I prefer firewood. I guess that�s because we have an unlimited supply whereas coal we�d have to buy

Wood berns at 375, coal at 850. Anthracite coal burns for 6-8 hours at least, usually longer. Wood has to be constantly restoked.
Both get you/your hands dirty. Wood you have to fool with all day long, but coal only gets you dirty 2X per day and you can relax and forget it between times - put your shorts/bikini on and kick back in front of the cracked window, wave at the neighbors shoveling their sidewalk and freezing, ROFL !!

Both. Coal burns hot, heat rises, and our insulation (although there) wasn't exactly meeting the new standards of the day, lol. I think the year after it was put in the industry raised what was considered the acceptable level and it made my insulation obsolete. I didn't care, as long as I was warm, and the coal took care of that.

This weekend was freezing cold but nice. Mr. Grits and I went to see Wicked in the city next door yesterday. I had never seen it before. It�s such a great show! We went out for our traditional pizza and beer (at the stroke of noon since it was Sunday) first and walked through the very cool historic district on our way to the theater. It was an awesome day.

The vid looked fun with the clouds and light beams, but I barely saw any NPC's affected by it in that vid.
I've got a spell that strips all clothing off the NPC's and they run around like crazed naked chickens (outside) for a few minutes; then their clothes pop back on and they act like nothing happened.
They get affected but it�s hard to see with all the darkness, smoke and lights. Not to mention the camera rotates all the friggin time, but I do see the guards dance and I love it!
