Ian, agreeing
He stared first at Satyana, then at the bowl, then back again. Finally Ian nodded, "very well. I had no intention on feeding upon her anyway." He marched over to Satyana and left Rann and Issac's looks to his imagination.
As he began to draw her blood, Ian was certain that this action was an abusive use of the talant, but that was the vampire talking. He spat a bunch of the blood into the woman's bowl, feelingt quite awkward at the moment he said nothing.
Issac
He couldn't believe what Serene was letting the vampire do. We're supposed to save her life, but I guess thjis was the only way. Issac glared at the monster none the less, and continued even after he finished his orders.

Rann
As Serene approached, Rann backed away, not wanting to get in the way of people who actually knew what they were doing. He thought Satyana had whispered something as he backed away, but he couldn't be sure.
He sat silently to the side, watching the strange events unfold and wondering if the vampire would show himself for the sole purpose of finding a poison. The vampire proved to be quite altruistic as he did actually reveal himself to them.
His jaw dropped as it turned out to be Ian. He gave Issac a quizzical look, as if he needed confirmation of what his eyes were seeing.

Issac, realization
When Rann gave him a look, Issac studied the vampire more closely. He hadn't payed a great deal of attention to it aside from what it did, but that was a foolhardy on his part.
He was slightly taller than average, he moved in a tantalizingly familiar way, and..... Then it dawned on him, "Ian?" Issac managed to cough out the name, the vampire was exactly like Ian, except for a sense of weariness and internal chaos.
Ian
He gave a brief glance at Issac then immediately averted his eyes. This is going to change a lot of things...... "Issac," he replied somewhat ashamed.

Flogir was satisfied with the answers given from the mercenary. "I would perfer it if you would pick your sides wisely. Sure you might pick the Silhouette's side right now, but you're merely damning yourself. I think you're resortful enough to make it out of here alive," Flogir said and began to head towards to Flint but turned back around, he took out a sack of septims from his coinbelt and tossed it over to the mercenary, "Here's your payment, free your friend once we're out of here."
Flogir faced Flint once more. "Yes I would certainly like a hand in getting back up there."
Voltar, Arcane University Library
When Veric called out his name, Voltar came walking around the corner of a bookshelf, a heavy stack of books cradled in his arms. He closed his eyes briefly and the books disappeared. Opening his eyes, he gave Veric a bemused look.
"An adaptation of a recall spell that sets to my mark placed back home," he explained, brushing off the dust from his hands, "So yes, now I'm ready to get going."

Serene, performing "artistry"
She looked with satisfaction on the small amount of Satyanaīs blood in the bowl. The liquid was rather bright red even though it was artery-blood...., she almost knew what poison it was but had to just taste it to make sure. She was aware of how her actions may affect Rann and Issac...also the vampire didnīt look too happy about the whole thing, but she was certain it would all be forgotten as soon as Satyana was ok..and she would be...she was certain of it.
"Itīs a poison from a mushroom...I am sure it must be from Coprinus Atramentarium, same family as Violet Coprinus, but poisonous! So what we will do is give her extract from Violet Coprinus....then this extract will compete with the poisonous one in her blood cells and ...she will hopefully be cured..if it hasnīt gone too far of course!"
She looked at Rann and Issac..."Please get me some Violet Coprinus! It will grow here somewhere..but quickly please!"
She didnīt dare to mix the potion with any alcoholic beverages because the mushroomn-poison would react rather violently together with alcohol....So she took her water-bottle and rinsed the bowl then filled it up half...and waited for the young men to get her the mushrooms

"That's nifty," Veric mused at Voltar's spell, "Can it be used on other people as well?" he asked as they both teleported from their location in the Arcane University to where they had parted ways with Karn.
Only Karn was not present. He looked around, sensing the assassin's presence but also those of others from years ago. Veric felt a changing tide in his bones; a nuisance looking to impede his progress...
Soldin
"Uh, yeah. I'd know that plant," Soldion answered. He simply stood for a moment before he realized that he was probably expected to gather some.

