No, no... that couldn't be right. Certainly not online, where misconceptions over the meaning of statements, particularly those in written form, are all but unheard of. I can't imagine that anyone else has experienced this recently, though my memory isn't great these days.

This was going to be a PM. But you know what, I'll say this here and now.

I'll be blunt. I know you. You don't outright say something yet you go about dropping little not-so-subtle hints about things or issues that go through your mind. Its what gives you away.

Now, from the last post you made I know for a fact you might even have suspicions that I was involved in that damn fiasco regarding the false mALX. I suppose my recent joke about asking Kiln to hold the hammer might have sparked a curiosity or perhaps suspicion that I was the culprit behind that disgusting act.

One thing. I made the same comments in nearly every forum I'm in. I like banhammers. I joke around, a lot. People seem to take me seriously some times.

Secondly. When you say "shake" up the forums, I meant the fanfiction section. I don't care about the other areas, I frankly don't give a damn. I was attracted by the idea of writers coming together to write and provide feedback to one another sans bias or negative attitude, which I am sure its exactly what went on here.

In fact, the reason why that second profile(Lycanthropic-Legend) was made that you made a [censored] huge fuss about was because I wondered if the forum members were biased when "Darkness Eternal" posted a new story, and refused to provide an comments or feedback. It seems other stories were getting so much attention with fairly new writers that I wanted to see if a "new member" could post a story and receive, how should I put this . . . "fair dues."

It wasn't meant to bring down the forums. In fact, it was meant to see if people were refusing to read my stories out of being biased. The false mALX, from what I've gathered, wanted to destroy the entire forums. Something I would never do. In fact, all I do want is a better, greater fanfiction section. Nevermind anywhere else.

Whatever comments I made about banning people was a jest. A mere jest. So don't for one moment go about thinking and sending conspiracy messages to other members pointing fingers at me for being mALX 2, which I am sure is what may have happened. I'm not exactly the most appreciated member here but I would never stoop so low as to pretend to be another member, a member who has been so much help to me during the time I was in the forums, a member who has actually provided me feedback and rated my stories from start to finish. mALX is one of the very, very, and I will say again VERY few individuals who did so. So I respect her more than anyone here can imagine and that's because she did more than just "vouch" for me(funny, it seems you think vouching for me seems to be something negative mALX would do *shrug*). Is it because I am not worthy to be vouched for? Isn't this a family forum?

You may think I sound rude, but I'm not. I'm being honest. I can see where this is going and I want to cut the tree at the root before it festers into a stench of rumors like before. I haven't had a good week. I don't want things to ruin my time here in the forums like. I was pissed off about the mALX thing too. Very, very pissed. Because she is a gem of a member . . . one who isn't [censored] biased. Get my drift? See where I'm [censored] going with this?

I am 100% the moderators could IP ban someone. Is there a way to track the culprits IP address and check another member's IP? Because in the other forums they do IP bans to prevent people from using second profiles. Why don't they run a damn check, then? I have nothing to hide.

Sure, you've pointed out similarities. But there are plenty of things in that imposter's post that is nowhere near what I write. We had problems before, you and me, so don't sugar-coat what this is. Don't wiggle yourself into pointing out something and allowing it to grow into a huge [censored] fuss like you did before. I have avoided talking about the whole imposter fiasco because I did not want to give that individual the satisfaction.

But what I see happening is exactly what they apparently hoped for- to sow dissension and chaos in a small, caring community.

Who am I? I am nobody important- I get that. I do not think I hold the patent on wisdom or kindness or even good intentions. But I do care about this place and about the people who have chosen to call it home.

If I am "on" anyone's side, it is the side of the community as a whole, with all of us disappearing, reappearing, bickering, laughing, misunderstanding, misunderstood, and HUMAN members. It is past my bedtime, and even I am not sure what I am trying to say. I do not expect everyone here to like each other, agree with each other, or have long meaningful discussions with each other. But I would like to see us make the effort to rise above a truly nasty attempt to sabotage our little spot on the Web.

All of the above is directed towards no one in particular and everyone in general.

This whole thing stemmed from a misunderstanding.

Also, the first thing that we did when checking the impostor's identity was to check his/her IP address, which did not match any current member's IP.

Look, the reality of it is that anyone could have impersonated Malx who had checked the forums and seen people talking about her being missing. They then could have checked her posts for the general style and assimilated it as closely as possible.

We'll never know. Best thing to do is let it go and move on. It is difficult but as I said, the fact of it is that we'll never be sure.

Yet, there is one key point that exonerates suspicion completely: DE is a fan fiction writer. Despite having never seen him make a major or even minor grammatical error, he would have not made the simple mistake of the lower-case 'i''s in 'I' and 'I'm'.

It may not seem to be a major tell, but if you look closely, it is. Whomever M2 was, their English was piss-poor, and they misused her catch phrases as well. *If* it were DE, he would have done a much better job of impersonating her, and it would not make sense either if it were 'intentional' mispellings to throw someone off, because it would compromise the quality of the impersonation.

I have no right to say what I am about to say, but that doesn't make me wrong, however. We need to relax and let this go. We're all hurt, excited and scared and the human need to place a blame to our misfortunes is taking over.

Having been a victim of that myself here, I can tell you that road is a dark and twisted path to nowhere. When you blame something for your circumstances, you give it power over you. When you take the responsibility of moving forward, you take that power back.

Change the rules on what can control you, and you change the rules on what you can control.

I'm pretty certain we can rule out the possibility of it being any of the regulars here. Frankly, you all knew mALX too well to do such a poor impersonation, which leaves only myself and Vital.

Another thing worth noting is that MALX2's local time is an hour ahead of mALX. So the culprit used their own timezone, otherwise they would've checked mALX's to make certain it matched. And that timezone doesn't match me or Vital.

So it's nobody here.

Aye, I think we can all be perfectly confident it wasn't a regular member of the forums. This has caused a lot of grief for people and therefore it's understandable that many members are searching for an explanation.

Evidence aside, I just don't think any of the regular members around here would be likely to do anything like that.
