(In the stories she's always been heavily freckled and also tattooed. I always thought she didn't look quite as I imagined her, until someone made a mod.
And now she does).

Introducing Serafíne Serrano, unarmored spellsword. For her that means One-Handed (sword), Alteration, Destruction, and Restoration. She likes to armor up and spray frost as she sprints in, then finish with her sword. It’s a pretty bold style considering I turned theRoadstroker’s Rogue Sorceress outfit into clothing instead of armor for her. There are still a lot of fights between her and the Mage Armor perks.

I doubt that Serafíne will get much play for a while, but I got an idea for a Volkihar ice queen and had to go for it while the image was fresh. She’s starting off as an Agent of Dibella (I know it’s just an ability but I’m making stuff up for her), so she’ll have to not only survive long enough for my plan to kick in but also cooperate when things go badly for her. We shall see.

I made her an Imperial because that is the most bland race to me, a mostly blank slate without even a good racial ability to steer the character. Also I made her look like my friend who we call Snow White.

Serafine looks very prim and proper. In fact, she reminds me of Katherine Hepburn in Rooster Cogburn!

I wonder if she comes from a rich family?

So this is is oakflesh/stoneflesh/etc. instead of physical armour, but using a sword as well as magic for offence?
Genevieve's been doing that recently to get experience in two-handed, and it's a real thrill until the armour spell expires. Then it's sheer panic!

I was thinking Serrano, lol. I chose her name for a hot/cold contrast. Plus I couldn’t resist naming a potential vampire ‘Burning One.’

ghastley the flesh spells are exactly what I’m talking about. I love that balancing act when you have to decide where to spend the dwindling magicka in the middle of combat. Offense, renewed defense, or future healing? Plus Serafíne has taken the Atronach blessing so that adds another element of unpredictability. It will be interesting to see what happens with Stamina. I don’t remember how it works in the higher levels without Windwalker. My previous unarmored swordspeople have died young.

No armor and a two-handed weapon is not as bad as it sounds. Once you master the fine art of keeping your opponents within reach of your weapon and staying out of reach of theirs, and learning to time your bashes to stagger them, you can go through most melee fights without ever being hit. The real trouble is from archers. I was going to say mages as well, but armor does not really help against them anyway.

Watch Persephone take on the bandits of Helgen. Of the first two bandits, only one hit her once, and that was just with a shield bash. Otherwise she completely controlled the fight. When she took out the Dark Brotherhood, the first guy she fought likewise never laid a glove on her thanks to her use of bashes at just the right moments.
