Jonacin picked up his daughter and gave her a kiss. He greeted the others and then truned back to Serene. "Do you want me to check outside to see if anyone is there?"

"Shutup! Just shutup!" The man shouted angrily at Kyara "I told you too stand there, I didn't tell you to talk."

En'Fel

"So that's everything then, we're off now?" En'Fel asked Anhasou.

"Yes, everything is packed."

"Let's leave now so we can get some headway before dawn breaks so the telvanni can't spot us."

"Aright I'll gather everybody up."

At this moment Sonnabu walked into the room, "En'Fel," she said.

"Yes?" En'Fel asked. Sonnabu then gave Anhasou an impatient look, and he left.

"En'Fel, I made the prophecy up."

"What? What do you mean you made it up?"

"There is no prophecy, I am only offering advice."

"What do you mean?" En'Fel asked.

"Find the Ashlander tribes, check up on them, tell them to send messengers, but they should not join us, not yet, it's not time yet."

"Why not?"

"At the current time the Ashlanders are not strong enough to fight any of the three houses. We have to wait for them to destroy each other, and then we can pick up the pieces."

"I just watched my friend die!" En'Fel shot back at her.

"En'Fel, patience, we will get our revenge, but be patient."

En'Fel's eyes opened it was a dream, just a recollection, he reminded himself. He stared at his five compatriots, who all slumbered.

"Come on," he said loudly, "It's been long enough, we need to get searching again." He tried uneasily to shake this last memory from his head.

Anthanes watched as the events unfolded. As soon as the man teleported out, Anthanes cast a quick spell. "He seems to have teleported somewhere in Vivec. I'll be back soon."

The Archbattlemage unsheathed Fearstruck, the ebony longsword he always carried with him and chanted.

"V'laash netharom, aelusham Vehk!"

The half-dunmer dissappeared in a swirl of magicka, reappearing just a small distance behind Kyara and her kidnapper. He crept closer to them, hoping he wasn't noticed yet.

A knock came on the door again, Megil sealed the hidden chamber and said "come in"

once again the mage came in,

"Sir we have a second report of teleportation into the same quadrant,"

this was a first.

"Dispatch the units and activate a shut down of the undercity in that quadrant."

magic whirred to life, crystals extending out their protective barrier. an impenetrable field soon surrounded and entire quadrant of the undercity.

the sylph watched silently from the murky waters.

a band of mages and ordinators entered the sewers and began to search for the miscreants.

Megil pointed to Daru once they were alone, and together they entered the hidden chambers, and into the vast maze of tunnels that made up the undercity. a hidden network, that only a few could navigate, to tehr rest it was a large maze.

Megil picked up his pace, and headed in the direction of the sealed quadrant.

Kyara

Kyara hung her head when she was spoken to in such a rude manners..she was by no means accustomed to be treated like that....Serene and Jonacin always were utterly nice and polite towards her....the treated her like one in the family. She sunk down to the floor, leaning against the wall, covering her face in her hands and tried not to cry.


Serene

"Oh" she said seeing Anthanes set off in a cloud of magicka, " Did he mention Vivec?, why would that assassin take Kyara to Vivec? What will he do to her? "


"If he hurts her I´ll kill him, no doubt"

20 or so ordinators rounded the corner and came upon two men and a young girl leaning against the wall, he face in her hands, oviously very afraid.

"Both of you step away from the girl," the officer said, the ordinators drawing their weapons.

one of the female mages in the group motioned to the girl.

"Come here dear, we will keep you safe and take you away from these horible men,"

she said with a small smile, patiently awaiting for th girl, who was no more than a child, to come to her.

As the boy walked away Kiln was relieved that he hadn't headed for the guard quarters. After a few moments of thinking about what had just happened he continued on to the nearest shop.

Could he have been...no way...too young...but maybe he...no...definately not.

Kiln entered the shop and bought several loaves of bread from the man, paying with Imperial gold septims "Looted from a Legion barracks" or so he said.

He left town and walked back towards his cavern, watching closely behind him to be sure he wasn't followed. He entered the cave, placed the bread on the table, and called for his men.

The men slowly ate the bread, seperating it fairly between themselves. As Kiln watched them eat he wondered how they had managed to retain their honor in these times of need. Why hadn't they given in to the houses and served them?

