At least in the main Wobbly Goblet playground thread, I don't think there will be any more mention of this mind reader other than the fact that something happened.

The main thread is supposed to be a sort of a safe zone where there won't be any danger to anyone's character.

Yes. Abiene had her conversation with Vera to finish up the telepath business in the main thread. It's my understanding that going forward all of the telepath stuff will occur in a new thread.

Yes that is my opinion too....So Serene will just be a nice mage, emotional and able to "see" how people feel....nothing else

Now in the evil thread....who knows?

minque, I believe we're talking about the telepath that Mustard is creating for the "evil" plot. If you want Serene to read minds, you just have to clear it with the other player first. Same as anything else that your character does to another character. Like if a vampire feeds on someone, pockets get picked, secrets are revealed through some manner, minds are read, starting a fight, all of these things are agreed to here.

added for clarity: of course you guys make the rules in the side threads. Mwa ha ha, etc.

Added: Also it occurs to me that when we start the Lost Knife trip we might just call it whatever without the WG preface since it’s completely separate from the main thread? That way people who come by will have a better chance of figuring out what the hell is going on here and possibly might be tempted to join. Though I guess then we’d need our own discussion thread.

Despite several gentle hints and pleas from the gracious hosts of this thread, some posters seem to lack the discipline to remain on topic. This forum allows much freedom due to its intimate size; however, with that freedom comes the responsibility of self-discipline. We have a thread for chatterspam, and this is not it. The first post of this thread clearly spells out its rules, and the first rule listed includes the words 'no spamming'.

Allowing yourself to be drawn off topic when you post makes important information in the relevant posts much easier to overlook and contributes to the confusion and misunderstandings that have happened in this RP more than once. An RP discussion thread with off topic posts also serves to confuse, intimidate and deter prospective new folks that might be interested in joining the WG fun. With so many players and so much going on, there is simply not room here to indulge in off topic spam that hijacks the purpose of this thread.

I’ve applied a rather heavy spamhammer and deleted over sixty off topic posts from the last couple days. It is oft said that this forum monitors and polices itself, requiring little moderation. I expect the posters here to demonstrate the truth therein.

The caves that I chose are fairly large, we could have the group split into two smaller groups. They would have to meet up at the end because of something I have planned.

minque, Lost Knife is the trip to Skyrim that Aravi has hired Vera for.


Darnand will have his hands full trying to hit things with Soul Trap while not getting killed. He can do more, but he won't if there are other people engaged at melee range. His destruction spells tend to blow everything up.

Quick question, do we plan to spend any time on the journey either before or after, like a mountain camp night or Skyrim tavern stop?

Encel Firefist the Mage and Jekan Marianus the Thief were two strangers who shared a room at the Winking Skeever one cold night in Morning Star. Encel was a noble Daggerfallian Breton who worked as Urag gro-Shub's apprentice at the College of Winterhold, while Jekan was an adopted Argonian who was a dungeon delver for hire. After a few hours and several rounds of drinks, they struck up a business together: Jekan would bring back any old books and interesting objects he found on his travels, and Encel would use his political influence, small that is was, to get around any regulations and taxes that applied to the objects, selling them for maximum profit. The two are currently on their way to Cyrodiil with Sonita.

Note: These guys are NPCs, so do with them what you shall.

I like the idea of some quality time with buddies.

The festival is over, but it's still the same night. Marcus can be drinking inside if anyone wants to play with him. I had Abiene off on her own for a while, so that's when she took care of business. Darnand has been hauling around her stuff, poor guy. He dropped everything in her room when they were in there with Irvana.

She'll eventually figure out that Eyja and Maxical have left and send the portrait to them care of Hannibal. I'll do that in a post where she's by herself again. I'd like to post the screenshot then, if that's OK with you.

Didn't have screenshot to work with Salyan, so upon discussion with Colonel Mustard, I've used a painting by Gustave Moreau entitled: "Thracian Girl carrying head of Orpheus upon a Lyre."

The image may be a little offputting too some, but it's not exceptionally gorey and CM and I seem to agree it's fitting both of her image and Apropos to The Shivering Isles overall "feel".
