Deathclaw Head Power Armor!

Yep - robots from the dlc. Alice's mask, top, and sloth are from the Nuka World dlc, and the cat (and creature capturing) is from one of the smaller workshop dlc's. The power armour in these pics is from a mod called TES-51 Power Armor -Skyrim Inspired-

Heh, I can't get my head around the power armor's bulkiness. Love the beautiful forests though.

Once out of that power armor, I can see that Alice looks great!

All those dials on the HUD...what are all those for? Is that vanilla or mods?

I know that power armor mod. It's the Dragonborn Power Armor. Or something like that. I downloaded it last week! The helmet reminds me of the Atlas from Battletech.

There be dragons for certain! That must be the Glowing Sea. I have not gotten there yet with any of my characters.

Acadian - Thanks! She's not often out of power armour, but she likes to look her best whenever she is.

Renee - just the vanilla power armour HUD. From left to right the dials are for HP, radiation, suit power, and AP (used for sprinting and power attacks). It looks even cooler when you're in first person mode - really immersive.

Rosa - I love some of the power armour mods out there, and this one's one of my favourites. Bingo! The Glowing Sea is really cool, and the best place to hunt Deathclaws.

Renee: The funny thing is, sneaking still works the same as normal in powered armor!

I am not using any mods to change the character's voice. So far I am happy with it. The voice actress is really good, so it is nice to hear her voice.


Acadian: Elektra does need a bigger blade to use with the power armor. But there are not many options to choose from unfortunately. So she has not found anything yet. But I do not see her wearing the armor very often.


hazmick: I went with the flames mainly because it is red. I wanted to go with the Outcast paint scheme, but apparently the mod that adds it only made it available for the T-45 armor, and not the T-60 as well.

Lopov: That is no accident about Kremvh's Tooth. It is found in a makeshift temple deep within the depths of Dunwich Borers. It is a sacrificial blade used by a cult of your basic unspeakable Lovecraftian evil. Just like the Krivbe-whatever from FO3. Basically Bethesda continued that Lovecraftian thread into F4, which I thought was pretty neat.

Mirelurks did make it to Boston. In fact, they are probably more common than in FO3, as there are a lot more bodies of water in the Commonwealth. I prefer the look of the FO3 ones though.


Acadian: That is the most Protectrons I have ever been able to find in one place and activate. So far at least. It is always fun setting them loose, and seeing what kind of trouble they stir up.

That is a US captain's hat Elektra has, not the commie one. There is a coast guard hat in addition to those two. There are a lot of hats in this game in general. A lot more than in FO3.

The shadow dancing pic was kind of random actually. I just happened to look down and I noticed Elektra's shadow as she crept along the roof of that truck trailer. I liked how it looked, so I zoomed in on it and took a pic.

The new sword was fun to try, but its kind of evil, in a Stormbringer sort of way. So Elektra won't be putting it to any more use.


Renee: Who was the old lady at Willem's Wharf in FO3? She says her sons are out hunting 'lurks, because the meat doesn't squirm around in your guts like molerat does.

I was thinking that was Elektra's stunt double too!

Lopov: It was actually a mercenary group known as the Gunners who stole the deathclaw eggs. You find their remains in the Museum of Witchcraft. It made me think of Jurassic Park 3, where the Raptors are chasing the characters because one of them has stolen a raptor egg. So far I have done that the same way with Hecate and Elektra, and the MamaClaw has let them both go. I have never had the nerve to try to get too close to her however!


Acadian: Thankfully that is a synth in the hanging around pic. So no sign of Loviatar moving north to Boston, yet...

MamaClaw is a lot more scary than ManaGriz. I was going through a ravine in one area and came across a dead bear. Then a second dead bear. I was wondering what could kill two of those and decided to head back. That is when I saw the Deathclaw that had killed the bears. I gave it a wide berth, and came across two more dead bears in the process!

I think I figured out why Robbie had that big brown cloud around him. Legendary creatures (they have the word Legendary in their name) can mutate when they go under 50% health. It heals them up, gives them a damage bonus, and I think it might give them a random perk). That Robbie was a Legendary Protectron, so I think he mutated.

Jedi Elektra was taking on Darth Raidericus.


Lopov: I guess the bright side is that camper was not murdered by Raiders, or eaten by a giant mutant monster.

That was the same UFO that Elektra saw crash earlier. It took a long time for her to cross the map and get to the crash site.

I think that alien was a Zetan. The recon craft looked a lot like the one in FO3.

The Alien Blaster is pretty good. I think the Firelance did more damage, but I believe this one is about the same as the Captain's Blaster. One neat thing is that it is fully configurable at the weapon workbench, and you can even modify it to work off of standard energy ammo. So you can still use it after you run out of the alien ammo.


Renee: Beth did that with those bears. It is like the ones in the Teddy Bear factory in FO3, where they are drinking liquor, and one is going down on another...

hazmick: And that cow keeps getting stuck in that one building in Sanctuary Hills. I think there must be a spawn point inside it, because even after I use the console to get it unstuck, it ends up back there a few days later.

