There is a skyshard in there (lure, lure). Also, if you are in the Mages Guild for Ebonheart = a quest.

Good to know! Though Mira isn't really a MG sort, lol

No, but they have an Awesome ultimate! A comet soars out of the sky onto your enemy's head - shakes the whole area's ground and stuns all the mob near the boss that got hit = AWESOME !!!

It really is, I love it!

Yeah, I like the comet ult. Takes a while to unlock it but it's worth it!
monkeyemoness
The Inner Sea Armature was a decent source of Dwemer Motifs in the Pact back when I was searching for them. Really big place, though, with no shortage of enemies to bother you (especially since 1T buffed everything...)

But yeah, the Comet ultimate is one of my favorites. Before Destruction Ultimates it was my main ult on Jo'zira.

Well hopefully it still is! We only have the Maces chapter and this one would like a few more for when Mira and/or Feng gets to a high enough level in their respective crafts.
TheCheshireKhajiit
Know what Khajiit is not liking? Treasure Maps! They are so vague! At least give us a named location to start at! Come on!

I had to look them up on the internet before I got the "Lost Treasures" add-on. Now a big red X shows up on my map anytime I get a Treasure Map or Survey = guides me right in, lol.

I get a purple quality motif almost every time I go in. The times I don't, I do get a blue quality motif (don't need any of them, but they do sell well).

TheCheshireKhajiit
This one does not mind hunting for them, as long as he has a general area to search. As it is now, the location on the treasure map could be anywhere in the region!
Acadian
After doing two or three of them long ago and giving them a poor grade, I simply destroy them to get them out of my inventory now. kvright.gif

They are numbered, you have to Google the Region and the number. Example: Stonefalls Treasure Map 3

My crew collects maps until Jerric is ready to go treasure hunting. There's something about traipsing all over the place in search of a specific spot that he loves. Also I totally cheat and look at the UESP map markers to narrow it down. Some of the dirt piles are not at all close to the drawing on the map. Plus they can be difficult to see at night.

Lol, I'm glad Jerric didn't decide that a map would be a good gift for Buffy! laugh.gif

Must be something about Nords and searching out minute bits of treasure in the middle of nowhere, lol. Misa likes it too - and I also hoard up the maps and Surveys till I have a bunch to do and then do them all in the same day.

IIRC there's a cooldown period to finding the motifs. When you find one, it's best to just move on unless you're also after the style material components. *sighs* I remember when it was the only motif split into chapters...

Anyways, in regards to maps, I just cheat and look at the UESP's ESO map for the locations. I used to give them to Rats because she has the CP perk that improves the quality of items in chests, but until recently it didn't really matter outside of Wrothgar. Also I got tired of keeping track who found the map and thus who deserved the gold found inside. On the subject of quality improvement, I'm going to start saving up the Craglorn maps for Rats to find later. Ra Gada motifs, yo.

BWAAHAA! Another reason I use the European style = all gold earned goes into one big pot where all share the benefits of the gold as needed. If one character needs something, the others all pull together to earn what is needed so the other has it; so it all works out in the end.

I know what it looks like when a player goes into their inventory (like rummaging in a pack). Same for going into the ESO+ craftibag (similar but a fancy pack with stuff hanging off it). What I didn't know was what a player was doing when I saw them kneeling in front of a small glowing chest on the ground. Turns out they are visiting the crown store. There is even an emote so you can see your character doing that action - /crownstore.

Hunh, I was wondering what they were doing with the chest!
So whenever we go into our inventory our character is actually digging through a pack in the game?
Acadian
Yes. Similarly, when a player is looking at their map, you can see them doing that as well with an unrolled parchment in front of them. smile.gif
TheCheshireKhajiit
Khajiit's characters must look like a bunch of spazzos to other players lol

We are constantly in and out of our inventory

TheCheshireKhajiit
So while on a Pact mission in Shadowfen, Khajiit and Mira are stuck in an Ayleid ruin. She is supposed to activate two switches on a higher level that will lower a barrier on a door being warded by a Dominion mage. The layout of the ruin is confusing though, and we can't for the life of us figure out how to get to the switches! verysad.gif
ghastley
Perhaps you're overlooking methods that weren't available in the last game you played? I keep forgetting I can levitate when I switch from Oblivion to Morrowind. wink.gif
Acadian
Here's what I'd try -
1. Ask for help in game (/zone) or even follow someone else on the quest to see the routing they use.
2. Wait for mALX to come by here. She knows an incredible amount of detail about all things Ebonheart Pact.

