** Am I the only one who has fallen in love with the Betty Netches? OMG, I LOVE them! That sound they make is so peaceful and pleasant!

Jerric loves to wander the hills where the netches and guar herds are grazing. The quiet pockets of Morrowind are just gorgeous.

hazmick, I love that Haa Rei got to visit his hatching pool. The picture of him with Lyris Titanborn is my favorite yet. I love the armor he is wearing, and it’s great news that we’ll get to save Lyris somehow. She does indeed look like a Titan standing next to Haa Rei! happy.gif

Here are some from Jerric:

Inside Ash Mountain.

Great day for fishing.

Say, did you hear something?

Geared up for the fight. But he had to strip down again and swim across first.

Back on the far shore cleaning the catch.

Jerric’s greeting to this captive made me grin.

I love how you can wear your shield on your back. Can you use a two-handed weapon with a shield on your back? Or is that just where your shield goes when you sheath your sword?

I am surprised at how many Skyrim things I see in this. Like the way the spoken text is displayed, or the compass bar. Not to mention how many Skyrim mods are built into ESO, like fishing and shields on your back. I know ESO was not made by Bethesda, so I was expecting it to look much different.

OMG, these fishing shots are fantastic! I never fished in Skyrim, is it this good there too? With the cleaning fish and everything? That is amazing! Oh, I am going to have to fish now, that is really exciting for roleplay to even see him cleaning the fish! And the bobber in the water fishing! Does it really bob up and down and everything?

Oh no, oh dear. I am supposed to be "talking to" that same person, and last time I looked the marker was in Ash Mountain ... where I got killed a hundred times trying to find the Skyshard and never found it !!!! Urk.

I was really not wanting to go back in there, so pushed that quest aside while I did a few easier ones (hoping to get the courage up to go back in, I guess). sad.gif

That’s my favorite of Jerric’s shields. I love looking at it while he walks around. biggrin.gif The shield is shown on the character when it’s equipped in the off-hand, stowed on the back when the one-handed weapon is sheathed. Equipping a greatsword fills both hands and un-equips the shield. I haven’t tried it but I doubt that the shield would show on the character’s back when it wasn’t equipped.

The battle inside Ash Mountain is pretty tough, so you have a good idea to be prepared. It took some strategy and a few potions, plus Jerric ate his best food before the fight. It was very satisfying, though, and now some folks call him the Hero of Ash Mountain. Unlike some other titles he really feels like he earned this one!

Fishing and heroism - the Story of Jerric.

Great shots. Those pesky anchors are always ruining the peace and quiet, Molag Bal is terribly rude.

Love the final picture. I do hope he remembered to wear a shirt for the rescue mission.

Urk, now I'm really glad I didn't take this one right away. I thought originally they just showed the Captain right outside the gates and that maybe if I hurried I could catch her before she ends up in Ash Mountain. I really hated Ash mountain badly, and those horrible evil monkeys with their fire spells were worse than the spiders - and all of them attacked in groups, no singular attacks! Gaaaaah. sad.gif

I might take some time and do some Provisionary stuff first, get myself psyched up to do it, lol.

The evil monkeys sound like those scamps that burned the hells out of Jerric every time he turned around in that area. Those runes they cast on the ground, ugh! Killing so many of them made him level up in the Fighters Guild. He used Reflective Light from the Dawn’s Wrath skill line against them a lot, since it hits up to three targets. He loves being a Templar. biggrin.gif

The fight inside Ash Mountain is the very last battle in the whole big quest, and you know you are going to do it because you use a portal to get in there. Don’t worry about getting forced in without warning, you will know it’s coming.

hazmick, lol. Jerric has a near-Saxhleel affinity for warm water, so he’s been shirtless a lot around Ebonheart. Not in the city, though. Or when rescuing Dunmeri lasses lieutenants. laugh.gif

Hey, how does Jerric level up in the fighters guild killing the fire-monkey things? Is that a separate quest for them or does just joining the Fighters Guild give bonuses for combat/killing?

Once you join the Fighters Guild you get their skill line, and you can put skill points into it just like any other skill line. The way you increase the Fighters Guild skill is by killing daedra and possibly undead, I’m not really sure. Kind of the way making potions levels up your Alchemy skill and making daggers levels up Blacksmithing. He also got a notice that his Fighters Guild skill had increased after he helped close a Dark Anchor, and that was all about daedra and undead killing.

Okay, so it is possible that all my fighting in Ash Mountain did gain me some skill in the Fighters Guild - that is nice to know, at least something came of it, lol. Thank you for the info!!!