Flint unleashed a blade of air into the nearest pack.
,,This is going to be a long day."
Green-Root, untied.
Green-Root got back onto his feet and felt the large gash on his snout.
,,They're quite an interesting bunch, aren't they? Very diverse in origin, having met each other only days ago. Yet already they show more potential than a battle-hardened band of Legionnaires who know each other through and through. Not to mention they show determination. Issac
Ian, a vampire? What's the world coming to? Normally someone would look for a scrap of the old person rather than what they were now. Well, there was plenty of Ian in this person; the vampire was also present.
It was shown in the new ways he moved; there was a hunger, but more than that was weariness partnered by great restlessness. It was like reuniting with an old friend after years of separation, but rather than years it had been days. And Ian was, is, my father......
Issac mirrored Ian when he looked away, neither was willing to risk breaking the ice that had suddenly formed. It's odd, I'm not angry at him; instead there's only surprise..... Few people would discribe personal betrayl like that. Is this even that?
Ian
The silence was hard to take, but the difficulty was an emotional illusion. The turmoil was real, but the influence it had on your mind was just a symptom. Issac appeared no more willing to break it than he was, so there was very little to do as the awkward silence stretched on.
The Sage, Hero Hill
As the troupe approached the area called Hero Hill, the mountains carried the battle cries of ogres, trolls, and plenty of other telltale signs of activity. The battlemages fanned out, slowly moving from cover to cover.
Though it was pragmatic, the sage couldn't help but find them somewhat silly trying to sneak about in heavy armor.
Many summoned bound armor to supplement their ebony pieces, most were carrying battle axes and long swords. She simply wore her red-silk robes and carried no weapons, for she could fight hand-to-hand. The group made their way through a cluster of boulders and hung back for the moment.
Turning to the leader she gave a "wait here" gesture, and cast invisibility before moving toward a cave on the opposite side of the battle.....

Voltar
Voltar thought about the question. "I suppose it would work on people. I have yet to test that theory though. In fact, I should test it out soon. Perhaps I can leave a mark, say over a cliff, and cast recall over an enemy. Though I can see a problem with that spell should the intended target decides to counter with a reflect spell," Voltar mused aloud, "Still, I'd think it would be effective."
With that, he followed Veric's cue and teleported himself to Karn's last known location. What he heard was the commotion of battle.
"Looks like we can have some fun here,Veric," Voltar said slyly.
Flogir
Flogir felt a little nauseous from the trip up out of the cave, but he got over it quickly. He turned to Flint. "I'll take care of the goblins and such, you help out the others with that blurry character."
Flogir skidding down the side of the mountain into a through of unsuspecting goblins, taking off the head of one and running through another with Iceshard before the mass knew what was going on. It wasn't long until frozen corpses of goblins surrounded him.
"Get going Flint! I'll be all right here!" he shouted.

Green-Root, relaxing. (This is probably the first time that a character is eating at his leasure while a big battle rages just outside. Or at least the first time while being aware of the battle.)
Green-Root shrugged and cut the rat into little pieces.
,,Rat meat is healthy for you. Gives you strong muscles. It's quite tasty as well. Oh well, more for me I guess." He snickered and shoved the first lump of flesh into his mouth, licking the sauce off his lips. The only disturbance to his pleasure was the burning wound on his snout and the sound of battle outside.

As one of the stood up and began to unsheath his sword, she waved her hand through the air empathetically.

She left them as they split up tp find better cover. There were two curious presences, magical prescences, away from the fighting.

She had come to really appreciate and like Soldin, he still was a mystery to her, but his actions had most certainly saved Satyanaīs life. Besides he seemed like a very sweet boy! Tastes awful, but it has the proper strenght, I think

I need that long-boat sleep I was suposed to get. I guess Satyana's safe enough now to get it, but I don't want to slow everyone down.

Ian, with Serene
He studied Serene for several moments, then muttered. "We are what we make ourselves to be...... and what our world is as well." Ian continued, "and vampirism was my choice, I will carry its burden."
His eyes misted over as he recalled several key events that had shaped him. His upbringing in a training house, the second-hand love his father had given him without being a physical influence in his life. The deaths of his fellow apprentices, the day that he and Karn had first crossed paths, and when he'd taken Issac from the corpses of his real parents......
With a respectful nod to Serene, Ian added. "You've also survived hardship, the world wouldn't be what it is if there wasn't hardship and suffering. It would be a lesser place, without true strength and courage....... Thank you for placing trust in me, it is a rare object these days."
Karn
As he continued to watch the battle, Karn took notice of that Breton as he flew through the air. Might as well take him out now and be done with it. Conscious of his missing blade he summoned a bound blade, not as deadly, but suitable for the task none the less.
Now armed, Karn leaped from his vantage point, sailing toward the Breton from above. His invisbility died down as he made it one meter to the breton, the Dunmer aimed a flying kick to the target's chest, intending to knock him out of the air.

