Almost missed mentioning that 01 Jul is the birthday of Olivia de Havilland, last surviving cast member of Gone With the Wind, in which she played a leading role. She was Errol Flynn's love interest in a string of films including that classic swashbuckler The Adventures of Robin Hood. She's now 102yrs.

Wow, she’s still ALIVE?? I loved her in The Adventures of Robin Hood - in fact, I have the uncut version on VHS. Or was it DVD? Yeah, DVD. Grew up watching her and Errol Flynn (another of my favs) on WGN Channel 9 back when it was still local. They would air it once a year on Saturday Matinees. I religiously watched it EVERY SINGLE YEAR until I started college. Then my brother taped it on VHS one year and gave it to me (along with a printed copy of one of the movie posters, back when collecting those were cool) for Christmas. Then MGM put out a 50th anniversary (or maybe it was 75th) version on DVD, with all the scenes that were cut to make it more family friendly for Saturday afternoon viewings, and it’s still one I treasure.

Mine is a 2-DVD set with one disc containing the "65th Anniversary Edition." I'm not quite as keen on TAoRH as I once was but still consider it a heck of a fun film to watch and a classic of its type. The Erich Korngold music score is an all time favorite.