These legion soldiers must really believe in their duties to keep living in this hell hole... Kiln though as one soldier handed him a piece of bread

Everyone was eating now, slowly because deep down they knew that this may be their last meal if they were discovered, every meal was treated as if it could be their last.

Kiln's thoughts wandered to the main camps of legion troops, there should've been one nearby Ald Ruhn and he wondered why they hadn't sent news for some time, perhaps they had been hunted down by the house warriors like many of the other legion stragglers, or perhaps they just couldn't get anyone out of the camp easily.

After eating, Kiln decided to go to the ruins of Fort Moonmoth to look for any supplies that had survived. He walked to the fort which was some distance away from his cavern and entered through the old fort doors.

Anthanes smirked as he saw the ordinators.

"Hrm, good timing, gentlemen."

"What the hell are you smiling about," snapped the officer.

Weapons were held at the reasy

"drop all your weapons, and dont even try to do any magic, you are hereby under arrest by the City of New Vivec"

What little strength he had was returning. He was actually able to climb to his feet.

Ignoring the half-elf for the moment, he shuffled to a corner. Removing the board (provided by the smashed table mentioned earlier) revealed his sword, as well as the thin sliver chain draped about its handle.

He tucked the sword into the middle of his three sashes and clasped the chain around his neck. Feeling rejuvenated, he turned to the man watching him.

"I don't need your pity... half-breed."

"Actually, I was just about to insert this foot of fine ebony into the scumbagged one myself. I'd rather discuss this somewhere else, however. By the way, where are my manners? I am Anthanes Sedrathi, also known as the Archbattlemage. Perhaps you've heard of me?"

Anthanes was known far and wide as one of the most powerful mages on Morrowind and possibly the whole of Tamriel.

Kyara

Kyara looked up at the female mage.....then at Anthanes.....

"Oh Sera, I just want to go home" She now started crying, seeing that there was a good chance to be saved, the strength just ran out of her.

"But this man is a friend of my Mistress " she said pointing at Anthanes......

It was just as Anthanes began to speak, that megil emerged from a false door about 20 feet behind anthanes, no one saw him come out or the hear the doo shut behind him, dissapearing back into the walls of the sewers.

"Yes of course, we have heard of you Anthanes, but you still have no jurisdiction to teleport into or within this city" Megil said as he approached the scene, his boots resonating the on the cold wet stone.

"Does -he-, Megil?" , Anthanes said, smiling. "I was in pursuit of him. I don't tend to people abducting others in front of my nose, especially if they happen to be friends of my friends."

"No he does not, but I had my eye on him", megil said suggesting to the murky waters, assuming Anthanes would understand what he meant.

The platoon of ordinators, stood their ground awaiting order's

"Aprehend that man" he pointed to the mysterious figure, " the other two are free to go."

The man oviously caught by surprise, was till in shock, as he was slammed into the ground and cuffed in cuffs that prevented his use of Magicka. his weapon was confiscated. A silver band was placed around the man's temples, imprisoning the magic in the man's mind, that should he try and attempt using it, it would simply burn his mind with the trapped energy. The platoon of soldiers left with the man, leaving Megil, Darus, Anthanes, and the girl alone.

"So now that this has been sorted out, shall we go have some lunch?"

"Lunch?" Kyara looked up, where is the kitchen? I can prepare ......"

As always she was eager to please and this man who they called Megil seemed to be a man of great powers

Anthanes scratched his chin in thought. "Hrm... Well, I had some things to talk over with Serene and Jonacin... On the other hand, it's good to see you again... and I had some things to talk with you about, too. How have things been going in Vivec?"

Megil glanced at teh young girl, an authentic smile emerging from his lips, something rare these days as the burden of work, usually kept Megil in a stressful mode.

"Kitchen? why would you want to work in a kitchen, we will be going to eat out tonight,"

the false door opened up to reveal the maze of passages,

"Now stay close, don't want to get lost down here."

"Eat out?" Kyara looked at Megil quite astonished, "Don´t you have a house? Why would you want to eat out, it normally is better to be inside when eating"

"A very strange place this, and an very nice man, oh I wish Mistress Serene could meet this nice man"

Anthanes smirked. "Paranoid security measures, hmm...? Why am I not surprised." The half-dunmer followed Megil, glancing about with interest.

