Yea, god knows. I put about $300 in the bank the other day and just yesterday I got a letter from the bank saying that I overdrew on my account and there charging me 27 extra dollars because of it..

That sucks.. I just bought a shirt... and some shorts.. and about $50 dollars a in gas.. then about $50 more dollars in food those two nights cause I went out to hooters to watch the Duke vs Carolina game (UNC 4tw!!!). Heh, it seems to add up..

Ah yes responsability. I just finished applying for an apartment which I should be able to move into in august.

and lots of thigns to do until then including working my butt of for the rest of the semester, over the summer. applying for scholarships (like I have the time for this)

ah yes. I am working full-time at teh coffeeshop now, not 40 hours. just 30, which is enough to push me from part-time to fulltime. but I enjoy the paychecks, which i don't spend,....often.

post-relationship depression rocks my world, and has for the past 3 weeks. that is why i haven't been around much. It's also why i have 3 pieces going right now, why I spent $200 on a pair of jeans, a shirt, and shoes. $80 on a haircut. and why i'm working 30 hours a week.

and this spring break at home has proven to be extremely bad. sigh. hating life right now.

Well, because of another family vacation (we've been having some lucky brakes lately) I will probably have to put Oblivion off for a while. It could be up to a month, so my time here will shorten and even skip days. I will un-bookmark the official Elder Scrolls site and go on a month long hiatus from their forums (actually, I'll probably completely leave those forums, as they have gone to hell). But rest assured, I'll get the game as fast as I can because its hard to get a new video card and save a few hundred up for a vacation.

Anyways, I'm going first to South Carolina staying at a beautiful resort right near a very un-populated beach. After about a week there, we are traveling to Washington D.C and staying at [pause for dramatic effect].......................... a suite in the Water Gate Hotel! We'll visit the Smithsonian, the Spy Museum and various other places us Canucks find interesting.

Poor you Kindred...but if I had to choose between those two jobs, I would take the supermarket, as I wash enough dishes at home..
*

Heh. I kinda like the idea of actually having an income, even if it means I'll have to pay for my own stuff. I'm good with money and all, but it's hard to coast on Christmas and birthday cash alone. Besides, I didn't mention the other reason I want to get a job...small family problems.

I don't like spending time with my mom. My parent's divorced a while ago, and I spend most of my time at my dad's house. Cook my own meals, wash my own laundry, etc... She doesn't like that because he works days, so she tries to get me to her house as much as possible. I go there for dinner once or twice a week, sometimes for other reasons, to keep her from going on the warpath. It's easy to make her forget what she's trying to do, she has a memory like a leaky colander; change the topic a few times and she forgets what she was saying. If I'm at a job, she won't be pestering me about that...or so she says. Been a while since what she tells me one day was still true the next, but I can hope. Every time she tells a story, it changes. Not like, "This fish was 'this big!." *next day* the fish was THIS BIG!" More like, the truth is she saw a minnow in the water. One day, her story will be the truth, "I saw a fish the other day." The next it would be, "I caught a trout the other day." Within a few weeks, her story will involve wrestling with sharks. It's like talking to a very smart four year old.

The other funny thing is the ideas she gets about me. Because she doesn't see me much, I guess she kinda tries to imagine how I spend my days. It's good for a few laughs, at least. For example, she once asked me if I'm into sado-masochism. I can't think of any drugs she hasn't asked me if I take, and she once asked me if she needs to buy me condoms. I told her no to all of the above. (I'm fifteen, I don't need condoms! And I don't have a job, I can't afford drugs! I guess there's no logical way she could know I wasn't into S&M, though) Also, she has this weird theory that I'm never here.... (sometimes I'm not, but I usually am)

I do still spend some time with her. I go there for an hour, maybe two, every now and then, maybe twice a week at most. I'll be there later today for her birthday, then again on Thursday for my brother's birthday. So it's not like I completely live on my own. Just close.

My family's not too bad. My parent's don't drink much and I don't get beat, which automatically makes it better than the families of some people I know. Still, I don't like spending much time with them, and getting a job will give me a rocksolid proof of where I am and a rocksolid excuse for why I'm not at her house.

