adobo dry rub steak and homemade potato chips.

At least that's the plan for dinner. Gotta go and start chopping those taters!

Oh, and probably kale for salad. Need those greens!
Kiln
Peppermint Schnapps + Hot Cocoa mix served with ice. Tastes like a peppermint patty. Delicious.
Grits
Vegetables and rice, woo! Yay plants! smile.gif

Aaaand I may have had some coffee earlier. Perhaps one too many.

Kiln, I have never been a fan of cocoa but clearly I was missing the key ingredient! biggrin.gif

Yum! laugh.gif
Grits
Stir-fried Napa cabbage with ginger over brown rice.

and onions. I forgot to say onions.
ghastley
Doesn't stir-fried imply onions? It might even imply the ginger too.

It's like Cajun recipes start with a roux, onions, bell peppers and celery and then decide what they're making. You don't even look in the fridge to see what other ingredients you have until you get that far.

Grits
Good point. Or the ‘Holy Trinity’ of carrots, onions, and celery. You could be making a roast or soup and you still start with those three in a pan.

Came home from work this afternoon with a horrendous craving for German Potato Salad.

Had some sirloin steak already thawing.

So one guess what we had for dinner? wink.gif
Callidus Thorn
A bagel.

Just a plain bagel.
Acadian
A big salad, dressed with salsa and a nice dollop of five layer dip.

And iced tea with pretend sugar and a slice of lemon.

Yummm!

We make our strawberries with balsamic vinegar and black pepper. The only way to have 'em, IMHO. Served over angel food cake - the ultimate dessert - spring, summer and fall!
Grits
Yum! With balsamic vinegar and black pepper (but no cake) is a strawberry staple in the Grits household. Also over still-warm cornbread with milk for breakfast. biggrin.gif

Yesterday The Girl dipped some in chocolate. I had some in my spinach salad for today’s lunch. We take full advantage of the season!
ghastley
When I was still living in England I grew strawberries in my back yard. They were all propagated from runners of one parent plant, so they all fruited at the same time. My strawberry season was about a week long, usually when I went away for a vacation. sad.gif
Callidus Thorn
A bagel, with nutella smile.gif
McBadgere
Chicken, Garlic and Wine packet pasta cooked for an absurdly long time, washed down with a damned good cup 'o' PG...
Grits
green pepper and onion frittata
Grits
Fresh from the oven croissants that The Mother-In-Law had sent to us unbaked and frozen. From France. Ordered off the TV, most likely. She has the whole Pennsylvania Dutch thing going on and so has excellent taste in baked goods.

Normally the Grits freezer is reserved for ice and vodka, but henceforth I’ll keep a space free for a bag of these croissants!

SubRosa
Home made burritos with pan-fried flour tortillas.
Grits
Bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a Dr. Pepper. It’s not a health food kind of day. tongue.gif