The Sage,
"I don't use my name often; unless I can trust the listener's discression." She answered, like the Queen of Dawn and Dusk she enjoyed speaking riddles. If one could not figure it out then were they worth of such knowledge.
Veric"Then do not bother me with it. Names are useless. What is it you want? What caused this explosion? Because as you suggested it has gone up in smoke," Veric answered indifferently. He felt the sage was attempting to play him; Veric didn't like to be played.
SoldinSoldin, like Rann, also felt like a fifth--or rather sixth-- wheel. Naturally, he took kindly to Rann's attempt to make him feel welcome, or that's how Soldin saw his conversation making as anyway. "I found Satyana collapsed on the ground not seconds after Hero Hill... exploded. Then Ian just kinda appeared out of the brush." He shrugged.

The Sage, talking with Veric and Voltar
She wasn't very surprised that the instrament had been destroyed. After all few things could release so much energy and still exist afterward. The Breton appeared to be getting slightly annoyed with her questioning.
Too bad, I'm willing to wait a long time for the answers I want. She gave a thoughtful look, "do you have any knowledge of the leader of this army?" On a subtle cue she asked, "something of its power must certainly have your attention. Perhaps you want its power to be yours, or you wish to simply eliminate it as a threat?"
She was improvising, all these possibilities had only just revealed themselves. The Breton was motivated by some consuming purpose; the Altmer was harder to judge, he was simply a well of calculating indifference.
Two sailers drawn be a siren's call..... But what is the Siren's intent? The unimaginable power and influence they seek? Or a lure to a trap that could doom all of Tamriel?

Soldin
Soldin, like Rann, also felt like a fifth--or rather sixth-- wheel.
Rann"Well, that's good for us, I guess. I'd never have found those mushrooms alone." he said, not really knowing what to talk to a kid about.
"That bow you've got," he finally said, "Got a deer or two out of it yet?" he asked. It looked a bit inadequate to him, but maybe this boy had some surprises.

Veric
Changing his dispostion suddenly, Veric smiled, "You look to deeply into this. Whatever the leader around here is, I do not seek his power nor view him as a threat, I only seek fame."
Seemingly seeing into the sage's thoughts, Veric continued, "Do not think that we are being lured here to this presence. I doubt he even knows of our existence."
Soldin
Soldin grinned, "Enough deer, boar, and wolf to live off of for a few years. It's more than served it's purpose though, and it's getting quite old..."

Rann
Rann nodded in admiration, but couldn't help but think of what would happen if they encountered real danger and he was stuck with that bow. Sure it was good for deer, but what kind of damage would it do to one of Karn's clones, or the masses of monsters that were supposed to be in these mountains?
"Here," he said, taking his own bow and quivers off his shoulders, "Take this. I got it from...erm..." he stopped for a second, not wanting to reveal that he took it from one of the victims of his trade. "A traveling merchant. He said it was enchanted, but I never bothered to recharge it and figure out how. Maybe you'll get around to it sometime."

Flogir, in the midst of battle
With a horizontal slash, the orc finally collapsed to the ground, clutching at his severed throat. Flogir scanned his surroundings quickly and found that the immediate area was cleared of threats. He paused to wipe the sweat from his brow and as he looked up into the sky, he was Flint floating through it.
Maybe possessing teleknesis isn't such a bad thing... he pondered just as in the blink of his eye, a blur of motion appeared before Flint. Flogir had no time to warn the Breton, so instead he decided to bring himself closer to his companion's aid. Perhaps he would find a rock or something to throw at the airborn enemy.
Voltar, with Veric and the Sage
Voltar absent mindedly payed attention to the discussion going on between Veric and the stranger that appeared to be a mage or a sage of some sorts. At the mention of what caused the explosion of Hero Hill, Voltar's grip on the Staff of Worldly Demise tightened, but only briefly. His staff may not have the ability to blow up mountains, but its strength lied elsewhere, as it embuded the user's magic use substancially.
Voltar turned his attention more to the surroundings than anything else. His elven ears picked up the sound of battle. It seemed the direction was coming from the ruins of the Hill. Peering in the distance, Voltar thought he could see tiny specks within the sky. He quickly surmised that Karn would be one of those specks.
He leaned into Veric's ear. "I believe I've spotted our companion back nearby the Hill. I suggest we wrap this discussion up quickly. I'd also like to add that the stench of Mages Guild Magic encompasses the air; this lass is not alone."

Flint Ironwood, in the air.
Without warning, a form materialized right in front of the Breton. Flint dodged in mid-air on pure instinct. The foot that had been aimed for his chest brushed past his shoulder instead, quickening his descent. He landed on the nearest rock and cushioned the force of impact by crouching. Using the kinetic energy he'd stored in his legs, he made yet another superhuman leap into the sky, sending a blade of air at Karn for good measure.
,,Not bad, using invisibility to sneak up on me. But aerial combat is my specialty, not yours. Now get out of here while you have the chance." Flint warned. At the same time, he cursed his lack of one arm under his breath.