Hmmm....maybe I can make some money off of her... Nevermind, probably a bad idea. happy.gif I won't get into the details, but it involves having her work as a government spy. her inability to remember the truth would be perfect if she got caught... biggrin.gif

More seriously, I don't spend enough time with her to care much. I might see her tomorrow for a few hour for a joint her/my brother burthday party, unless I make other plans. Probably won't make other plans, showing up will keep her off the warpath for a week or two. And that's all I can really do about it... She denies that she does it, every time I bring it up (and that's my primary gripe with her), so all I can do is spend most of my time away from her and see her every now and then to stall towards when I become old enough that I'm my own legal guardian and there isn't much she can do. (she doesn't have my college fund or any money, so she has no blackmail tools biggrin.gif)

Well I must say I am feeling quite elated at the moment, even though I have a terrible cold. I keep thinking that its only one more work week until OB is released. I just finished reformatting my computer and getting it back up and working! I can't tell you how much of a relief that is! I am always fearful when you hit that button to start the format. Lucky Americans? It may be coming out early here in North America, but the stress is unbearible! I have to save up for a top of the line video in less than nine days, save money for a Myrtle beach vacation in a few days, save for an enormous summer vacation, train for the handball team, start new guitar lessons, try to build a band, write a fan-fiction (new chapter coming soon, I promise), build a stronhold to fight off a zombie invasion and save the world! Aye aye aye!

Found out my computer overclocks in a few of Oblivion's tech departments and only need a better video card to play recomended. Also, I found out I overclock in Half-Life 2, so I'm going to buy another copy as my old one is broken. Go go ultra team over clock force!

Anyways, hope that cold goes away soon. Drink lots of O.J, tea and gingerale, eat lots of soup and vegatables and rest up! You need your strength to save Tamriel you do!

Thanks for all the get well wishes. I think they are helping. Unfortunately for me I can never miss work just for a cold. I have to just bear myself through it, so mine never seems to end before Mondays.

Just a guess here that part of the reason the forums might seem slow...
For me I know I am really avoiding going to the official site and such and I am actually avoiding the OB forum here too. There seem to be a flood of spoilers about the game since all these reviews are around. I personally don't want to read anything anymore that gives away the good stuff. I stayed up all night on AIM and reading player created WOD supplements... that mostly sucked I might add....

And I finished the Danse de Macabre... the storyline for the RPG.... It was fine... if not a little weak at the end. They catch up with Sarah Cobbler... but it's just so lackluster...

My record of insomnia is 47 hours smile.gif. It was at a LAN-party in the middle of the cold bitter winter and we had tons of fun games and movies to spend our time with. Besides if you got tired it was just to get out without a jacket and stay for a couple of minutes and you were clear wake at instance.. It was like -15 degrees (Celsius) outside smile.gif. It was quite an experience really, I got to learn my body (especially my brain) a lot more those days.

At first my sight began to fail for a couple of seconds, everything went black and then back to normal again. Then some twitching started to happening, mostly on my legs but some facial twitching was also apparent. Some hours later I found it hard to walk at instances since I calculated the distance between my feet and the floor wrong and kept stepping in the air.. At the last hours I found my motorics fail me, I was going to grab a glas of a table and I moved my arm towards it while I astonished watched as my arm moved the EXACT opposite way! It was like someone was controlling my arm who wasn't me.. I bet the intercommunication between the right and left brain-halve failed at that moment. I had to forcibly think very hard for my arm to start moving correctly again.. Very frightening. At that moment I actually come to thing that this could be damaging to my brain. So I went to sleep. biggrin.gif

I've stayed awake for many more times after that, but never as far as 47 hours, mostly it's 24-36 hours. And never again has my motorics failed me like that time, wich I'm glad of.....

Now, why would someone do that when it's so nice to sleep? Really, I don't know smile.gif, I guess I just don't like being controlled by some outer force called sleepiness tongue.gif.

Now I'm going to grab a cup of coffee since I'm getting sleepy.. smile.gif.
Sir Radont
I eat a lot of oranges and I rarely get sick. Also, I avoid taking drugs (whether prescribed or over-the-counter) whenever possible. IMO they do more damage than good, but that's just me being my natural self. Anyway, the point I'm trying to make in this post is if you want to grow an orange tree, you shouldn't take drugs.
Kindred Spirit
I get sick from time to time. Rarely with a cold, though. I go outside in the winter without a jacket and don't get a cold. I get literally one cold per year. It's just really bad and lasts me a week. biggrin.gif I mostly get pinkeye, and even that's only two or three times a year. Other than that, no illnesses for me.