It is great to see a deathclaw side by side with a human. You really see how awesome they are in comparison.

Renee: Every game has its glitches, but I think Bethesda is the company most famous for their hilarity. Like Skyrim's flying horses, or dragons flying backward.

There is a unique flamethrower placed near a nest of giant mosquitos...

You know I just realized that the original Star Wars movies all end with a classic Lopov shot, of the main characters all lined up looking directly at the camera.


Lopov: I have no idea how that Brahmin got in the house. But it keeps getting itself in or on there!

That skeeter is a giant mutant mosquito, called a Bloodbug. There are also giant dragonflys, called Stingwings.

Deathclaws seem a lot more common than they were in Fallout 3. Maybe about the same as New Vegas. I would say they probably have the same stats. But like in New Vegas, you can get more powerful weapons and perks that improve your damage. So they are easier to deal with than in FO3. I think Elektra is doing about 200 points of damage with a regular hit with her sword, and if she sneak attacks it is 1,000. So she can one-shot a Deathclaw if she sneaks up on it.

The sexy man is Edward Deegan. He's actually one of the cooler guys in the game, and part of one of the neatest questlines.

Lopov: Some of the NPCs in the game take a lot of inspiration from old gangster movies, like a gang called The Triggermen. They all use Tommy Guns and wear suits. Benny missed his calling! But the Silver Shroud is actually a radio serial Pulp Fiction style hero. The same company that makes the Grognak comics made the radio serials (which are in the game).

The wooden ship is indeed the same Constitution as before, with Old Ironsides himself serving as her skipper. Elektra visited it in its new location, atop a taller skyscraper than before.

Acadian: The gangster stuff in Fallout 4 is cool.

Captain Ironsides of the U.S.S. Constitution gave Elektra a battlefield commission as Lieutenant. That is about as official as it can get 210 years after the Apocalypse!

hazmick: I picked up a Super Sledge from a mutant, and thought it would be perfect to use while in power armor. But even it looked small! Only the heavy weapons like miniguns looks good in comparison to the armor.


Acadian: Mr. Pebbles was an adorable surprise.

That Tyrolean Landesknecht sword was one of the biggest weapons I could find, and it still looks kind of like a toothpick when Elektra is wearing the power armor. She needs one of those fire hydrant clubs the Behemoths used in Fallout 3!


Renee: Lots more power armor that episode. The endgame against the Mechanist is a huge, grueling battle. I did it with Hecate without power armor, and it was extremely difficult. So this time Elektra suited up in her best suit of PA, and it made a world of difference.


Lopov: Everything is so small in those giant tin cans!

The Fatman is still the Fatman. With a high enough Gun Nut perk, you can even mod it into a MIRV Launcher.

It turns out it is a different Mechanist than the one in FO3. I thought that was clever, because this way no matter what you did in FO3, the FO4 Mechanist does not contradict it. Sadly, there is no AntAgonizer, not even any Anty mods. Come to think of it, there are no Ant creatures at all. All the bugs are mutated flies, mosquitoes, and dragonflies.

Ahh, yes, Swan!

On my first playthru I left him in the pond for almost 100 hours. On my second playthru a stupid Raider from the Combat Zone decided that he would run through the park and wake him up. Consequently every time I paid the place a visit he was up and looking for a fight and I had to sneak.

Great to see a close up pic of him in the water. Neat!

Where is that tea party meeting? I cannot remember if I have been there. The horsey with the bowler hat looks great!

That anchor seems like a fearsome weapon, but it'd be easy to get in there (as she looks to have done). Just don't get hit.

Elektra has been going toe to toe with Deathclaws and Mirelurk Queens for some time now. So she does not worry about Behemoths. The bigger they come, the harder she hits...


Lopov: I thought the drinking droid was a fun touch. He's basically a walking still.

Swan is a unique Behemoth. He uses a ship anchor for a club, and one of the swan boats from the pond for armor over one arm and shoulder.

The armored personnel carriers and tanks in the game would be fun to drive. Maybe someone will make a mod to do that. I just saw my first motorcycle mod yesterday, but have not tried it yet.


Acadian: Given her skills with the sword, this Faint Smiler is more like her namesake than our Teresa.

How come no one in Star Wars ever thought of a Liquor Droid!

There is a mod that allows you to use that anchor for a weapon. But it is about three times the size of a human, so even in power armor, it looks ridiculous to use.


Winter Wolf: Swan was fun, especially when he leaped up out of the pond. I did not see that coming!

I cannot remember where the Tea Party was. I have been exploring the south-east part of the map, so it is probably somewhere around Andrew Station or the General Atomics Factory.


Renee: One thing I like about the voiced protagonist is that it also comes with those cinematic shots like those close ups when you are talking to NPCs.

Swan never laid a finger on Elektra with that anchor. Thank goodness, else he'd have send her half way to China!
