These pictures are great! Is that the Tormented Spire where you go inside the active volcano to defeat Sadal? I loved that quest. Jerric was pretty torn up after Indoril died and just wanted to get out of there. It reminded him too much of the Deadlands. I loved how it looked with all of the ruins in there and wanted to stay and explore! He won, of course.

What a cool looking forge. That gives me incentive to continue the Fighters Guild quests! I haven’t seen that before. Misa looks great in her armor!

Thank you for sharing these, they are awesome!

Yes, it is! For me that whole "Brothers of Strife" questline was one of the most amazing/interesting/fun/etc; I loved every bit of it!

I explored before the battle; hopped across all those islands and checked out the whole shoreline around there - there was nothing to find, but I did consider jumping at the place where the lava makes a waterfall out of there and down Ash Mountain (just to see what would happen) - didn't do it, though; lol.

I died a few times in that battle, but was able to resurrect at the entrance and run back into the battle. I felt awful losing Indoril, and tried redoing the whole battle; but found out Indoril dies regardless how it is played. That was sad, Hogunn was crying!

That armor is not the one from the earth forge, I'll have to get a screenshot of Misa's earth forge armor once I get it dyed the way I want it. The Fighters Guild rewards are Awesome if you finish the questline! I think the most powerful weapons and armor in the game come through them!

For the sake of seeing Sadal; this is not my screenshot, I got it off the internet. Sadal is the huge flame-y beast; the man in the green kilt is Indoril before he dies; the Argonian in this screen is the Player. This was one huge battle, it took me over 3-5 minutes to beat him:

Adventures in Auridon continue. Been hanging around Firsthold. The surrounding area is lovely, but the city itself could use some work, and Haa Rei isn't too sure about the decor inside the palace either...

I loved that questline! (died quite a few times trying to close those portals, lol). Great shots!! What level are you now? Are you doing this quest as a veteran? (and if so, Holy Cow!).

Auridon is gorgeous, isn't it?

hazmick
Veteran level 5 now, whilst the area is Vet level 6. Levelling up takes far too long these days so it won't be long before Haa Rei hits a wall and I get bored. It'll be impossible to just grind all the way up to the level cap, and I don't think there's enough story content left to provide that much xp tongue.gif

We love Auridon! It's so colourful and fresh. After we head back to Khenarthi's Roost for a little while, we'll go to Valenwood to see what that's like.

Lavender, foxglove, and daisy puff balls. What is not to like?

Ahh, that second pic is the not to like part! There goes the neighborhood.

The palace has a mini-Clannfear. Is that a Clannangst? wink.gif

Have you done Cadwell's silver and gold questlines? I went to Cyrodiil and went from (non-veteran) level 38 to 41 in only a few dungeon crawls and all the quests for Bruma, lol.

It is the most exciting thing in the world to be able to see Bruma; Cheydinhal; Fort Farragut; etc - or clear Cracked Wood Cave; Capstone Cave; and Vahtacen; etc. in this game - all the familiar places from Oblivion! I can't get enough of it, I want to see every city, every dungeon, lol.

Doing Cadwell's gold at the moment. Oh! I totally forgot about quests in Cyrodiil! I'll head there after I'm done with the dominion. Enjoying this alliance's questline so far though.

The quests in Cyrodiil are a blast! I have to hide when I see any AD or DC; kind of adds more excitement to doing the quest, lol. I sneaked into the middle of DC territory and got 3 skyshards, lol.

Well we've finally made it to Valenwood, and Haa Rei is feeling right at home in the swampy forests of Grahtwood.

When people say that Bosmer like trees, it doesn't quite prepare you for it. From their homes, to their spiritual guides, all the way up to their cities.

Initially I was a bit concerned that the grand Aldmeri Dominion made the tree city of Elden Root their capital. Then I actually saw the city plaza. Haa Rei had to take a few moments to catch his breath when he saw it.

Finally, after many long months of adventuring, Haa Rei has also found someone he really feels a connection with. If only everyone in the Thalmor thought like that, the world would be a better place.

Oh no, not another swampy area! I hate the swampy areas!

Holy Cow, that tree was HUGE!!!! But that Plaza was gorgeous! I have two characters in the Aldmeri Dominion, and neither have made it to Elden Root - or even to Grahtwood, for that matter! laugh.gif

Great shots, Hazmick!

SubRosa
Very neat shots. I like swamps! laugh.gif And I love trees. It is good to see Valenwood done with such arboreal grandness.
hazmick
Glad you all like the shots! Mixed opinions on the swamp, it seems. biggrin.gif

We're saying goodbye to Grahtwood today though, and leaving Elden Root behind. We've made new friends, caught up with old ones, found an authentic Bosmer Temple of the Eight Divines, repaired an ancient Ayleid Orrery, and even found an Orc stronghold inhabited by Wood Orcs.

