To the best of my recollection, my last personal-photo contribution here occurred back in 2015. That set's most recent image was taken 1998, prior to my near-half-year battle with pneumonia at century's turn, certainly nowhere near those health events occurring during 2008/9 that led to my adoption of the "Decrepit" moniker. No more recent photos of myself exist, aside from those few gracing various official IDs.
Until now . . .
I recently bought an el-cheapo digital camera. Its controls are cumbersome. I'm not yet comfortable with, or fully knowledgeable about, them. Despite that, I elected to attempt a few images of myself, shot with a bathroom wall as background and the camera attached to a tripod sitting atop the bathroom sink. Can't get more glamorous than that! Composition and skin tones aren't the best (
far too much red), but then neither is the subject matter. Still, it gives a reasonably accurate idea of what I look like these days (except I have legs and feet and a backside in real-life).
An item of non-interest: The blue undershirt I wear was bought at the same time as the gray undershirt seen in (link)
my 1988 photo (link). Being able to fit into those again is a recent phenomenon, a result of dietary changes and a steady exercise regimen.
Enough dilly-dally. Here it is: (link)
