Our first special feature in the library section explores a topic that will have special relevance in Elder Scrolls: Oblivion - the Daedra Princes. These chaotic gods inhabit and rule the realm of Oblivion and though often considered evil all together by the uninitiated, are just as diverse a bunch as their more revered counterparts, the Aedra. While some of them may indeed plot the eradication of all life in the mortal realm, others are kind and caring. To allow you to make a judgement about them when you meet them in the game, we are introducing them to you, one by one, a new Daedra every week!

And just to keep things interesting, our resident 3D artist Darkwing has created all new images of the Daedra Princes!

Nocturnal, Daedric Prince of Night and Darkness

Most mysterious among the mysterious: We may know a bit about her, but can we ever hope to comprehend her? (added 2005-08-25, updated 2005-11-17)

Clavicus Vile, Daedric Prince of the Granting of Powers and Wishes

Nomen est Omen: this one is a vicious little bugger. Beware his gifts, for they are treacherous. (added 2005-07-19)

Namira, Daedric Prince of Ancient Darkness

This Daedra is not as well known as some of the others, but she's as creepy as they come. Her sphere is that of Ancient Darkness, which should be enough to scare you! (added 2005-07-07)

Molag Bal, God of Schemes, King of Rape, Lord of Troubles

This Daedra Prince is probably one of the most fearsome of the lot: his goal is to enslave mortal souls. Guess if you're looking for the most devil-like Daedra Prince, Molag Bal would be the first choice... (added 2005-06-14)

Mephala, Daedric Prince of Murder

Mephala is the definition of "bloodthirsty". Every murder in her name pleases her. Watch out, for the more important slaughtered, the greater her pleasure. Who knows if one of her followers won't be after you soon? (added 2005-05-11)

Sanguine, Daedric Prince of Depravity

Daedric Prince of Depravity, Debauchery and Hedonistic Revelry, Sanguine is quite a naughty one. Not much is known about him, but what is known about him can be found here, together with a great depiction of him by our resident artist, Darkwing. (added 2005-05-03)

Azura, Daedric Princess of Dusk and Dawn

Azura, the fair mistress of the night sky, is propably the most well known Daedric Princess among the TES fans. Check out this feature and you will learn that there's more to her than kind-heartedness... (added 2005-04-18, updated 2005-11-17)

Boethiah, Daedric Prince/ss of Deceit and Conspiracy

Boethiah, Daedric Prince of Bloodlust and Gore would also be a good title. He loves the suffering, the slaughtering of the innocent and guilty alike, the cruelty and brutality of war. And still, the Dunmer love him... or her. We don't really know about that bit.... (added 2005-04-11)

Vaernima, Daedric Princess of Dreams and Nightmares

This nice old lady is your worst nightmare. Literally. Her sphere is that of bad dreams and evil omens, and she's definitely someone you do not want to meet in a dark corner. So read up on her to be prepared. (added 2005-04-04)

Meridia, Daedric Princess of Life

We know next to nothing about this mysterious Princess, but we have all the information there is, and of course -as per usual- a great artist's impression of what she may look like by our resident 3D wizard Darkwing (added 2005-03-21, updated 2005-11-17)

Mehrunes Dagon, Daedric Prince of Destruction

In all likelyhood, you will meet this Prince in Oblivion ... and you should be very afraid... (added 2005-02-28)

Hircine, Daedric Prince of the Hunt

Our latest addition may or may not be familiar to you from the Morrowind expansion Bloodmoon. He's not evil, but dangerous nevertheless. Check him out. (added 2005-02-21)

Peryite, Daedric Prince of Pestilence

If the term "bad guy" has an entry in a Tamrielic dictionary, it might as well have Peryite's picture. One of the top 5 bad-owls! (added 2005-02-14)

Sheogorath, Daedric Prince of Madness

We're kicking off the Daedra feature with Sheogorath, daedric prince of madness. Check out this truely mad one, as there is a very good chance you may meet him in Oblivion! (added 2005-02-07)
