Now that I'm in ESO, I'm enjoying these screenshots even more!
Julian has now finished the Glenumbra zone. She has found all the Skyshards and the Lore Books in the zone, and finished all the quests there. She's up to level 16 going into the next zone - Stormhaven, where Wayrest is located. She will be a long time reaching Wayrest, though, as there's a lot to do before she gets there.
She's given her Piebald Destrier Paint to Mazul, and is back to using her Imperial White horse Blanco (natch). She also sent Puff the Magic Drake back home to rest, and is trying out the Northern Lynx. She is still wearing the lovely armor mALX sent her, the Death Wind medium armor set that she redyed in Desert Storm colors. But now that we are moving further away from the desert, she is rethinking her color scheme. As a stealth player, she needs to blend in, and this color combination kind of makes her stick out.
I think Julian leveled up to 17 this afternoon, but I'm not quite sure.
After I had dinner today, I took Mazul out for some
head bashing. She is still using the battle axe she got from Chief Tazgol at Betnikh. Did some harvesting, but ran into a battered group of people fleeing a magical devastation that ruined their village. She got suckered into fighting imps and spriggans, and she really flexed her magical muscles in addition to her physical muscles. The entire quest line in this part of Glenumbra centers around a corruption of the
Wyrd Tree something right up SubRosa's alley, to be honest. Mazul has never been a religious type, but something about the work the Wyrd Sisters are doing resonated with her, and she threw herself into restoring the Wyrd Tree north of Daggerfall.
Somewhere along the way she met an Orc who
kind of rubbed her the wrong way, but because his group was in trouble, she went along and helped them out. This was a really funny quest involving a novice mercenary group called the Daggers, who, trying to get started, took a job from a rather shady noble. The Orc is the first member of the group she runs into, and
she is not too impressed by him.Even less impressive, and really quite funny, are the
two brothers that form part of the group. They have the classic sibling rivalry going on, and the one brother, who is supposed to be genius,
isn't exactly brimming with common sense.Mazul returned to Daggerfall for inventory management, crafting practice, and ran into someone
pretending to be her inspiration. Though based on the name, I suspect this character has her Orc and Nord traditions mixed up. Still, Mazoga liked the armor. On the other hand, she wasn't impressed by the facial piercings. Something for the enemy to grab a hold of in battle. I tried to tell her that her beautiful long hair can be the same kind of problem, but you just can't criticize this grrl's hair.
Then the Prophet summoned her to the Harborage, where she spent some time back in Coldharbour, searching for and helping Lyris Titanborn escape the Foundry of Woe. Afterwards, she spent a little quiet time soaking up
Nirn's peace and warmth.Back in the city, Mazul crafted
a new set of iron armor, now that she has out leveled the Gallant Chain that Captain Kaleen gave her. We are trying out a new color scheme for her, one that she likes quite a bit.
Back on the road again, Mazul walked the entire way up to
Aldcroft. And that is where I left her for the night. Apparently there is a werewolf problem that needs some serious head bashing.
While ESO Julian uses her horse quite a bit to move around, I've discovered that Mazul leaves hers stabled. She tries to stop by and take a lesson to increase the horse's carrying capacity, but that is the only value the horse has for her. Because Paint was a gift from Julian, Mazul won't have him for dinner. But she still prefers to get around on her own two feet. So Paint is hanging out in the stable getting fat.
