Okay; we are about to get a pet again finally; anyone want to suggest a name for this kitten?

https://imgur.com/OAcfQuZ

We don't know if it is a boy or girl yet; so that makes it a bit tricky, lol.

If it's she, and lives up that threat, then Ma'Licious would be delighted to have a namesake.

I have looked and looked = can't tell to save my life if it is a girl or boy. The lady that gave it to me knows cats, and she couldn't tell either; lol. I have been saying "She," but I'm notoriously wrong about these things so that probably means it is a male, lol.

It is so cute with that splotch of orange on its head!

The woman had one of its siblings with her and it was three times the size of mine; so I am pretty positive I got the runt of the litter. Mine is very tiny and still walks a bit weakly (more like a 4 week old kitten) but it climbs like a ring-tailed lemur (so I'm not worried about it having any issues).

She/he is playful (with everything, not just the toys I bought it) but also likes cuddling. She has a good appetite; uses the litter box correctly (covers up her "tracks") but she cleans the litter from her feet after every step in there, it is really funny because she kind of tips over and falls when she lifts each foot to clean it, lol.

She is way too small to get out of the bathroom and have exploration privileges in the rest of the house yet; and she can actually climb OUT of the litter box but is too small to climb INTO it yet. She hasn't had any accidents though; because she meows repeatedly when she needs to be lifted into the litter box.

She is very vocal; but not actually loud about it. (my son's cat sounded like it was heralding the arrival of a king it was so loud, even as a kitten = it was hilarious!)

Okay, some new pics added to the first; the kitten is being held in these by my new teen "daughter," lol.

... The kitten still needs a name; and we still don't know its sex.

That is a good one, Steve liked it too because it is also his "son's" (former step grandson's) nickname. Chelsea nixed it; I think she was born too late to appreciate Tasmanian Devils, lol. We still haven't settled on anything; but Taz is still in the running.

I liked Boba Fett; but think it would have to be a boy for that. Chelsea likes Luna; but that would probably only work for a girl. We still can't tell the sex on this kitten; I swear it has to be some kind of anomaly. I held up the kitten in front of the pics on the internet and it didn't look like any of the males or females either one!!! If anything, I would say it looks like both male and female parts.

Now, it is true that I have notoriously bad eyesight; but in my defense = the woman we got it from didn't know either; and she has good eyesight and knows cats a lot better than I do, lol.

Aw, Thanks!!! It sure is both of those = cute and a wicked little fighter! It attacks our feet as we walk in the house, lol. It doesn't hurt; it more or less tickles; but with attitude, lol. It really needs a name, urgh. I can't take it to the Vet till June to have them tell me the sex of it. (if they can figure it out; I sure can't!)

Thank you so much! I don't know if you mean the kitten or my new teenage daughter; but I think both are, lol.

Next spring? This one is all but over; summer is starting up in a week or so! Urgh; can't wait a year to name it! Lol.

Well, if it's due for a checkup or anything soon in the future you can take it up with them then, I guess. Otherwise I don't know kvleft.gif

It looks like it might be turning into a girl; but I'd really like a second opinion on that; lol. I plan to take it to the Vet in June; hopefully they will be able to tell me. I was just teasing you about the spring season; our spring season is ending; lol.

I floated "Meow-Licious" but it didn't fly with the family; lol. She is most def a warrior; we all have wounded hands, arms, legs, and ankles to prove it, lol.

Then how about "Indy/Indie" (spelling to be decided later), short for Indeterminate?

It was good enough for that nice Mr Jones.

Ooh, now I love that name! I'll float it by the family! Thank you!!!

My new puppy! This is Cherokee, she is a 5 week old Blue Heeler in the pic. (7 weeks old now). The cat actually doesn't mind her so far!

This is Spritz, the fluffy little light of my life:

She was so named, because they'd called her "Squirt" at the shelter, and we all agreed that wasn't really a great name for a female cat. She's very fast, and I also wanted a name that wasn't too different; my son's partner came up with the name "Spritz," which was a nice fit. Had I not been trying to name her something similar, I would have called her Pippen.

The latest addition to my family! Name suggestions are welcome, he didn't have a name according to the farmer we got him from. Up till yesterday he has been running wild in with the farmer's cattle for over five years.

He neighs LOUDLY and A LOT! I think he misses his cow buddies; or maybe the mules that roamed wild with him. He is beautiful; and is already eating me out of house and home!

My youngest son's wife chose his name yesterday: "Cosmo." Not sure if that is short for Cosmopolitan because he is well traveled or if it is AKA: Cosmo Kramer from Seinfeld; lol. Either way, it was either "Cosmo" or "Navajo" (to go with our other Indian Nation named pets "Mohawk" and "Cherokee.")

Thank you both! He seems to like the name, he is coming when called by it (of course, he comes anyway if you even enter the yard just in case you are carrying food = he is a total chow hound and fat as a house, lol).

Greg picked up a horse at the auction Saturday; pics will follow. He can't think of a name either; lol.

They have both been a bit depressed since winter started here because it kept having flooding rains followed by freezing cold = deep mud, standing water, and then ice. But when this blizzard came it hardened the mud and put almost two feet of snow on top of it, and the horses LOVED it! They even rolled in it! It was so much fun to watch them enjoying it! Thank you, SubRosa!

Fun in the snow! Cosmo does look like he's enjoying it.

Thank you so much Khajiit and Macole!

Here is our latest addition bought last night: Harley is a Tennessee Walker mare who is currently in foal to a beautiful Palomino Tennessee Walker stud. She is beautifully gaited and very flashy when she isn't rolling in the mud, lol.

Here's Rosie, the newest member of the Grits family. She is four months old. Her favorite things are meeting people, eating sticks, big naps, my socks, and cheese. She tolerates car rides. Some day she hopes to catch and eat a bird. (Yikes.) In the meantime she is catching and eating as many pine cones as she can.

Rosie is a standard poodle. She has attempted to trick me in the following ways:

Stealth chewing her bed with a toy draped over her nose to hide it, all the while making guilty eye contact with me.

Smuggling a sweet gum ball into the house in her cheek to eat later which she had to drop in order to accept her post-walk treat, wide eyes at me as if she didn't look at it then I wouldn't see it sitting there.

Hiding my sock under her blanket, again presumably for later consumption. I was putting it on when she stole it.

Mr. Grits reports that she has figured out that she can reach the countertops. She's just waiting for something good enough up there to do it.

Acadian
Congrats! Standard poodles are very cool. smile.gif