The journey continues in Greenshade, the heartland of the Bosmer.

Every time I see something new and Bosmer-ish, a certain bowgirl does spring to mind tongue.gif

Had a busy day in Greenshade today. First, Haa Rei played dress-up to test out his Golden Saint and Dark Seducer costumes. We think that the Daedra wear them better though.

Then we went for an adventure, and made a discovery of mammoth proportions.

Finally, we finished our day with a trip to the crown store, and used some left over crown points to buy a new pet. Introducing Venatrix, arguably the cutest member of Team Haa Rei.

Acadian
Woot! What a treat to come back to a pictorial of the Bosmeri homeland! IPB Image

I love the trees and mist there - it looks so. . . wood elfy. biggrin.gif Also love the critters - Senche Tiger, Spriggan and that adorable little lizerd.

Gosh, Buffy is quite envious of Haa Rei right now! tongue.gif
Grits
A tea house! That would be awesome.

These Valenwood pictures are my favorite yet. The senche and spriggan look amazing! I saw some wild tigers with Lil but she sneaked on by because we thought they would eat her. laugh.gif

That Ayleid structure looks properly overgrown and mossy. I’m another fan of the swampy areas. I love the ones in High Rock.

Haa Rei looks great in his new daedric outfits. smile.gif

Congrats on Haa Rei’s new lizard friend! Wow, he’s so cute, I love him! (Or her?) wub.gif
SubRosa
More fun pics. I am loving the look of Valenwood.

The Wood Orcs have a male shaman? That is interesting. In Skyrim, all the shamans are female.

Haa-Rei looks exactly like a Golden Saint! wink.gif laugh.gif I think I liked how the GS and DS outfits looked in Oblivion better though.

A monitor lizard!

The armor looks great! Oh, that lizard is so cute! This is my first sighting of one, I haven't seen one in the game yet.

Great shots!

hazmick
Acadian - I'm glad you and Buffy like the shots! She'd absolutely love it here, provided she didn't eat any plants. The Bosmer are really into their Green Pact.

Grits - I know what you mean about those High Rock swamps. The best part of that whole Daggerfall Covenant if you ask me biggrin.gif Oh and we think the lizard is a she (the default name was 'Princess') and she makes the cutest growl-y lizard noise in the entire world. laugh.gif

'Rosa - It seems the Wood Orcs partially follow the Wood Elf way of doing things, with a male spiritual leader. The Bosmer have male Spinners (like shaman/storytellers) and the Silvenar (spirit of the Bosmer) is also a man. Their non-spiritual leaders are female, such as their Treethanes and The Green Lady (Silvenar's wife). Wood Orc chief is still a man though, so the Wood Orcs seem to be really patriarchal.

As for the costumes, they look much better on other people. Haa Rei is far too skinny for heavy armour, and helmets just aren't made with Argonians in mind tongue.gif

mALX - The lizard is a brand new addition to the crown store. They added some nice new outfits too!

Here's another dress-up picture. Haa Rei likes this one a lot more. I just love the Legion look too.

That lizard is very cute! Does he make any sounds or have any cute animations when he is idling?

Oh, I looked it up; liked the female Legion one a lot! I still have 9500 crowns to spend; just can't decide what I want, lol.

Is it a trick of the camera, hazmick, or is the mammoth in ESO smaller than the ones in Skyrim?

I setscale'd my Bosmer hunter to 0.92 so she is pretty small next to the giants and the mammoths. I love the feel of her being dwarfed (pun intended) by so much in this northern province.

That may be a trick of Haa Rei being closer to the camera and the mammoth being a distance from it. They are quite large, and the giants usually found with them are actually larger in ESO than the ones in Skyrim. However, in ESO the mammoth are not tame/friendly to the player unless you are rescuing them and become their and the giant's friend. (so best to avoid them if/when possible).

Thanks for that info! I kind of thought it was a trick of perspective, but that mammoth looked cute being so tiny in the picture! Awww!

Yep yep. Haa Rei is just standing at a distance, for health and safety reasons. tongue.gif Mammoths are quite tough, so we avoid them whenever possible. I should be able to find a friendly one somewhere though. I'll have a look.

Edit: Here we are. Haa Rei with giant and Haa Rei with mammoth. The mammoth wasn't too pleased to see him so it's in mid-attack, but you get the idea.

Davon's Watch Drunk Mages:

*Unfortunately, the Mages in Davon's Watch used Destruction magic for their displays, I can't find all the better screens of it, but suffice it to say - the Guards were called in to break it up and a fight ensued.