This was before i started the "motif fund." Now I just dump all gold found this way or from selling certain items into the bank so I can have a dedicated pool of gold to draw from for the motifs i don't feel like grinding for.

I also like my characters to have a certain amount of gold on hand at all times. I find it also lets me see how much use they're getting. Jo'zira doesn't have many "extracurriculars" so his gold count is low and he's still got plenty of supplies (but not enough to sell). He's starting to steal things again. :V

If it is the one I think it is, I had trouble finding the way up too - ended up climbing up on a pile of rubble past the ledge. Once up there I could clearly see where I should have come up; couldn't understand how I missed it.

As an aside, this one loves how we can explore Ayleid Ruins, Daedric Ruins, and Dwemer Ruins all in the same game!

Wow thanks for posting this mALX but Khajiit apparently was correct in guessing that he just didn't search all the areas enough because he found the switches fairly quickly. Which achievement are you missing? Some locations in Shadowfen are kind of in the middle of nowhere so it's easy to miss some.
TheCheshireKhajiit
As far as this one can tell, he did them all. Khajiit got all of the main achievements for Shadowfen except the one that gets him the dye color. Now, when Mira was sneaking around in the Hatching Pools, we took a quest from one of the keeper assistants to kill some elf who made himself an Argonian Egg Omlet. Well, after doing it apparently we were supposed to go immediately and turn in the assassination but we went in and finished what we were doing for the main keeper guy. When we went back to the assistant, she was no longer able to be told we killed the elf. This one is thinking that is why we didn't get the dye achievement.
TheCheshireKhajiit
After further inspection at the Hatching Pools, the assistant that I was supposed to turn the assassination into has a permanent floating icon over her head but the only options I have is to say "good bye." to her.

This one is thinking not, because it was an optional part of the main Hatching Pools quest.

Good luck, Khajiit. I hope you get it fixed.

Jerric completely screwed up the Shadowfen questline the first time due to the keystone business. This time I am going to read up and find out what the heck is supposed to be going on. Maybe they have straightened it out, but back when he started on PS4 if you got them out of order they didn't make a lot of sense.

Also, this is Jerric. He's not always listening to the questgiver as carefully as they expect.

Here is Haa-Rei's map of Shadowfen, just so you can double-check you've been everywhere.

If I remember correctly, you just need to discover some specific locations and clear all the delves in order to get the dye achievement.

Aaah I see, my mistake. Well if you've done all the listed quests and still don't have the dye you should contact Zenimax support. If you used the persuade option on the argonian that asks you to kill the dominion egg-eater guy then you should be able to carry on with the rest of the quest.

No prob mane. It's funny after reading about it, it sounds like Mira should not have been able to finish that quest without turning in the Assistant's assassination. We distinctly remember getting the update to go tell her sir elfy egg-slurper was dealt with but after she lit the last brasier it went right into the endgame for the Hatching Pools section.

Whenever you get 10 of them, you go to the Mages Guild Mystic Merchant and buy (for about 10,000 gold) some kind of resin that activates those 10 pieces and turns them into a random motif of glass armor. You then read the motif (and begin saving up for the next piece). My crafter Bubba has learned 3 pieces so far, and none have been repeats of stuff he already knows (so far). He has more than 10 pieces built up right now, but I'm really hesitant to spend the gold on it when housing is coming up.

Ew, glass doesn't even look that good in Khajiit's opinion. Definitely won't be spending the gold on that for the time being.

The only good thing that came from the Glass motif is that it pushed me to turn my mule Dravean into a crafter and eventually my Master Crafter.

The actual style is ugly and made Jo'zira look like...like some sort of lanky space cadet. He's still wearing it under his costume. :T
