I just got my yellow fever shot. It's a live vaccine, so I'm convinced I have a fever, even though I obviously don't.

He did! I said "Hey Snuggles, what's this?" And I pointed to the computer, and he licked the screen. I go "Why would you do that?!" And he laughs at me.

Anytime you get any immunization, they are putting a minute bit of the viral compound into your bloodstream to make your body build up immunity to it. They don't put enough in you to make you catch the disease, just enough that your body can kill it quickly.

The tiny bit of virus they injected will cause you to run a fever for a day or so (depending on how strong your immune system is). Your body will create large quantities of white cells to attack the virus they put in you and kill it - that makes your white cell count higher than your red cell count temporarily in your blood, making you feel a little puny.

My son always gets very ill after any immunization sera, some people don't handle them well. Some of the immunizations are highly allergic to anyone allergic to metals - you might be, and that may be one of them that causes that reaction.

He really does. He just asked me to say something, and I go "I don't understand you. I have no idea what you're saying." and he says "Fantastico!" XD

I usually don't get sick when I get immunization vaccines, but I always end up getting convinced that I am, and I overreact.

I wouldn't have put so many pictures in the animation, but I have a weird problem where I can't stand odd numbers of things, so I put four pictures where people usually only have three. Haha

I'm hungry. I have work in an hour. And I'm terrified of the new manager. I think the DM wants to fill the workplace with giant, scary men like him so tiny nerdy girls like me will feel intimidated.

The problem with that is when I feel intimidated physically, I pretty much get angry and snappy XD so as long as I don't get yelled at, I'll be fine.

Okay, I updated my flashplayer, shockwave player, Adobe air and reader - still not seeing it animate. I wonder if my stupid Norton firewall/antivirus is interfering with it? Urk!

It's a gif, so if you're not seeing a blank space, something is weird. There's no Adobe software involved. All browsers support animated gif's natively without plugins. However, Internet Explorer has a setting to allow/suppress animations in webpages which might have it turned off.

So next week I try out for lifeguard classes to become a lifeguard. Getting paid $10 an hour to do nothing . . .but sit there and watch old people and kids swim and of course the occasional hottie!

But a friend told me I should do . . .ugh . . .webcam modeling . . .get much more money as a partime . . .

Don't think I should. Don't want my parents walking in the house and catch me on my modeling gigs.

If you want to do modeling, go to a legitimate modeling agency - not the webcam. Local department stores, companies, hospitals, doctors, car dealerships, etc - their advertising circulers/catalogs/and local TV ads are picked up through a legitimate agency locally. A good agency will make your portfolio at their expense with a contract, and you can take the lifeguard job as well - just take off for your modeling gigs.

I once worked for a tiny woman (I am an average sized woman) who told me to do the exit interview with a huge, scary-looking male employee. Really, the guy was sort of a giant. Which was great because he could lift the really heavy stuff to the top shelves, that is when he decided to show up for work. Thus the need for an exit interview.

So we sat down (I think, he was still very tall when seated) and I explained why we were having a discussion.

He said, “Exit interview… Am I being fired?”



Yeah, so I had to back up a little and fire him first. That was a surprise and not really my job, but in the end he was not as surprised as I was. Also he had always been sweet to me, which is probably why the manager told me to deal with him in the first place. She was always kind of a umbrella seller. To everyone.

Anyway I’ve been trying to remember the stories from my retail days, but most of them are more sad than funny. I might need twenty more years before I see the humor in them.

Lizzie was sent home for something they have talked to her about all season = seasoning, or lack thereof in her cooking. Bye Bye Lizzie. She has gone to the "Last Chance Kitchen" to cook off against Kristen (who I hope wins it).

Brooke is really charging ahead in the competition these last several episodes, and Sheldon is taking big risks trying to keep in the game.

Josh's wife went into labor.

I'm still PO'd that Kristen and Stephan are gone.

Luckily I ALWAYS get a gifts and cards on V-Day.... because it's my birthday, too haha. There's no doubt my boyfriend will take me out; most likely drinking. He tries to be romantic at times, but fails miserably; but at least he tries haha

No plans for v-day. I've never done anything for v-day that I can remember. I do have various adult things to do, lol. Like work. Okay, so not VARIOUS. Just work.

Haha, well working is cool Luckily I booked my birthday off work so I don't have to worry. I've never really been a big fan of v-day itself; mainly because i usually only celebrate it as my birthday haha.

I've always loved Valentine's day. I used to give Valentines to everyone. Then again, my b-day is in August lol.

I won't be giving anyone anything this year because money is a bit short.

Valentines Day is one of my favorite "special days" due to the CHOCOLATE candy in heart shaped boxes.

It’s Thursday, right? I’ll probably make a steak dinner for everyone and we’ll eat the chocolates that The Boy brings home for dessert. The girls in his class are all over-achievers, so he gets a lot of cute stuff for holidays.

Valentine’s Day is pretty much the last day I would consider going out. I think the last time we did was when Mr. Grits and I were first married. He took me to a nice restaurant. It was packed and noisy. We decided to return the earrings he got me so I could have a mechanic figure out why my car was leaking oil (we were broke), and that since we were both a sure thing we should skip dessert and just go home. It was a good decision.

Oh, definitely. And the heart-shaped chocolate in big crinkly bags. *crinkle crinkle*