Jerric has to clear up some business with a coral heart, but then the FG quest Anchors from the Harbor is next up. He’s already in the area, so unless he gets too involved with various Dunmeri farmers and their guar problems he should soon meet two guild mates. smile.gif

He also has a Mages Guild assignment, but looking for books is not his top priority. He never gets to tell cute books that he’s there to rescue them. tongue.gif
hazmick

While Jerric is all warm and toasty in Ash Mountain, Haa Rei freezes his scales off in Skyrim. This particular ruin is so cold that you have to run from campfire to campfire to stop yourself freezing to death. Charming place.

Thankfully Haa Rei found a Nord crafting book, so he made some warmer clothes upon his return to Riften. He also dyed them and crafted a matching staff. It just wouldn't do to look shabby.

Not with that attitude biggrin.gif The Mages Guild is a fun questline, and there's plenty of stuff for Jerric to punch, stab, slash, bash, and generally wound.
Acadian
Grits – What a happy dilemma, trying to decide if Jerric looks better all armored up or bare-chested. happy.gif Fabulous shots and, as SubRosa mentioned, love the shield-on-back feature.

Hazmick – Poor Haa-Rei, back in the frozen tundra. Great stuff he’s crafting though! goodjob.gif
hazmick
Haa Rei left the snowy peaks of Skyrim behind today as his journey continued into the hellish realm of Coldharbour. Having a great deal of fun fighting daedra, but the landscape is incredibly bleak.

There are still plenty of damsels to rescue though.

The lovely Lamias also seem to enjoy the lute.

The fun continues elsewhere, and one weird potion later... That's Haa-Rei on the left, and Maximus the Scuttler on the right. Odd being the smallest and least reptilian person in the room.
Acadian
Coldharbour does look bleak but that is what I’d expect. Those lamias look very cool and I can certainly see why Haa-Rei likes them!

An Argonian monkey! ohmy.gif laugh.gif Better than being turned into a chicken I guess. wink.gif

OMG, when I saw the first shot I thought that wiggly thing was his arms; like they were still injured from that battle where his arms glowed! It freaked me out till I looked closer and saw his arms were warming himself and that was a staff on his back, rollinglaugh.gif

I love the armor, and dying to know how dying clothing works! I tried to dye Misa's greaves pink, but couldn't figure out how to do it, lol.

Boy do these shots give the feeling that it is freezing there! And that cave where it is so cold you have to stay near campfires - that is awesome, they really went all out in this game!

Coldharbour isn't all doom and gloom...

We were also joined by Sir Cadwell's 'noble steed', a Bantam Guar named Honor. Haa-Rei complains that the missing 'U' in its name makes his scales hurt.

On with the adventures though. Leaving behind our charming Lamia companions and the less charming armies of daedra, we find ourselves in the land of Hammerfell. More specifically: the island of Stros M'Kai.

Introducing Haa-Rei's newest companion, Guaraug the Tessellated Guar.

Our first thought is simply the word "dry".

There are some absolutely gorgeous Dwemer ruins though. We'll be diving straight into those after finding somewhere to get a drink.

mALX

Wow, is that Hermeous Mora's realm? The knowledge and candles ... ????

Honor (or Honour, as you prefer it, lol) - is ADORABLE !!!!

These screens are amazing! It is gorgeous!!!!!! Oh, I love seeing this, a real incentive to keep pushing on through!!!

hazmick
Still in Coldharbour there mALX. It's a little underground hideout made by Sir Cadwell, right out in the wastes. Has some crafting benches and stuff.

One more screenie before bed:

First look at Daggerfall

Oh, Daggerfall is gorgeous!

Well, did you check all those books for some skill ups? Were there any in them?

Acadian
Hazmick – That lizard of yours really gets around!

Coldharbour - Wow, what a library! All Haa-Rei needs is some reading tea. Honor, honour, tomaaeto, tomaahto. biggrin.gif

Hammerfell - A guar seems perfect for Haa-Rei. Does the animal share some of Haa-Rei’s reptilian traits? The desert looks magnificent. Reminds me of the fabulous deserts of Anequina in Elsweyr. Those ruins do look awfully tempting. . . .

Daggerfall – Very impressive. I imagine the green is welcome after spending time in Hammerfell. smile.gif
Grits
hazmick, Haa Rei looks cozy in his Nord attire. happy.gif I love that staff, it’s beautiful! The ‘U’ in Honor’s name went to spell ‘ColdHarbour.’ tongue.gif Congrats on Guaraug the Tessellated Guar! Haa Rei picked my favorite. They look awesome and well-suited to weird terrain. Hammerfell and Daggerfall look gorgeous. Jerric is lingering in Kragenmoor, so it’s nice to see new lands in your pictures.

Here’s Jerric’s new favorite fishing hole. He can either look at those falls or turn around and watch the bull netch while he’s fishing. There’s a lava flow right there so he can take a hot bath and then a cool shower whenever he feels like it. If there was a cookfire nearby he may not have ever left.