Megil let out a small laugh.

they traveled through the tunnels, emerging in Megil's office. he walked around his desk, past the lrge central area, and out the door. the other's following him. they walked through the 20ft double doors and left the Hall of Justice.

"This is why I prefer to eat outside" he said motioning his hand to the cty that was unfolding infront of them. beginning to glitter as torches were lit for the night, the coloured windows glowing softly from inside.

"Nice" , Anthanes remarked. "Mighty shame Ald'ruhn is still a collection of hollowed-out crab shells. A small one at that. Maybe I should've gone to live in Vivec...Anara'd most likely prefer that too, and..." The Archbattlemage trailed off.

Kyara let out a small yelp, seeing the view over Vivec..

"This must be the most beautiful city in Nirn" she said quite astonished

"Mister Megil are you the Emperor?"

Endris ducked below the window and cursed himslef. It seemed that a woman inside the manor had looked at the window. But if he left the position that he was in, he would certainly be seen in plain sight out of the window. He waited, listening carefully on the conversation, for doors opening and closing, and for footsteps. It was times like these that his sences were at their best.

Anthanes nodded seriously. "Yes, he is infact the emperor. And I'm Jagar Tharn, pleased to meet you."

Megil was happy, joyfully happy. apart from his bodyguards, Megil rarely had anycompany, unless it was meeting or someone from the office.

"No, no i'm not emperor, just very close to it." he jested, "So what's you name, and what are you doing with this old bone" he said hinting over at anthanes.

Anthanes rolled his eyes. "Megil, usually I only have to remind females that I am a happily married man."

Megil looked at Anthanes in surprise,

"Married? Well that's a pleasant surprise. When did this happen?"

"Hrm... Year or three now... You know, you could have shown up. I even sent you an invitation by cliffracer... Guess it got shot down. Why can't this province have any smaller birds available?"

"Well congratulations, as for smaller birds I don't know, hunters kill them all off everytime they try to live here. there's a few birds in this city, though they hardly leave the city and are protected. Part of the reconstruction project,"

"My name is Kyara, I am from the Ahemmusa tribe and i work for Mistress Serene and Master Jonacin as their Nanny.....oh the little girl they have..she is so beautiful"

Kyara clapped her hands and sighed by the thought of her "family"

"Serene and Jonacin, huh. Interesting, when did they ahve a child. I must say I'm a bit out of the times."

Megil said as he veered off to the finest restaurant in Vivec.

After a brief talk with the Maitre'D they were sat down.

"Hope you aren't in to big of a hurry, it will be a quick dinner."

the waiter came over,
"What may i get for you Sir,"

"We'd all like a round of the finest cyrodilyc brandy that you have"

"Yes sir," the waiter said, quickly leaving and returning with 4 crystal flutes of the fine drink

"To good health and prosperous lives" Megil toasted.

"Hrm...Same." The Archbattlemage gulped down the drink in a way that wasn't really appropriate for the decor.

Kyara who never had tasted alcoholic beverages coughed violently tears coming in her eyes,when she took a sip of the brandy

"Uhhh......this is very strong" she coughed.....can I have some water instead? she asked shyly"

"oh, yes forgot to check if you drank kyara, forgive me." Megil waved the waiter over.

"some water for the young girl please."
the waiter nodded and soon after brought kyara some water.

"So has there been a lot of house trouble in Ald'Rhun?"

Anthanes frowned. "The Legions have been culled. The few survivors are in hiding. I don't trust the new leader - none of these young House leaders. The country is collapsing into itself- it won't be long before swords will be crossed openly."

Kyara

"Well life in Ald´ruhn is calm now....for me at least, Master Jonacin is an important trainer for all warriors...and Mistress Serene has got a shop where she sells herbs and magical potions..also she enchants things...very nice.." Kyara giggled, "She made these shoes for me so I can fly to the market when I do the shopping every day"

Serene

"Jonacin" do not go out on your own, please, bring Sel with you, there is something foul and weird outside, maybe you should not go out at all"

She chanted a spell that formed an invisible shield around the house.....just in case..

Then she heard a short shriek from outside the window, like a human being getting hit by the magical shield.

