I'm still waiting on the right opportunity to introduce my new character, too.
I'm sure you'll find one soon. Hey, we could maybe introduce them together; new character buddies!

Also, I might as well post up the profile now in any case. Realise that there's nothing stopping me doing that. Stupid, coffee-deprived tired brain...
And yep, some of you might know her from my old Madgod story. And no, she's not the cannibal.
Name: Salyan Irrenius
Race: Imperial
Gender: Female (M-to-F Transwoman)
Age: 21
Sign: The Lady
Home country: Born and spent part of her time in Skingrad, but spent a good part of her life in Mania on the Shivering Isles, calling its capital of Bliss her home
Faction and rank: Student at the College of Audiomancy in Bliss, but no strong ties to it
Faction Description: An organisation teaching Audiomantic magic to those with talent and interest
Skills and talents: Salyan is a bard, a skilled singer, storyteller and musician. She specialises in playing a lyre, but is reasonably competent with most other stringed instruments as well. A veritable polyglot, she is fluent in Imperial, Dunmeris and Nordic, as well as being moderately competent in Yokudan and Aldmeris.
Her other specialisation is Audomancy, a type of magic that uses sound and music as a medium to cast spells (more details below).
Physical appearance: Salyan is largely unremarkable when it comes to her appearance; she has a slightly tomboyish face, framed by shoulder-length blonde hair, is of medium height, medium build and aside from being a bit broader across the shoulders than most women of her size, generally looks pretty normal.
Usually, she favours clothes that are good for travelling in, usually linen of a decent standard that’s still reasonably cheap, and when on the road has a cloak to shield against the weather. She is rarely seen without her lyre (her most precious possession), either to hand or carrying it in its protective case.
Eyes: Blue
Weapons of preference: Has a sturdy steel dagger she uses for self-defence. While technically not a weapon, she can also use her lyre to focus her spells.
Magical abilities: Salyan specialises in Audiomancy, a system of magic that uses ensorcelled sound to cast spells. Casting in this manner is more difficult than traditional spellcasting and makes spells harder to learn, but a spell cast audiomantically is far more powerful than one cast normally. Audiomancy can be used for any school of magic, but Salyan specialises in illusion spells, specifically:
[list]Panic: Striking a harsh note of terror and discord, those targeted by this spell become terrified and disoriented, unless they are of a particularly brave nature.
Frenzy: Sound of rage and hate send those hit by this spell into a berserk fury, causing them to turn on friend as well as foe.
Calm: Soothing notes sooth aggression and pacify would-be attackers into a gentle stupor.
Silence: Playing a note of un-noise, those hit by this spell find their abilities to call upon magical power completely gone unless they are a mage of particular power and even then, their spellcasting is greatly limited.
Spectral Image: Illusory images are conjured up along with the sound, aiding performances with accompanying pictures and also serving as useful decoys and dummies.
Song of Courage: Stirring notes and an inspirational melody, combined with arcane energy, boost the confidence, strength and endurance of allies, greatly aiding them in a fight.
Thunder’s Tongue:: The only Destruction spell Salyan knows, this deep, booming tone sends a shockwave forth, knocking over anything hit and sending them tumbling away.
Mental profile/personality: Salyan is outgoing and constantly cheerful, always keen to make friends with whoever she meets. She is compassionate towards anyone she feels needs help, and abhors violence, using it only as a last resort; if she must fight, she prefers to confuse and disrupt foes and make her escape. She is, however, nervous about revealing she is transgendered to most people and she generally will only inform those she deeply trusts about the information, fearing reprisal, retribution and rejection from others if she does make it known.
Biography/Life History: Raised in an orphanage in Skingrad, Salyan acted and identified as a girl from a young age, something that earned the ire of others for reasons that, at the time, she did not understand. She dressed up in girl’s clothes whenever she could, often in secret, and was regularly bullied by the other children, while the priests of Stendarr who ran the orphanage often tried to beat the ‘unnatural’ tendencies out of her; as a result, she has a deep-seated hatred of those who serve and worship Stendarr, believing them all to be innately bad people.
Finally, it got too much and she ran away, sleeping rough. She found an old lyre in an alleyway and taught herself how to play it, making some money by busking. She’s still unsure about exactly how she ended up in the Shivering Isles, going to sleep in an alleyway in Skingrad and waking up in a back alley in Mania, but she found the Isles much more welcoming and tolerant; a boy who dressed and acted like a girl was hardly abhorrent in the realm of the Madgod. After some time there, adopting the name of Salyan, she contacted the famed (or infamous) visceramancer Relmyna Venerim, a mage who specialised in reshaping flesh, and with her help transitioned to being anatomically female.
She has spent most of her time in Mania studying music and refining her audiomantic skills, but following the opening of the gate between the Isles and Nirn, she has decided to return, to explore Mundus and to take a pilgrimage to the shrines dedicated to Sheogorath that are scattered across the world.
Miscellaneous: Her character was inspired by Darren Korb and Ashley Barrett’s song Build that Wall, which is her unofficial theme tune.