Jerric doing magely things. His magicka regenerates just like everyone else’s due to a lack of true Atronach blessing (at least so far), so he can cast more spells in combat than he has ever been able to cast in his life. Cast more times, that is, not use a variety of spells. His spell book is very thin. But the ones he knows, he casts a lot!
ghastley
Honor was obviously named after this Englishwoman.
Acadian
Beautiful shots, Grits. I can’t help but notice that Jerric is wearing quite a bit more than, say, the typical wood elf might wear so close to waterfalls. . . . whistling.gif His maging looks pretty spectacular! Is he summoning an arch mage? Wow, I’ll bet Jerric is really enjoying not having to make and lug around so much Jerric juice with his ESO magicka regeneration. goodjob.gif
hazmick
mALX - they were all just for show I'm afraid. Not a single skill point to be found sad.gif

Acadian - Yep, he can't sit still for more than 5 minutes. Such is the life of an adventurer, and what better steed for an Argonian than a Guar! I have a sneaking suspicion that the two are distantly related. biggrin.gif

ghastley - Ah yes, Honor Blackguar. Has lots of cats, I believe. tongue.gif

Grits - One of these days Jerric is going to fish right into the path of an Argonian out for a morning swim. biggrin.gif Glad to see him helping out the Mages Guild. Can't wait to hear his thoughts on it all.

Haa-Rei is still unsure about Daggerfall. Everyone seems a bit too fancy for a lizard who grew up in a mud hut. The scenery isn't too bad though, and the Bretons have some pretty nice outfits. Haa-Rei never thought he'd miss the Dark Elves, but all he wants to do right now is to rescue a cute Dunmer from almost certain death. It's the simple things in life that you miss the most.
Acadian
Hazmick, I know what you mean about not sitting still for five minutes. My elf’s the same. tongue.gif

Yup, a guar mount sounds perfect!

Wow, that first scenery shot here in Daggerfall is very neat. What a beautiful big tree. And nice shot of Haa-Rei’s bow on his back.

So, in the second picture, is he wearing a Breton outfit? If so, something tells me he’ll never really pass for one of them. wink.gif
SubRosa
Honor is cute!

It is neat to see all these other cultures, for the first time in a long time. Daggerfell has pretty towers, and I love the sand dunes of Hammerfell. But I agree with Haa, the Bretons sound like they have a bug up their hind ends.

Jerric fishing got me interested in fishing big time, but so far haven't made it to actually fish. That is really interesting about the Atronach power, is that something they have in ESO? I didn't find it if it was, but would sure like it. I run out of Magicka all the time; and at the worst moments.

I saw some Player party goers killing a Betty Netch - had to leave, because there was nothing I could do to stop them. I didn't want to see her die, but did find her body on the way back through. Really ticked me off, they are so awesome, I hate to see them slaughtered for no reason.

I had to summon Arch Mage Shalidor for Sheogorath; is that the same quest? Somehow when Misa did it, it didn't look as cool or deserve a screenshot, lol. Urk. Jerric must be an awesome mage!

Love these screenshots, Jerric looks great in ESO !!!

Acadian, Jerric got to summon and consult with the real Shalidor in that scene! He was somewhat in awe and even more convinced that he’s experiencing some sort of extended fever dream. Sadly Arch-Mage Shalidor is not a regular summoning spell, so Jerric has to wait to talk to him again. Jerric keeps checking the waterfalls for wood elves. Hope springs eternal. happy.gif

Love these screenshots, Jerric looks great in ESO !!!

In Oblivion the Atronach Birthsign gives you zero magicka regeneration, and in Skyrim I have modded the Atronach Stone to give zero magicka regeneration instead of just slowing it. So Jerric is used to having no magicka regen at all, he only gets magicka from absorption and potions. In ESO his magicka is the same as everyone else’s since he is not cursed by the Atronach. He still runs out, but then it comes back on its own so he can cast again.

Funnily enough the ESO Atronach Mundus Stone supposedly increases your magicka regen, which is the opposite of the previous games. Jerric hasn’t found the Atronach Mundus Stone yet. He’s found The Lady and The Lover so far.

The Shalidor screenshot is the same quest that Misa did, it’s part of the Mages Guild quests related to Sheogorath. The ritual just looked cool, so I snapped a rare shot of Jerric looking like a mage. biggrin.gif I hate when players kill the Bettys. Apparently there’s some kind of achievement for it. kvleft.gif

Jerric went fishing again today after some saddening (and unavoidable) deaths in a major quest. Since he’s alone and the brothel ‘nightflowers’ are always busy, fishing is his way to unwind. The bobber does bob and there are fun fishing noises. He loves it.

The Breton outfit ended up being a no-go. Not enough scale motifs on it for Haa-Rei's taste.

The scenery of High Rock continues to impress, and we even found a cosy swamp area.

