mirocu- Aww, thanks for the kind words, my friend!
Lopov- Thanks! That invisibility picture is at Heartwood Mill west of Riften. If you cast a spell near a kid, they will often ask you to turn them invisible. If you pretend that you do so, they pretend to be invisible and go about trying to scare folks. The difference here is that Buffy has the console-added ‘Fade Other’ spell so she can actually do it. Actually doing so, however, has no bearing on how the encounter plays out.
Renee- Thank you for stopping by! In that first ‘sniper’ shot, she’s near the dead center of the pic – all you can see is the tiny candlelight spell she has over her head. If the pic doesn’t fill your screen, click on it make it bigger. Then you can click on it again to make it even bigger. Yes, the frenzy spell can really help clear a room as long as you can stay out of the fray.
SubRosa- Thank you! Yup, good sniper shots are hard to showcase via pics. I love the comments about Buffy and her blood kin sister! And that invisibility clip is very much like how the vanilla ‘make me invisible’ encounter plays out in vanilla! ‘Dances with
wolves Falmer’.
Grits- Thanks again for your always warm and encouraging support. Buffy certainly embraces the concept of a woman’s prerogative to change her mind.
Rihanae- Thanks for stopping by, and the kind words. We do run some ini tweaks that allow arrows to fly farther. And her bow is the slowest bow in the game at 0.5 speed; this makes it ‘fight’ more like the slow, cumbersome sniper weapon that it is supposed to be and puts her at distinct disadvantage in closer range ‘skirmishes’. That forces her to rely on magic when foes get in her face. We also discovered (and UESP verifies) that slower bows actually have a flatter trajectory which makes calculating a long range aim point a bit easier. Increasing the arrow speed and eliminating gravity can both make long shots easier, but we use neither of those tweaks as we find our current challenge just about right.
mALX- Aww, thank you, mALX! It is nice to know that Maxical and Buffy both share an affinity for ‘primal tribes’ like the Orc clans and the Skaal. I very much wish there were clans of dryads or spriggans that you could befriend. Ugor was talking about the new chief (in the shot behind them, sporting Volundrung). The arrow in flight shots rely on the tfc 1 command and luck as far as timing. Even then, it is sometimes thwarted if the game decide to take over with a kill cam. I have kind of a love/hate thing with the kill cams but have chosen not to disable them.
DE- There are certainly plenty of beautiful waterfalls! In the shot at the top of the tower, that is the body of a sniped bandit; Buffy’s on the ground waaay down below. I’m glad the ‘arrow in the butt’ shot was popular; I was lucky to catch it just right. Thank you!
Destri- How funny, your comment about Superian and Kistune staying well-clear of Buffy’s culinary experiment. And nice catch on the anachronism of aces in TES. Thank you!
ghastley- That was the original shot. That it happened to be a butt shot by chance instead of by planning drove the captioning. Thanks!

Announcement. Buffy and I have just launched a new book in the Chorrol’s main fanfic forum! Due to my limited ability to multifocus / multitask, I want to reduce the role that Buffy’s Potpourri thread has. My intent is that our fanfic efforts will go there of course. I plan to post future screenshots (when we have them) primarily in the Skyrim Screenshot Thread. That leaves this Potpourri thread mostly as a ‘social media’ type venue for well wishes, questions or even such things as the letters that Buffy and Lothran enjoy exchanging. Going forward, I will answer any posts we get here in a timely manner rather than the more traditional fanfic thread approach of delaying and consolidating replies until updating.
