As much as I like to see my cousin, she's got a frankly ridiculously strong grip, and tends to aim for my neck when she hugs me. I've a running joke with my aunt that I'm bringing duct tape/cattleprod/taser/tranquiliser gun to family gatherings. This year I went with duct tape biggrin.gif

On the upside, it's looking like I will be seeing my other cousin at the family gathering, so there will be geeking out! biggrin.gif

Which cousin? The cuddler or the geek? Because I prefer those to the other two. Assuming the cuddler; she's at the age where she can get away with it


Anyway, in a while I'm going to be breaking out a bottle of Pimm's I was given by my uncle. He wasn't going to drink it, nor was my dad, and my sister's fiance can't drink much in the way of gin, so I figured I'd give it a try. Throw it in a glass with some lemonade as the bottle suggests, see how it goes.

My cousin has always been pampered by everyone, not least her mother, so I guess she has always been a little bit on a high horse. Not that she's obnoxious or so, but you can sort of tell she looks down on you. My aunt even more so despite all the work me and my dad have done. It's simply not worth anything compared to the occasional home baked cookie she made apparently. Don't get me wrong, that has always been appreciated. But to actually think that's worth more than going to the wood, taking down trees, bringing them home and turning them into dry firewood year after year is simply ridiculous.

I don't require much, but respect for the work I do is one thing I do require. My aunt failed to honestly give me that.

It really doesn't help that my aunt thinks it's adorable. She used to break up the wrestling with my other cousins, but won't lift a finger to thwart The Cuddler(yes, she's now a batman villain, deal with it, same as I must rollinglaugh.gif )

Man that sucks. People just don't appreciate hard work these days, and manual labor is something to be looked down on. Smh. I respect all artisans, whether they be building stuff out of wood, forging things from metal, textiling fine cloth, or whatever else.

Well, to be more specific it's a room-escape puzzle game. Unfortunately I haven't played any other games of that type, apart from its predecessor.

Oh, I used to play one of those that Microsoft ran along with Chips Challenge on my first computer - it was really fun! I can't remember the name of it, but the levels got progressively harder and through some curve balls at you like enemies that couldn't be killed you had to pass somehow, etc.

This one's something of a problem. The plot actually relies on a modicum of metagaming, with I think nine different endings to find. So unless you uncover certain details in some endings, you can't progress to others.

I actually got a "To Be Continued" screen earlier when I reached a point where I needed a password and username that I didn't have. Being unable to access that computer means I can't progress on that path until later.