Also, some traditional Breton stonework. I believe they refer to this as 'art'.

Finally, at a Hammerfell-themed engagement party, Haa-Rei found someone with which to have a pleasant conversation. At last.
Acadian
'Cosy swamp area' is just a spectacular shot. I love the color and details on both Haa-Rei and his guar, as well as the nice flowing water in front of them. Makes a nice balance with the more gloomy leafless trees and fog.

Oh noes! Not gonna trade the guar in for a camel is he? tongue.gif

Still not sure if I'm getting ESO, but wow those screens are great! Grits and Hamzick, I bet you guys are having so much fun in Tamriel.
SubRosa
The cosy swamp looks great. It looks like they did a much better job on the shore line than the regular ES games. In those ones there is a very sharp contrast between water and land, and the contours of the shore tended to have a lot of straight lines. But in ESO the shore looks much more rounded and gradual. The lillypads and reeds growing out of the water help too. That pic makes me want Elder Scrolls VI: Black Marsh.
ghastley
I wonder to what extent they're using ESO to determine preferences for TES VI? Most popular areas become candidates for next game's setting?
Darkness Eternal
Probably High Rock due to the area. Bethesda is a fan of medieval europe and trees and stuff. I like it too. But I'd be a welcome change to visit Elsweyr in the sixth installment. I'd definitely roll out a khajiit and take a break from Imperials. I find their lore and culture fascinating.

At last.

OMG, the camel has a name? How awesome! Great screenshots!

Glad everyone enjoyed the swamp scene. You'll be happy to hear that Haa-Rei will be leaving High Rock soon. The Alik'r Desert calls.

Bretonland hasn't all been bad though, there's plenty of fun to be had.

You'll also be pleased to hear that we decided on a more Daggerfall Covenant friendly outfit. Perfect for hiding from all those high and mighty nobles that keep telling Haa-Rei to help them.
Acadian
Wow, that looks like Haa-Rei sending in his clannfear to fight a daedroth?

Love the second picture. Haa-Rei looks great with his nifty guar and new robes.

I like to think of it as a brave clannfear protecting its master from the abnormally large daedroth biggrin.gif

A young man approached Haa-Rei today and asked him to help save his fiance. Turns out an Orc servant girl had a thing for this guys fiance, and the fiance's noblewoman mother didn't approve. Noblewoman mother decided that the only course of action was to ask a daedra for help.

Haa-Rei has decided that noblewoman mother is an idiot, but he still helped out once he saw what was going on in their basement.

Finally managed to switch it on with some conjuration know-how, and dove right in.
Grits
Yikes, the Deadlands?! Jerric is not going to be pleased with that noblewoman. Love Haa Rei’s new outfit! That camel is adorable. wub.gif
SubRosa
That is some basement! Does "A Change In Heart" mean cutting it out and serving it to a Daedra? wink.gif

Wow, I haven't seen the Deadlands in some time. I cannot say I really miss it. Those interminable gates made doing the main quest of Oblivion really monotonous.

Acadian
As Grits said, 'Yikes, the Deadlands?!' That is so Third Era! biggrin.gif

Seriously, your game looks great!

It's Oblivion !!!! AWESOME !!!! Now THAT is a realm I feel very comfortable in, lol. (I hope!)

Pleased to see you all (more or less) enjoyed the Deadlands. Or enjoyed seeing it, at least. biggrin.gif

Haa-Rei has finally managed to finish his business in High Rock, and has moved to Hammerfell. The Alik'r desert is lovely this time of year. Plenty of sand and necromancy. We're not too sure about the fashion though. Decided to just dye the regular Argonian gear some desert-y colours instead.

To business then, and Haa-Rei has been helping out at a water farm and enjoying some lizard racing. I hesitate to add that Haa-Rei didn't participate in the lizard race, but we are pleased to see that reptiles are so highly prized in Redguard society. The rest of Tamriel could learn a thing or two from these folks...

Updates: We found a crafting station so decided to make some more comfortable armor. Went with the Khajiit design, and the Breton style hood (since it has a handy anti-sand mask). Decided to hunt some Dunerippers as a field test. Think of them as a cross between crocodiles and armadillos. The armor was a success.
Acadian
Great shots, hazmick! Hammerfell looks wonderful - especially since I love the desert. Glad to see Haa-Rei is enjoying his tour or Tamriel and learning so many new things. smile.gif

In the first shot, are we seeing bare-naked Argonian legs? I love that lizard, those things are wicked fast! Can you feed them up like you can with horses?

I love this desert area, it looks so well done! Acadian used a mod of Elsweyr that was desert area, and it looked fantastic too; (and Skyrim had a desert mod that was awesome as well) - and so far I haven't actually gotten to play any of them.

Is the desert area an area you have to be a veteran rank to play?

These are all great shots, I'm really loving seeing what is ahead!