So far, Davon's Watch is my favorite place to be on a Loredas night; there is always something wild and crazy going on there every weekend, laugh.gif

Acadian
Wow, mALX! Those ESO'ers really know how to party! And I love how their horses are welcome to join in the fun, along with what look to be some pets and summons. Dancing, drinking, magic and, sure enough, clothes start falling off. What fun! Thank you for sharing these smile-producing screenies. biggrin.gif

As for Haa Rei - we saw a big cat, got pretty close to a big Mammoth, got dressed up in our best Orc disguise, saw some more big cats, and traveled to the city of Silvenar.

Phew. Now to relax with a good book...oh...maybe not that one. There must be something decent to read around here.

Does this mean you have completed the Mages Guild?

Ah, I see now how I was seeing an Orc in that one screen! When it comes in an email notice, you can only see the link and not the enclosed words, lol. I couldn't figure out how/where Haa Rei was in that screen, laugh.gif

Is that the quest where you go into the past or is that an actual disguise you can don at will?

Great shots!!!

mALX

@ Acadian - It was the one thing I never expected to find in an online game; is the fun of watching how other people roleplay! I never would have thought of half the stuff they do; it really is amazing how creative people are!

Davon's Watch always has something really entertaining going on. Mournhold's weekend parties = way too wild for me, laugh.gif Thank you, Acadian!

@ SubRosa - When they first raised their bony hands up with the little flames and were swaying to the music; I was in hysterics. Then one of them was turning in the dance and his flame let loose onto the other and caught him on fire, I was rolling on the floor laughing. I get such a kick out of what people think up to do in this game, it is so spontaneous and creative - really entertaining!

Thank you, SubRosa!

@ Ghastley - I could be wrong and it be a missing texture, but I think that is her gauntlets, it looks kind of like the same color as her cuirass, but truthfully I didn't notice it in game (but I had my eyes on the horses gathering on the clotheslines and having rearing contests). Next thing I knew everyone in town was summoning their horses and rearing, then the framerates started choking up the screen so I had to leave Mournhold quickly, lol.

Thank you, Ghastley!

@ Hazmick - I think I'm about to find out, Misa is at level 49 now, I think. Thanks Hazmick!

Acadian
Hazmick, love the big cats and Silvenar looks spectaucular - just the way it should. What is it with Argonian maids and suggestive literature? tongue.gif
Grits
Great party pictures, mALX! Davon’s Watch is always fun to see on the weekends. Jerric is also a fan of Mournhold mayhem, but Darnand who is in Daggerfall city does not want any part of that madness!

hazmick, those big cats are gorgeous! I love the picture of Haa Rei looking for something to read. smile.gif
SubRosa
Wow, those big cats are big! Nice kitty...

You can disguise yourself as another race? That is neat. Is it something special that can only be done as part of a quest?

Silvenar looks really neat. Valenwood looks really cool in ESO.
hazmick
@Acadain - It's nice that Argonians are so popular I suppose. I just wish it was a different kind of popular biggrin.gif

@Grits - They all had fun names too! I think Haa Rei has a new favourite crafting area.

@SubRosa - That's Valenwood for you, everything is big except the Bosmer. tongue.gif The Orc disguise was indeed quest specific. Had to sneak through a Wood Orc Stronghold and those folks are none too friendly.
hazmick
Today Haa Rei and I moved away from the wilder parts of Valenwood and arrived in Reaper's March - an area which is half Valenwood, half Elsweyr, and bordered by Cyrodiil to the north.

This proximity to Cyrodiil means that there's a whole guar-load of Colovian buildings dotted all over the place, which is one of Haa Rei's favourite types of architecture! This in turn means that there are a few Colovians causing trouble too, and in one quest to get rid of them our adventurous Argonian got to briefly don the guise of a real life Colovian Centurion.

We also unlocked the outfit of everyone's favourite necromantic nuisance, Mannimarco.

Finally - we found an interesting book, On Argonians. Albeit a very short book.
Acadian
Love the variety in both terrain and architecture that Haa-Rei is encountering. The ability to so fully adopt disguises must come in very much handy at times! Thanks for showing us that little book on the lizard folk. Finally, a commitment that they really are cold blooded and some neat insight regarding how they make that work even in cold climes. Neat! biggrin.gif
SubRosa
That is a neat statue of Hircine. He is really speared up!

Don't Fear The Reaper's march. Cool bridge, and pointy roofed houses. The art design of ESO is really interesting.

Haa-Rei has a soul patch!

Cold-Blooded Argonians then? That would give them one big advantage, in that they would need to eat far less than other races. Most of the energy that warm-blooded animals gain from food is spent in maintaining their body temperature. Because cold-blooded animals don't burn up so many calories that way, they can go for much longer periods without eating. It is one of the things that makes them ideally suited to barren places like deserts.

