Hey sweet! I remember Hecate. Especially because she looks sort of academic, with her glasses and pontificating persona. So what shall Hecate be doing in Boston?
Acadian
Welcome back to Hecate! That 'not amused' shot is perfectly named. tongue.gif
Lopov
Welcome back Hecate! Back in black and bringing some justice from Reilly's Rangers to Commonwealth.

Your screenies in front of the wall in the museum are sort of a tradition already.
Renee
Seondeok is a new name for me. She hasn't appeared in Fallout 3, not that I remember anyway. She looks like a lady I used to work with long ago. Similar hairstyle, mostly.

Whoa, that's a raider? laugh.gif

Intensity = don't mess with me. indifferent.gif

Constitution flies in the air. How silly! I need to get this game some day JUST to see what that's all about.

Acadian
Welcome to Seondeok. Is she related to the Queen of Silla?

Fun doo she's sporting!

A flying ship!
Lopov
Cool name, sounds slightly Indian to me.

Nice haircut too!

Not to mention the armor with the heart!

The ship didn't sail, I mean fly for long.

She's better off without that hat.
SubRosa
Renee: Seondeok was one of the RL Queens of Silla (a pre-Korean kingdom in Korea). I always like the name. I used a version of it in my last Aela fic Seven, where I had a villain named Sindeok.

Of course the Constitution can fly. Didn't all those old sailing ships? wink.gif

Acadian: She may not be related, but Seondeok is a great Queen regardless.

I have always loved that shaved side bob hair style.

Lopov: The heart logo on her armor is added by my combat armor mod, that allows you to customize it. It is the logo of Pickman.

Seondeok is Pickman's Model

Bro, do you even lift?

Downfall

Sugar Bombing Run

Posing

Lopov
I remember Pickman. And his knife! devilsad.gif Did Seondeok let him live?

That's one super cool sugar armor! laugh.gif goodjob.gif

That ghoul probably died because he didn't wear proper head protection.

Typical SR shot in front of the legendary museum painting.
Acadian
“Does this power armor make my butt look big? No. . . don’t answer that.”

The bigger they are, the harder they – you know.

I had a real chuckle over the work site safety comment.

That second set of power armor is really bright. It be da bomb.

Posing is a neat shot!

Oh my gosh this cracks me up! I have to get this game!

I always notice FO4 players here at Chorrol get to the power armor rather early it seems. How necessary is PA? Can my character get away without wearing any if he/she prefers lesser armor, or wants to remain stealthy?

If you follow the main quest, a suit of power armor is available at basically the beginning of the game. You can easily go without it (I practically never use it) and go with standard outfits or armor. PA is better with a build centered around it or if you need rad protection.

I tried out a new greenery mod...

...but it was too much

This is Jacob. He has his eyes set on joining the BoS

Mysterious skies...and no more greenery
SubRosa
Acadian: Seodeok was getting bombed in that armor.

Renee: Like Kane said, there is a full suit of power armor near where you start the game if you want it. I almost never wear it. So you do not need it at all. When you first get that full suit, there is a big boss critter, and it is handy to wear while you are fighting it. It is basically a vehicle, rather than attire like other clothing or armor. You can go into sneak mode while wearing it, so I guess you can sneak. I never really tried.

Kane: Wow, that is a lot of greenery. I have been using a Summer mod that also adds a lot more green back to the world.

That last pic is really spooky. It looks like Mordor on the horizon.
Kane
Yeah, I loved the vibe with that spooky sky. The greenery mod is called 'A Forest' if you want to check it out on the Nexus. Best part about it is that it doesn't break precombines.
Renee
Yes, that's is what I've heard about Power Armor--it's an actual machine compared to the PA we can get in earlier Fallouts.

Jacob looks very astute. Like a teacher or a political researcher or something . cool.gif Is his INT high?

Gosh darn I love that cluttered up street. I can see myself rolling a toon in this game for sure, and then exploring that spooky mess.

He's a soldier-turned-teacher, so his INT is modest at 6. Agility and Perception are his highest at 7 and 8, respectively.
Lopov
Interesting, I just wanted to say that he looks like a teacher, then I read that he actually is a teacher.
SubRosa
Not just cold water, but deep cold water. Nope, I am not swimming.

Atom's Glow really lights up the night.

Liberty Prime walks the earth again! The Communists are quaking in fear!

I love Elizabeth's freckles.
Acadian
'The Coast' is a really pretty shot. Well, you know, for a post apocalyptic wasteland. tongue.gif
SubRosa
Awww, the Vault Tec Salesman never made it. I always liked him. sad.gif

Cool evening sky in Cambridge.

That is a really neat view of the coast from the very northern edge of the map.

Neat pic on the way into Fah Hahbah.

Into the forest looks creepy in a very "Cabin in the Woods" style of horror.

I love her hair!

Gotta catch them all!

Neat bomb shelter home. Is that from the Basements and Bombshelters mod? (I forget the actual name of it)

I love the area, but I wish there was more to do. And that it wasn't so dangerous!

Yeah, Basement Living. It's a clone of the shelter in West Everett.
Renee
Ah, Far Harbor ... Fah Hahbah, I get it. laugh.gif I think I've asked this before but does anybody in Fo4 speak with New England accents? Nobody in Fallout 3 has a Maryland accent. mad.gif Which I've always found odd, since Bethesda is in Maryland.