She looked at the men in the room........."What was that?"

Somebody or something is out there wanting to hurt me....I just feel it.."

"yes I've heard about the legion's collapse. The houses have me over my head in paperwork, but it's necesary I can't have anything breaking out in Vivec."

he looked down at Kyara's shoes, "Oh yes those are pretty, Serene has always been good at enchanting things."

Megil wished he could go visit them in ald'rhun, but he couldn't leave the city as it was.

"you guys decided on what you would like to eat?"

Endris was just inside of the barrier when it was cast so it quite forcefully and very quickly forced him out of the barrier. He cursed himself under his breath for yelling and drew his katana, ready to strike at the invisible forcefield. But he thought better of it and sheathed his blade. Endris crouched and quietly but quickly left the premises of the Manor.

He sat against the wall outside of the Rat in the Pot keeping an eye on Morvayn(?) Manor. He searched through the various (a lot) pockets in his cloak searching for something useful. Anybody who he killed that had anything of value or use on them, he stole so he had collected an abundance of valuable items all of which he kept concealed under his cloak. Hanging on by a strap, he found an old steel crossbow. Endris had used it before and was not a half bad shot with it. Perhaps this will come in handy. A ranged assassination, maybe?

Endris stood up and entered a nearby alchemist shop.....

Jonacin put Lena down again. "You stay here with your mother while me and Sel go outside, ok?" Jonacinsaid to her. He looked over at Sel. "Coming?"

Stauros and Delfran left the building and headed tward the fort, and Stauros bent down everyso ofter and searched for footprints and continued walking. eventually they were at the front of the fort remains and sat down, "Hey Delfran, you haev anything other then liquer in that sack?"

"Umm es i've got some comberry juice" he said holding it up "you want some?"

"yeah I don't want to be drunk or sober for that matter when we get to the argonian."

"You guys better be careful out there" Serene took Lena in her arms, it was time for her supper. "I´m far too young to be a widow, you hear me Jonacin?"

"I hear you Serene. But i think i can handle whoever it is by myself". So saying, he left the house and went outside. He looked around the house, and found several footprints in the dusty soil, but there was no-one to be seen. He went back inside. "Whoever was there is gone now, but we should keep our eyes open for anyone suspicious"

Dead bodies littered the floor of a prison, blood spurting from them.

The hooded man stepped over a guard that was dying and reached down yanking him up by the collar. The hooded man had easily broken free, for not even such controlling means could keep him down when he had the help of the divines. Damn these people were stupid.

Without saying a word he grabbed the mans sword and stabbed it through him, then he sheathed it in his own sheath and continued on.

Stopping after a few steps. Why didn't he just teleport, where did he want to go now?

Oh yes . . .revenge was in order.

(OOC: He's really cruel. If I had been here not even a whole army of ordinators could take him down that easily. So uh, next time make him kill a bunch of 'em.)

Sel had been about to go out, but it seemed to be a useless gesture now; Jonacin had already taken care of it.

Sel seated himself again. "Seems that we'll be hanging out here for awhile, huh?"

He looked at Serene. "Now could you repeat all of those questions you asked me?" he asked, not remembering a one of them.

"oh..hmm well I don´t really remember either....so much happened lately, but I wonder about Celia.....are you married? do you have any children and please tell me about your life since we departed here 5 years ago..."

"Yes, Celia is married and she has a little daughter." Sel said, thinking to make a small joke. "Me, I just work for a freighter from Cyrodiil, but I do see Celia and her daughter from time to time."

"I'm stuck here because of the blockade. Makes it a bit diffficult to return."

Serene looked sternly at Sel.......with a penetrating gaze

"Somehow I think you are hiding something from me" she said in a neutral voice, "I know you two are married......I can see it by the way you move your body....trust me I am NOT reading your mind, even if I could.......very easy, but I´ve stopped doing that, my natural senses tell me what I want to know anyway"

"But I´m happy for you Sel.......and if you like I can get you back to Cyrodiil and Celia as fast as you say "bottle"---

"Thanks for ruining the surprise." Sel muttered sourly.

To the last statement, Sel shrugged. "I'll stay awhile longer; it hasn't been a week yet."

"And what's your name?" he asked Serene's little girl.