I can go two days without sleep. I've gone at least 48 hours without sleeping at least twice. Once doesn't really count, though. The time we found out that I can't have Benedril... happy.gif But other than that, I've done 48+ hours with no sleep at least once. No seriously bad effects like the ones Bofra described. Just...eh...getting a bit tired...like to the point where my head starts jerking as I'm starting to fall asleep...and my eyes twitch...but no darkness. And I often do 24+ hours without sleep, that much doesn't really phase me much. And the nights I do sleep, I get like 2-6 hours. Of course...those hours of sleep are so deep it's like I'm in a coma...and I need half a pot of coffee some of those mornings... But eh, I'm still alive.

My sleep patterns are weird. My natural pattern is to go to sleep around ten in the morning, wake up sometime in teh afternoon, and then stay up till next morning, but with school and all, that doesn't work too well... So I sleep like that on the weekends, and I either sleep a few hours before or after school on weekdays. biggrin.gif

What the!? Here I am thinking I'm really cool being able to stay awake for 47 hours (that's four friggin days!) and you tell me you've done 48 hours several times, with NO weird misscalculations or motoric-failures...! Oh well.. guess I'll have to train that insomnia then biggrin.gif.

I too am a very healthy human being, get sick at most once per year, at most. And, Sir Radont, I totally second that opinion about drugs, I rarely to never take any. The human body is well equiped with a defencesystem to break down most (if not all) curable illnesses. Drugs mostly distrupt that system or does nothing at all smile.gif.

When I get sick, its either a tiny cold I ignore, or pretty much the plague. When its a cold, I go to school and have a cold for a month because I can soldier on. When its the plauge (aka a huge amount of vomiting, unable to move, alot of sleepiness and lose of motor skills) I miss school, but this has only happened about three times in my entire life.
jchamber
WOW, you guys sure haven't really had a reason to stay up then have you? I have stayed up for 60-78 (personal max=78) a few times and stay up for 48 hours prolly once a month. btw, one of you said that 48 hours is 4 days and ....unless your clock speed is different in your country..... it is two days.

Sorry if that brings you down but I am like a little kid...afraid I am missing out on stuff when i am asleep, I also look at sleep as wasted time that I need to get stuff done...like a goal on a game or reading books, or working on a school projecr...or dialogue of people around me in rl. I only get sick when I stay up longer than 50some hours. I was up from 5 a.m. thursday until 4 p.m. yesterday.... saturday....so that was about 59 hours...and I woke up sick and sore because I had fallen down some stairs at one point and had been carrying about 20 pounds of tea with me to a finals' test. I am all better now though I never, ever stay sick longer than a day, not in years and years anyway.

I played the game Black a few days ago, and was unimpressed. It was Project Snowblind (terrible game) with some physics and interaction. Conspiracy, I think. And yep, you're parents are part of a massive conspiracy also involving Elvis, aliens from outer space, Area 51, Microsoft, NASA, and Spongebob Squarepants, entirely devoted to making you go to sleep early. smile.gif Umm...*thinks of something that sounds more conspiracy-ish* Because...you are our only hope. Help us, Soulseeker Kenobi, you are our only hope. smile.gif And..um...if you go to sleep early, you...um..*yoda voice* connect to the force, you will not, if sleep if early you do. biggrin.gif laugh.gif

My parents have never really cared when I went to sleep. Or at least, my dad didn't/doesn't. His primary concern with my sleep habits is that I'm able to wake up in time to go to school. That's it. Because he has similar sleep patterns to me, we can both live on two hours of sleep a night. He's been like that since he was a kid, so he kinda knows that I'll live. Besides, what else is math class for? smile.gif My mom cares a bit more than him, but not too much. She figures that she can make me eat crow pie when I collapse from exhaustion while crossing the road during rush hour, so she leaves me alone about how and when I sleep. (and that is the reason she cares in the first place, it's a chance to prove me wrong biggrin.gif) Besides, there isn't too much she could do about it, we live in different houses. smile.gif So I tend to stay up "late" quite a bit, my usual sleep habit (when it's an option, like on weekends or vacations) is to stay up till the sun's in the sky, then sleep as long as I feel like, be it an hour or untill midnight.

