Maybe they've put out a special format for people viewing on phones and tablets? Some websites do that nowadays, and seeing as it looks perfectly normal on Google Chrome, that's what I'm guessing they've done.

Not that. You don't notice the line around it and all of the new info? All the articles are like that(except the NPC ones)

We might get snow this weekend. Mr. Grits and The Girl are not pleased. They plan to make a snowman just so that they can kick it to pieces. After ripping its heart out, of course. There was a heart-ripping gesture that went along with their plan, but it wouldn’t render well in print. I guess they're ready for pool season.

Should have included GRITS, southern breakfast of champions.
Grits
laugh.gif And Mustard, you should also learn to use the Southernism “All a’ y’all.” That will stun them into silence! Um, which perhaps is not what you want in a RPG. tongue.gif

I did that with my Grey Mage character in a Shadowrun game, that I mentioned on a different topic. It was lots of fun.

It isn't nearly as fun when you hear it from people every day where you live.

For instance to me, Brits have a fun accent but southerners don't.

I live in the south part of the USA and get to hear people constantly mispronounce words all the time and it drives me nuts. Maybe it is just because I have a belief in clear speech?
Elisabeth Hollow
As someone with a southern accent (That's right, Kiln XD) I can say you're not missing too much.
Grits
I live in an area where several sub-regional accents collide. (There is no single Southern accent. tongue.gif) Some folks around here sound like they’re singing when they speak, while others sound like they’re holding their nose as they attempt to swallow peanut butter.

Also there’s a big difference between local flavor and ignorance. To me the important thing is what people are saying. smile.gif

Diamandis
I'm from a part of Britain where we all sound moderately 'posh'. We have the occasional 'cockney' moments come through though tongue.gif

Elisabeth Hollow
I try my damndest to hide my accent. It only REALLY comes out when I'm relaxed. It's not that I"m ashamed of my accent (funny in Texas, right?) I just find that people take you less seriously if you sound like you just came in from workin' on Pa's farm and are going to a hoe-down. XD

One is a British citizen living amongst colonials, and one learns to speak flaffly posh to the lesser folk when one needs to. Especially when I'm on the dog and bone to my colleagues in Texas, who can't understand what I'm saying. At least I don't need to wear a whistle to the office over here.
Kiln
I try hard to properly pronounce everything (Arkansas here) because as Liz noted, people take you more seriously. I work with a guy from New Orleans and it is a constant struggle to decrypt what he's saying about 90% of the time. Texas accents are often strong but can actually be understood.

It is a little known fact that the three wise men that visited the manger after the birth of Jesus of Nazareth were actually from East Tennessee, and were a part of Tennessee's Volunteer Fire Department.

That conclusion was drawn by their first words as they entered the manger: "We have come from afar," which (as everyone in East Tennessee knows) means "We have come from a fire."