Daggerfall never seems to get as wild as the others, I mean other than the mages showing off their light shows; which is kind of beautiful and peaceful. (and nice if you happen to need healing, lol).

It is kind of like a fireworks display, everyone just kind of gathers around and watches, sits down to watch, etc.

What a great update this is! I can't wait to see some of these (new to me) regions!

I love the disguises/morphs, they are so much fun! There is a whole guild of players that only wear their goblin morphs, lol.

How do you get the rewards (like Mannimarco's attire) for reaching veteran level 10? Does it come in your mailbox?

And thank you for showing the books! That is Awesome! Oh, showing books - does this mean you have completed the Mages Guild? Able to read all those lore books now?

These are some Awesome shots !!! It is so fun to see where I might be one day !!!

Misa has reached veteran level 1, and has not done Eastmarch or the Rift yet. She needs to get back to Skyrim and do those regions before she gets any higher level.

Just wanted to show the two nice armor sets that were given to me by friends I met playing online (and one I made for myself shown first):

I made this armor (being modeled by Caria the Altmer). It is the Wood Elf styled Death Wind armor set. Death Wind is one of the easiest armor sets to make in the game:

The below link gives an idea of the benefits of wearing Death Wind armor.

** For all these armor sets = my armor was made for a character of a much lower level, so the bonuses are in lower amounts on my sets.

This next armor was made as a gift for me (and Misa) by a girl from Australia that I play with a lot; she is Awesome! Sometimes when we are done playing we just talk on TeamSpeak as if we were on the telephone talking, lol.

In the screen Misa is in that pretty area below Weynon Priory in Cyrodiil.

This armor is actually a combination of three sets to give my character the most protection and bonuses (and because some of the Night Mother armor was really buggly; like the night mother helm looked like a mask of her face in Skyrim; and the pauldrons looked like skulls on your shoulders, etc. Misa preferred to change out those pieces for a nicer look), laugh.gif

Here is a description of the three sets:

Night Mother's Gaze (which has better stats on the bonuses than is showing here, not sure why they are so low in this example):

Whitestrake:

And the Viper's Sting set, which is only found in loot or on dead NPC's when you kill one that has them:

This next armor was another gift, made for me by a guy from a Guild I joined; without saying a word he just sent it as a surprise gift!

That armor is a combination of the Night Mother (seen above) and the Twice-Born Star; here is a description of that armor's bonuses:

Death Wind? Is that armor made during a Chili cook-off? wink.gif

How neat that Weynon Priory is in ESO. I don't know why, I mean obviously the Imperial City, Whiterun, and so forth are in it. But it is nice to see the old places in a new game.

+ pretty white horse! smile.gif

Misa's black and gold armor does look pretty neat.

I've become hooked on Cyrodiil in this game, lol. I have actually stayed overnight at the Weynon Priory; at the Oak and Crosier Inn in Chorrol; at an NPC's home in Cheydinhall, Bruma, etc.

And since this takes place in the 1st Era; Fort Black Boot and all those other forts are there, but thriving forts instead of abandoned and taken over by bandits/necromancers/critters. And you can't fight your way through these forts without an army, laugh.gif

* That armor is Ebony armor, and it is my favorite of all; not just because it was such a nice gift. It is beautiful.

MALX, what nice new armors! I think maybe I like the middle one best (black and gold). . . or maybe because it is as SubRosa points out - The White Horse Factor! biggrin.gif

I'm glad that, with some PvP precautions, you are able to spend time and have some fun in the dangerous province of Cyrodiil.

@mALX - Yep, level rewards like the outfit get dropped in you mailbox. Also, yes we've finished the Mages Guild. Really handy when you just want to sit down and read a good book laugh.gif

Haa Rei has finished his business in Reaper's March, which means he's done with the Dominion and has finished Cadwell's grand quest to experience all three alliances.

How did Haa Rei spend his last day, I hear you ask? Well, we saw some more gorgeous architecture, saw a cool bird, met a nice...dog, explored a wonderful Khajiit temple, and visited the mystical demi-plane of an ancient Khajiit god. All in a day's work.

We'll be off to Cyrodiil next. mALX's screenies have us excited for a spot of sightseeing.

What a nice collection of shots from the Reaper's March area, hazmick!

Oh noes! Barbas made it to ESO! ohmy.gif

Looking forward to Haa-Rei's impressions of Cyrodiil.
SubRosa
Cadwell has some interesting headgear! biggrin.gif

That is a neat falcon!

I see Barabbas made it to ESO as well. And he looks just like he did in Skyrim. It is nice that the makers of ESO maintained continuity with the other games like that.
