So Jerric says "We're hot," huh? Just how did he say it? "We're
hot!" or "We're
hhhawt!"
As always love Ulfe in these shots.
And Lil looks all business in that shot. Oi!
Haa-Rei and Ciri are so cool in the new outfits. I especially like Ciri in the black and silver.
Julian did some more adventuring in Rivenspire. She met her
(sort of) namesake and found him, well, lacking. In more ways than one. She also found another NPC who nailed her (and Mazul's)
preferred tactics when dealing with bosses. And she spoke with a Khajiit who said the
darnedest thing. If wishes were fishes, indeed! I really love how this game uses lore-friendly idioms - "in for a bean, in for a beanstalk" is another one that struck me as funny and apt at the same time. And if you noticed the different coloring of Julian's armor in the Julian/Julien pic, you are right. She became rather fond of the green, but we used it on the cloth. She is staying with the Hunding Gold on the leather and metal - it just looks so awesome.
And Mazul has caught her breath after that big, knock-down drag out fight with the Omen of Fear. It kept nailing her every time. We figured out soon enough that getting too close to it meant certain death. Or it would, if this game was DiD. I think both of us lost count of how many times we died trying to kill it. Finally we figured out how to use the QuickSlot and used several of the Crown potions that we got as part of the Starter Kit (or some such from the Crown Store), and Mazul kept spamming the Omen with the staff. When it calls up the Spirits of Paranoia, the fight gets a lot tougher. But we finally figured out how to use the environment and the staircase that leads off the side of the Main Hall. It has a bend halfway up and a landing where it turns 180 degrees. The two Spirits couldn't follow the Omen up the stairs, and the bend slowed the beast down to the point where Mazul was able to get critical hits. We kept backing up and spamming the sucker, and were almost at the end when the thing finally died.
Talk about an adrenaline rush! Mazul finished the quest, went back out, and promptly sat down in the afternoon sunlight
to catch her breath. After considering a career change, she decided to head back to Daggerfall.
After
stripping her gear, she stopped for a moment in the rain to consider what to do with it. As she pondered, the sun came out and
warmed her skin. Then she checked her mail, and lo and behold, a friend had sent her gifts! Just the
sort of gifts to
warm the cockles of an Orsimer battlegirl's heart! She took a moment to visit the dye station and
use her favorite colors. On the way out of Daggerfall, she stopped to listen to the
local town crier. And I thought I saw
a smile on this girl's lips.
