Very cute cat, Liz. My cat is extremely mellow, unfortunately though our German Shephard is jealous and chases her away whenever she tries to be friendly.

Oh, I love these pictures of Spots! Perhaps he’s decided that the TV stand is a stage, and he’s going to give you something better than TV to watch. He looks so huggable!

OMG! Spots reminds me so much of my own cats! My current one, Trinity, would hop up on the stand and get in front of the TV as if to say "Enough of the boob tube, feed me now."

He still maintains his fascination with the DVD player - loves to watch the tray come in and out and in and out . . .

This week I said goodbye to my kitty.

That's the only downside to most pets, their lifespans are too short. It never was an issue with hamsters and such but whenever higher thinking pets like dogs and cats died it always bugged me.

My condolences to you, KC! She was a beauty!

I'm with Kiln concerning the lifespan of our companion animals. Dogs and cats live just long enough for us to form strong bonds with them, it makes their inevitable passing that much harder. I lost my beloved Siberian two years ago to oral cancer; I still miss her every day. My remaining cat, Trinity (aka Demon Spawn of Satan ) will be ten this July, and I hate to think that our time together is more than half over. Already I am seeing signs of his personality mellowing.

Don't get me started on horses. Losing my mare after 18 years was difficult - she was my first horse and will always have a special place in my heart. I'll never forget her trademark "Who moi?" look whenever I went out into the pasture to bring her in.

So KC, may your fondest memories of your beloved kitty stay strong in your heart and soul, no matter how much time goes by. May remembering her bring a smile to your face and a familiar warmth to your heart.

So sorry to hear that, KC. I definitely know how hard it is to lose a dear 4X4 family member..

Thanks everyone. I miss her quite a bit. She had a lot of personality. I am away from home at the moment which is why I have taken so long, but I have learned that my mother has adopted a couple of kitties in my absence. I am looking forward to meeting them when I get back.

As our own cat died last year I know perfectly well what you mean. I love our new Smulan but I still miss Molle greatly. He was a fighter and he commanded lots of respect in the neighbourhood. If he was resting somewhere he didn´t even bother to move if a dog came along, he just lazily glared at him once

Best thing! The only thing that can take the edge of the sorrow of a lost pet is actually.....to get another one!

I nearly got crazy 4 years ago when my Dr Bolzmann had to be PTS....that was in July 2010, in September I got Indra my NFC, and that really helped....Even better a month later I got Bastian....but I still remember Dr Bolzmann.....he will never be forgotten

Haley


Both are about a year old, or so we're told by the adoption place. Henry is a very chill cat, happy to sit in your lap almost as soon as he meets you. Haley is a wild little thing. She's so tiny! It can be difficult to get her to sit still long enough for a photo. I have a hard time believing she's a year old because she's so small.

Aww, KC, they're both adorable! I know they can't replace your old cat, but some young fun and companionship is nice.

Henry is the king on his throne, and Haley is a comet! They both look absolutely adorable.

Hey, KC! Congrats on the new kitties! Both look adorable, Henry with his flame lynx points and Haley with the classic brown Tabby markings (actually she's a mackerel Tabby, but let's not get nitpicky). I'm not surprised that Henry is the lover boy and Haley is the wild one, it ties in with the colorings, at least based on what I saw in vet practice.

I know you still miss the old girl, but these two promise to make their own rooms in your hearts and fill your lives once again. I'm happy for you!

Umm, yeah, I HATE that annoying, screeching prat, too! Did Spots manage to knock off that guy's headdress? Hae Jin, wasn't that his name? Hard to believe he was related to Mishil, but I imagine he takes after his father more.