@Channler- Well, think about it this way. Not sleeping is only dumb if you go beyond the level your body can handle. Yes, doing that (especially on purpose, especially on a regular basis) is stupid. But if your body can live on, say, six hours of sleep a night, then doing that isn't stupid. Your body needs sleep for two reasons. Energy, and to sort through the things that happen to you. Well, energy can be replenished in other ways, and some people's minds are just naturally better at sorting the things that occur in their life, and they don't need to sleep as much. And some people are just so busy they need to get more hours out of the day. Those hours can come from two places...something else that you are doing, or your sleeping time. As long as you don't cut too many hours out of it, then cutting back on getting too much sleep works pretty well. The key is moderation. (so yes, I'm an idiot, but some of these people here aren't biggrin.gif) Time spent sleeping can be put efficiently to other purposes...like wasting time doing absolutely nothing. smile.gif

Star wars fan? Whatever gave you that impression? The Yoda voice? "Be decieved by the dark side do not, come easy imitations do." Yep, I'm a Star Wars fan. I've seen all of the movies and read a lot of the books. (maybe most of them, I'm not sure) However, I know someone IRL who is a much bigger Star Wars fanatic than I am...he can quote all of the movies...verbatim....in the actors voices...including sound effects... One of my friends, it's a bit scary honestly. smile.gif He's a jock, and if you met him, you'd never guess...and his arms are as big around as my head...he could probably benchpress my whole family at the same time.

You're not the first to note that. It's become a running joke between myself and some of my friends. Like, if they forget something I've written (with the ammount I write, it happens a lot), I forgive them on the grounds that "they can't be expected to remember every novel they've read." biggrin.gif Lol.

I try not to post unless I have something to say, so a lot of my posts are long for that reason. I'm catching up on all the typing I've missed. Also, I just type fast, and with a reasonably high accuracy, so I don't need to spend too much time on my posts. And the funny stuff just comes out naturally...like it's trying to escape or something... *worries about one day when all the funniness gets out* biggrin.gif

There's nothing wrong with using smilies too much....unless you can no longer speak to normal people other than online, because you can't convey your emotions without them...at that point, it changes from smiley use to smiley abuse. And it's considered an addiction, and the government will make you go to rehab.

Then again, as a t-shirt saying I once saw put it, "Rehab is for quitters." smile.gif

I had to take the smiley's out because I quoted your post...

So, I need a new keyboard. My keyboard has this slider thing under the desk I roll out, and last night I was lighting things on fire in my room, and I look over and see the slider is in FLAMES. Chunks of plastic are dripping off like wax. The keyboard seemed fine at the time if only a little ashy but on further inspection my damned Delete key doesn't work so I can't do CTRL-ALT-DELETE anymore and save my boat.
Tellie
Thanks minkey....we will....here have a cake.gif made it myself...

That's why I only set things on fire outside. Just need to be careful to stay away from prying eyes. biggrin.gif

I've got extra keyboards, though...one that I actually use, three that are just sitting around, and one that I'm using as a doorstop...and that's not counting my dad's backups or his good keyboard... laugh.gif

@Tellie- I'll have cake, please and thank you very much. smile.gif

Mmmm, Fire.. Now that is so much stoopid fun its crazy...

Oh, and I never ment to call anyone dumb, I was just being a lil sarcastic if you get meh drift. evillol.sml.gif

Anyways, those Zboard keyboards are awesome... till you spill a tiny bit o' water on them.. then they give hell worse then da devil.

omg, I'm bored..

erg my b!@#$ of a teacher gave me an Egyptian project over spring break to do so this gives me lee time to play Oblivion. I think im gonna go get some gasoline go to my school and burn it down evillol.sml.gif
DoomedOne
heh, yeah I'm going to hope my dad doesn't notice until i get a new keyboard. And Kindred Spirit, I light things on fire... generally. used to just be something I did outside but then I got really into 'Jane and started lighting things on fire... anywhere. It was so random that my keyboard slighter lit on fire though.
Tellie
Oh....doomed why put things of fire.... nono.gif ...they...burn laugh.gif

But yes what can i say...i somehow managed to wreck my television...so now i cant watch anything sad.gif.

Oh...looks like this one will be closed soon
Kindred Spirit
@Channler- Sorry, didn't catch the sarcasm...maybe I should get a new baseball glove... biggrin.gif

@Tellie- That's the primary reason to set things on fire...because they burn. smile.gif Same goes for people, places, and animals. (especially people and animals, they taste good with gravy) laugh.gif

How'd you break your tv?

@Doomed- Eh. I can't burn things inside. My house is primarily made of wood, with some concrete and brick in there. But mostly wood. Have you ever heard the expression, "Men who live in glass houses should not throw rocks?" Well, the same goes for, "Men who live in wooden houses should not start fires." biggrin.gif

Your keyboard was obviously inferior. Natural selection at it's finest, see? Maybe your next keyboard will possess less undesirable traits and have a family of little keyboards. smile.gif