There are some, but the most egregious is an NPC named Parker Quinn.
SubRosa
Alex is the Sole Survivor

I have never built a lair at Starlight. I thought about it once, but never really did anything with it. It is cool seeing you use a concrete checkpoint bunker for an above ground home, with the underground basement added for crafting.
Kane
Yeah, I'm quite excited about the combo of bunker and basement. Makes a perfect player home without it being huge. I also rarely use the drive-in, so this will be a bit different. Should be convenient for looting nearby though, since it's pretty close to Lexington and Corvega.
SubRosa
Cool! I do not think I have ever been in Diamond City on Christmas to see what the decorations are like. I have only seen it for Halloween once.
Renee
Faye looks just like this girl Sarah I used to work with (minus the meth-head pus scars). But she's awesome! Bleagh, is she eating flesh? blink.gif

Make sure to put her into the Character thread too.

SubRosa
Faye looks like she is practically a zombie herself. Gotta get that sweet, sweet meat!
Lopov
You two made me laugh! Renee says that she's incredible, then comes SubRosa and says that she looks like a zombie. laugh.gif

I created a Settlment at Wildwood Cemetery to use with Persephone. It turns one of the mausoleums into a small living space with all the crafting stations. And like all settlements you can built anything else you want.

I never posted it to the Nexus because I have never figured out how to add it to the list of player-owned settlements that you can dismiss companions to. That and the game always starts with the borders lit up in green. You have to click on the workshop once to get it to go back to normal. I have no idea why.

But I can put it on my Google Drive if you want.
Lopov
Yes, please send it over. I might not use it immediately or I might not use it for Faye's game at all but I have a feeling that it might be useful in the future. If it's not too large, you can send it directly to ziga05@gmail.com. Thanks!

Thanks, I just downloaded it.

In other news, I managed to set up an almost correct mod order for my favorite FO4 character - Vinnie "Slugger" Sinistra, whose game got lost after the disk crash a few years ago but I managed to rescue his save files. I did a short walk with him through Nuka-World to see if everything runs smoothly, so here are some pics, both old and new.

_____

As you may recall, Vinnie is a Cuban crime boss from before the War, who was put in a witness protection program only a few days prior to the holocaust. As such, there was a place for him reserved in the cryo pod in Vault 111, when the Great War began.

After waking up many years later, Vinnie realized that the world that he had used to live in, doesn't exist anymore. His estranged wife was laying dead in a nearby cryo pod, but he really didn't consider that as such a big loss. If Vinnie always excelled at one trait, it was the accommodation.

He took over the Nuka-World amusement park after betraying and killing all respective raider leaders. He liberated Nuka traders in a way that they no longer needed to wear slave collars, but he established his own empire instead. Traders were free to come and go as they pleased, as long as they paid Vinnie a hefty tribute of their income. On one hand they were afraid of him, on the other hand they respected him - they knew that if they won't cheat on him or step on his toes, Vinnie will leave them alone. Also, it wasn't easy to find a safe place in the crazy wasteland and since safety and peace were considered valuables, many traders were prepared to pay for them dearly, regardless of the cost and regardless of the fact, that it was the pre-war crime lord, that was in charge of their safety and consequently peace. In the end, all of them agreed, that living and working under Vinnie is way better than before, when raiders were in charge.

Tourists were attracted to Nuka World and Nuka Mercs were now patrolling the streets of the pre-war amusement park, taking care of order, albeit not in such a gruesome way as raiders before them.

Vinnie wakes up

Vinnie's climbing to the top

A few months later first tourists were attracted to Nuka-World

Nuka Mercs are patrolling the streets, dealing with problems

Big problems, however, are solved by the big boss himself...

...due to lack of wax after the War, Vinnie's hair is now slightly unkempt but he still likes to eat good and a lot, so it's no wonder that he gained a few pounds.

Merchants respect him...

...and fear him - Vinnie demonstrates his power by killing one of captive raiders in the Nuka market.

To keep in "shape", Vinnie departs every now and then on an adventure...
SubRosa
Just when I think I'm out, Vinnie pulls me back in!
Lopov
After all I decided to restore my Sole Survivor's game again. Last I saw him he was on the edge of the Glowing Sea, so I took him from a walk through this radioactive area and onward to Vault 95. In a good four-legged company of course.

Through the Glowing Sea

Acadian
Wow, Lopov'd with a pistol is a fabulous shot!
SubRosa
Some quality time spent at home mechanicing the power armor and the natural body. Then time to hit the road!
Acadian
When I saw the title 'hit the road', I was kind of envisioning using that motorcycle (with a side car for the dog of course). tongue.gif
Renee
Lopov!!! panic.gif

Wow, Faye is really emaciated. So that's a feature of the vanilla game, that we can make characters really, really thin (and I assume obese as well, thinking of Vinnie the Mobster).

Whoa, she's wearing Converse High Top (knock-offs)! I used to have a pair of those! Are we able to put different shoes/boots on characters in Fallout 4? Or are all the outfits one-piece like they were in FO3 / NV?

That pic of the guy's face *with Faye creeping up* is intense. indifferent.gif

Aww, poor Faye is depressed. sad.gif Poor girl.

I'll catch up to the rest later. Try to, anyway. whistling.gif

Lopov
@SubRosa - the Home Plate mod which was crucial to Logan's game was deleted from the Nexus, fortunately the mod author put in on Dropbox, hence a lot of work that we put into Home Plate, would be gone as well.

@Acadian - there are definitely some mods out there that enable motorcycle travel, seeing how such mods exist both for FO3 and FNV. Maybe in the future...

@Renee - you really have a lot of body options in FO4, from very thin to very fat, to muscular and anything in between.

Outfits are one-piece just like in previous games, there are some mods that add separate pieces, however.
