It could’ve used some dismemberments from what I saw when I was watching some folks playing it, but overall it did look kinda fun.

Thanks to Channel Awesome's clipless review I have a bit of an understanding on Rise of Skywalker. Oh I still need to watch it but I'll probably wait for Blu-Ray. Honestly if Rise's only purpose was to backtrack or undo The Last Jedi what Disney should have done was yank TLJ from canon, fix it up and place some of the elements in Rise in it then release it this year, then next year release Rise of Skywalker with all the story and plot holes ironed out. I can't really blame J.J. Abrams for Rise as all of his plots and sets where wrapped up in TLJ (THANKS JOHNSON) but Disney and Abrams should have spent another year coming up with a better flushed out plot.

Well tbh, that would place it in the slasher/horror genre a bit...

I mean, we are talking about Star Wars. It will always be PG-13 at max.

And I like that in Star Wars. It just wouldn't be the same if when Vader cut off Luke's arm and it started spraying blood all over. This is Star Wars; we're not talking realism so much.

Say what? ANH has Obi slicing some dudes arm off! ESB has Luke’s hand being taken off! TPM has Darth Maul literally cut in half! Khajiit doesn’t think he needs to mention what happened to Anakin (on two separate occasions!). The outstanding games Jedi Knight: Outcast and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy has people getting all kinds of dismembered. You shouldn’t be able to swing for the fences with a lightsaber through somebody and all it does is simply kill them.


Khajiit has often wondered why there was so much blood in the Obi arm slicing scene in ANH. Wouldn’t a lightsaber (which one can only assume is intensely hot), cauterize the wound?

That's how I see it too; it closes up the wound immediately.

No, nothing gory. Just... separation. I think the aforementioned Jedi Knight games did a good job of making LS combat feel somewhat realistic without being too over the top.

A real lightsaber would flash heat all the moisture in a person's body and literally cause them to explode into a red mist. Likewise, it would instantly kill whoever was holding it the same way. It would be like standing next to the Sun.

So I suppose creative license is kind of necessary in this case.

My boy Darth Maul is back! Pretty excited!

I put the Star Wars soundtracks in my regular mp3 rotation. I never realized just how much the in-universe music is straight up Jazz. Love the bass in Cantina Band II. This could be playing at any Speakeasy run by Bugsy Seigel or grimy bar that Indiana Jones walked into.

Wrapped up the story for Jedi Fallen Order last night. Great game, which makes me feel dirty to say that, since it is an EA game. I'm going to head back and look for all the chests/secrets I didn't find along the way.

I just came across some pics of voice actor Stephen Stanton doing a Tarkin cosplay at a Star Wars event. He voices Tarkin in The Clone Wars and Rebels. Given how he looks IRL, I think they should have just used him in Rogue One, instead of trying to CGI Tarkin.

Speaking of Rogue One, he did the voice for Admiral Raddus.

Since I finished the Clone Wars, I am watching Revenge of the Sith. Early on, after the duel with Dooku, Palpatine says to leave Obi-Wan behind. Anakin refuses, and instead says "He shall share the same fate as us."

I laughed. Anakin was right. They all would die on a Death Star.
