or without details; and Vera is already streaking as we speak anyway).

You have shown us brilliance, can't fall back on commonplace to erase it from our minds now.

Grits
Agreed. Many of us have experienced communal living arrangements at one time or another, and the panties on the doorknob situation has a certain emotional resonance.

GAAAAAH! I don't know what Abiene is doing anymore! Is she going to pierce Aravi's ear or is she with the group rescuing Maxical? Urgh...must find sea kelp...

I don't understand this division of Abiene, it is throwing me off something awful embarrased.gif

Yikes! Apply caffeinated seaweed!! tongue.gif

Don’t worry about what Abiene is doing in the inn, that’s already in the past in the mystery thread. She’s still riding up the hill with Honditar. I just ran out of time to post this morning. (I’m home for a few minutes between appointments, back later this afternoon.)

Since different adventures take varying amounts of real time to complete, I think it’s a good idea to let the threads that spilt off move in their own story time. That way the whole inn doesn’t shut down every time someone wants to go dungeon diving. So for example if Jerric is off killing creatures in a side adventure “WG: Mission to Mars” that takes six months to post, he could still show up at the WG main thread for a party on Saturalia. We would just assume he survived and got back in time even if it took another month (real time) to finish the Mars thread.

Hopefully I haven’t just confused the issue, lol.

Well, I'm confused. Honditar was supposed to be waiting outside the inn while Abiene did all this she is doing inside the inn; but surely Abiene wouldn't hold up the rescue team to wait through Aravi's breakfast and pierce her ears before meeting Honditar outside?

I thought I understood it yesterday, but...I'm not understanding how this timing is working at all; I'm lost.

What I'm getting from what you are saying is that Abiene is going to be staying at the inn doing all this the whole time she is also doing the rescue on the other thread?

I don't see how the inn would shut down if Abiene went away for a few days, there are other people there and the staff - gaaaah, I'm confused.

Just tell me what you want me to do and I'll do it, I don't think I'm going to understand what you are doing here, it is brain-numbing me, lol.

Exactly this.

You can ignore what Abiene is doing in Chapter 1. She's right there with Eyja, Seth, and Honditar in Chapter 2.

What I mean with the inn shutting down is I don’t want people in the Playground thread to have to wait for the adventure threads before they can post, that’s all. In other words we shouldn’t feel like we have to hurry up with the mystery and kidnapping because someone else wants it to be night again in the Playground thread. They can just go ahead.

I'm just going to do it however you want to whether I understand it or not, lol. Do I agree with it? No, but I'll do it your way anyway (because we are all here just to have fun, and this is how you want to play it).

The reasons I don't agree:

Just using that vampire thread as an example:

* They all left the inn, and all those left at the inn that didn't go with them continued to post as normal, there were no delays other than people who were away for periods of time (you and DE)

* No one at the inn took into account the timing of the Vampire quest or anything that was going on at the vampire cave thread because they technically couldn't know what was going on over there, we just continued on with the inn's timing.

* None of those three characters hung out at the inn while the vampire thread was going on, if they wanted to post at the inn they sent in another character (Stefan, for example, or you could send in Jerric/Darnand).

* When those three came back, they all came back in like they had been somewhere and with stories and injuries from their trip.

(EXAMPLE NOTE: If Abiene is at the inn the whole time, how can she return to it and say "I've been rescuing Maxical," how can she explain any injuries she gets?)

Everything on that vampire thread would have moved along smoothly if not for DE's being gone for an extended week or so; everything worked timing-wise; we all knew where they were and didn't worry that they weren't at the inn.

Logically speaking, I can't make sense of it:

EXAMPLE:

Abiene walked into the Inn leaving Honditar waiting outside, treated Lleris, talked about the poisoning and disease, thought about and even told Aravi about Maxical being missing and that she was helping look for her (all those stories are from the Poison thread).

Then suddenly all those stories were dropped and Abiene is hanging out as if nothing happened and she has no where to be - but is somehow also in on the rescue.

Timing wise:

There are three of us on the adventure thread just like there was three on the Vampire thread. With only three people posting on that Vampire thread, one person's delay posting bogged that thread down.

(Whereas at the Playground thread there is an innfull of Players and staff for conversations and plenty going on to keep the pages filled for the few days Abiene would be gone on the adventure thread).

Summary:

All that is just my opinion and POV, I'm not arguing or trying to change your mind about how you want to play it - like I said, I'm more than willing to do it however you want to, we are all just here for fun so it doesn't matter how you want to do it if you are having said fun.

Just don't try to explain the timing thing you are doing to me again, trying to figure it out will give me a headache, lol.

King Coin
Here’s some of what I decided when I made the vampire thread:
1. Keep the main thread clean of our posts. I thought it would be more confusing to have a whole bunch of posts in the Wobbly Goblet thread that were not actually at the Wobbly Goblet. I also didn't want people trying to jump into our fight out of nowhere.
2. I personally did not want to be in two threads at once. I don’t think I could keep track of both and post consistently. Other people are better at this than I am.
3. I didn’t think it would take us so damn long to get through. laugh.gif

I think what Grits is saying is that even though she’s posting Abiene in two places, the events in the Rescue thread are occurring after the ones in the playground thread now. Abiene isn’t going to be able to talk about the events in the Rescue thread at the Inn yet because they have not happened yet.

At some point in the Playground thread she will have to leave for the Rescue, and after that, then she can talk about what happened.

It doesn’t all have to make sense either. How can Aravi be in Skyrim when the events of that game happen 200 years in the future from the events in Oblivion? They can’t really, so I ignore that little detail.
Grits
Yes to above. As far as Abiene knows, Eyja, Honditar, and Seth are still out there planning while she catches up with Aravi (and does the other illness/poison stuff). She won’t know that Seth has gone with Eyja and Honditar waited until after she leaves the inn.
Elisabeth Hollow
KC's got a point, we're ignoring the little minor details like timing lol

The way I understood it. the WG thread was in real time. It took us a month and a half to get through one tiny mission because of our busy schedules, but when our characters got back, only one day had gone by.
Grits
Yes, it’s supposed to be in real time, and you gave a great example of everyone just being flexible about it. There are going to be times that we want to put on a specific event (Saturalia, birthday parties), but otherwise I think it’s working to just not keep track of the date. This is my first shot at RP not to mention planning anything, so it's quite a learning experience! smile.gif

Also where is the Vera/Stefan/Lycus streak-off?! Don’t be shy! (Or explicit. Lol.)
