Hello, I am Dan. I am a physics student at a university. I love to read (I have read every Clancy novel, not those spin offs). I also have a goofy cat that I have the honor and privilege of feeding twice a day (more if she had it her way).
I made an account on here so that I may encourage the writers of the fan fiction I enjoy (Acadian, mALX). I've put hundreds of hours into Oblivion for the Xbox and just bought it for the PC to take advantage of the mods available.

Hello all. I have been posting on another TES forum for several years now (not constantly, mind you). I recently decided to start a fan fic thread over there. I recently discovered this forum and it seems to be a better site for fan fiction. The other site's fan fic area seems more devoted to RP threads, rather than pure writing. I'm looking forward to getting enough posts here to start trying my pen in the fan fiction section of this forum.
About me - Just a late 40's guy that likes computer games, golf, and some beer with my football games. CHEERS!

WOO HOO, Thank you King Coin !!!! Welcome to Chorrol !!
PS: Just wait till your cat discovers that you can turn on a faucet and dribble water in a bathtub - and begins demanding you do it numerous times per day !!! Lol.
My cat will run in front of me as I head to the bathroom - (stopping short and tripping me the whole way) - like I have nothing better to do in there than dribble water in the tub for him. I think they need to design a line of cat drinking fountains that look like mini bathtubs and sinks with a pump that recycles water to dribble it out the faucet to them.

After many futile attempts to get my email address accepted, I may have arrived. That's if this post doesn't get rejected again!
I'm a modder, rather than a fiction writer, but those mods need stories, so I'll probably spend most of my time in the Fan Fiction threads.

Greetings! I guess I'm supposed to introduce myself.
I'm a writer who believes she is the reincarnation of Lady Syl, Duchess of Dementia. Obviously, I'm completely bonkers, but I'm really a lot of fun--just stay away from my bad side. Yeah, I wouldn't recommend going there. It's not pretty. Really. Just...take my advice--don't go there.

Welcome, Duchess of Dementia!
While you're here, why not check out Jacki Dice's tale of Wrothken Bear-Scar's journey through the fabled Isles you call home! Or perhaps the adventures of a Blond Bosmer Bowgirl, or maybe a Crimson-haired, faintly smiling elf... or maybe a simple tale of a Bosmer thrust into the folds of destiny much before he was truly ready... or an Amnesiac woodster who wants nothing more than to know where he came from.
Welcome to Chorrol Valenwood!

Oh yes, that's the main reason I came here--a friend from Bethesda's forums suggested I put my story here, as well, because there's more of an interest in fan fic here.

I am going at this a bit backwards I suppose since my initial appearance was made in Treydog's thread but I am still finding my way around the forum. I felt it only polite to attempt to introduce myself to the best of my ability and maintain a bit of the mystery as well.
Reality is I am a mother of 4 children that range in age from 9 to 25 (the result of being voted the least likely to ever have children in high school- hilarious) I also have 3 dogs that for the most part behave better than my 2 youngest children.
I was recently released from a very strong spell that had held me in a type of suspended animation for many years and find myself in a whole new world but a world that is none-the-less very familiar to me. A world very similar to the one I shared, a lifetime ago, with a tall, intelligent, blonde knight who's shield was my protection for many years and without which I would not be here to share the tale.

Also, Trey, it warms my heart to see that Scribe's Corner link in your signature. We have begun reviving the forum, if you'd like to stop by. One of my reasons for returning here, actually.

Hello. Hello. And hello. Its me, ureniashtram, under a new account. I made a new one because I forgot the email adress of the older one. Pffft. Unbelievable, yes, but here I am in the new flesh. At least in this new account, people can read my username quite clearly. I got called 'URINEashtram' by some of you that I will not name. Its not that I'm angry, but y'know. Being called peepee can have that depressing effect on you, huhu.
Well, there you go. Hello and Goodbye.

LOL! There's a story behind my former username, one that is ripe of sorrow, depression and oddly, pink colors. Hmm. Probably because I was in my bathrobe and wore pink slippers when I registered. *shrugs* Who knows?
And don't ever say that you are old or anything old-related! I mean, there's a saying in my family ( I like to think the whole Phillipines as well, but a boy can dream). It goes:
"When you get older, you get younger. Why? Because as an adult you learn things more deeply than any youngster. And if you experience happiness as an adult, you learn to savor it deeper than simple joy. And we all know that happiness has mysterious ways of making you younger ."
I translated it for you, and I hope that it comes across. There's also a saying that when you're young, you're old! ha! What a strange family I have..

My nephew is engaged to a charming Filipino girl, and we met her family a couple of months ago. Yikes! Our family isn't that big! It was a great time, though, and they were wonderfully warm and friendly.
I think I understand the saying. After all, the stuff I'm learning in my MBA courses make waaaay more sense now than they would have had I taken them right after college (without any life or work experience). And I always like to say: Laughter is the best medicine of all. Wise doctors understand the importance of patient morale more than anyone else. And laughter beats all else when it comes to keeping our spirits up.

Welcome TrueCaboose, just a note: If you tend to read with a beverage in hand I would also keep a roll of paper towels close as well. Some of the humor has a tendency to catch you off guard and well if you have just taken a sip... just letting you know there are dangers here, hehe.
