Arezt ‘Arco’ Colerion
West Gate, Leyawiin

Arco approached the large gate with caution, stopping in front of the gate - next to the Five Riders stable. The large gate was slightly open with smoke and firing arising from the other side of the wall, the chapel inside was burning heavily.

What the...?

Arco was surprised althought he had experianced such before - attacks coming from thin air, leaving cities burning.

Arco walked up to the gate with his hands resting around his blade hilts as he checked the to guards by the gate, both had been literally slaughtered - large cuts, arrows in their back and bruises. They had nearly been stripped all down, leaving some bulcked armor and shields - rest was gone.

Ravagers...

Arco drew his two blades gently and walked into the burning town - both blade tips towards the ground but at the ready.

Satyana, looking at horsies

She had been polite to Jonathan´s father, nicely asking him if she could get a good horse, he told her to look around and pick one out. She really loved horses...always had. She made her choice at last, a dark gray mare who looked at her in a friendly way....she thought!

"So Mr Constantine, can I have this one?" she asked smiling

Serene , in the melting-pot

She followed Arco....getting potions and spells ready....if anyone had lived through this hell, he or she could usesome potions and healing!

Algren Constantine

"My dear, if my son sent you by all means, take her! And please, just Algren." He smiled and opened the screen door to his house. Inside he was busy cooking and what not. Some would think it work for servants but Algren was rather headstrong and he liked cooking.

"Please, please. Take a seat!" Algren began passing out bowls, plates and silverware. And within many a quick moment soups, breads and galore were on the table. "Eat, and be blessed"

Jonathan Constantine

Jonathan walked up the steps to his house, the one that he would possibly inherent from his father, and with a step of confidence he strode in the doorway.

Satyana, very pleased

"Oh Mr Constantine....erhh Algren....that smells delicious" She clapped her hands in joy....she realised how extremely hungry she was!

"Look guys...food! We need some fortification before we head on right?

She quickly went inside.....to see if she by any way could be of assistance

Issac

Realizing that he too was starving, Issac agreed to food. "Great, I'm in need of some nourishment!" But he didn't follow Satyana inside, becuse he didn't now how to cook a decent meal. So he sat down on the porch and went to work on repairing his swords.

Ian

Though not exactly pleased that they'd forgotten their horses, Ian didn't react overtly, but just sighed in tired way and settled down beside Issac, and restrang his bow. Might as well make as much use of this time as we can......

Flogir

Flogir eagerly followed Satyana inside, the scent of cooked food having an intoxing effect upon. Nords like food you know! He turned to Flint as he took a bite of bread.

"Well, I was just suggesting spending the night here. Like, if you believe it's urgent enough to get to Leyawiin as soon a possible, I'm up for it. I'd just rather have one night to sleep in a bed."

It had been awile since he had to perform without sufficient amounts of sleep due to stress and busyiness. The life of a merchant had been quite easy-going for him.

Sodsa Hekal - outside on the porch

Sodsa smiled at the thought of food but sat on the porch, resting his back against a post. "Could you guys call me.." Sodsa noticed a few people outside, "Us when its all ready, I can cook but it wouldn't be to good, trust me." He laid his head back on the post and sighed. Looking around, Sodsa noticed Issac repairing his swords and noticed he couldn't remember the last time he'd fixed his daggers up. Sodsa first grabbed for his most prized dagger, one that he 'received' from a bandit. Pulling the ebony blade from his boot, Sodsa took his pack from his back and placed both in front of him.

After a minute of looking, Sodsa got his sharpening stone (yeah i know it's suppose to be a hammer tongue.gif) and started sharpening the blade to its former glory of days past.

Sadril

Sadril entered Chorrol quietly and looked around at the town which still remained peaceful. Not for long. The repercussions of the assassination in the Imperial CIty will soon reach here. Sadril didn't have the faintest idea of where to start looking for Rahvin, or even if Rann's information was even trustworthy.

Deciding it was his best lead, Sadril trusted Rann's word and tried the local tavern first. If Rahvin wasn't in there, he'd ask around a bit...

Ian, showing his stuff

After a few minutes of attaching and reatteching his bowstring, ian was satisfied by its strength. He pulled a couple of arrows out of his quiver, and got up. He noticed the many empty bottles littering the ground and scooped one up.

Setting it on a fallen tree trunk, he strode back to the porch. Ian turned and nocked the first arrow, drawing it back to its limit, and making some adjustments with his aim. One had to take into acount the wind and of course, the distance the arrow would travel.

He peered intently at the bottle and let the projectile fly. The arrow soared and smaked into the bottle knocking it from its perched, direct hit from several meters. I guess I still have enough left in me to be a great archer still......

Sadril

Sadril stepped into Lokken Tavern and looked around. He tried to keep a low profile, something made slightly easier by the loss of his dark cloak which usually made him a suspicious character.

There. He spotted his target, Rahvin, sitting with a woman Sadril recognized as .. Anna? Birnana? Brianna? He couldn't remember the name, but he never forgot a face.

He strode coolly over to where Rahvin was seated and sat in a chair directly behind the Dunmer; leaned back to get a little closer and said, "Long time, no see... Rahvin."

Rahvin

"Well if it isn't my second favorite body to inhabit." he greeted. "You remember Brianna, Sadril. You may or may not remember Sadril, Brianna." he said for a lousy introduction.

"So what brings you here?"

Rann

Rann saw Ian's shot an walked over to pick up the bottle. It was terribly cracked, but miraculously intact.

"Nice shot." he complimented, placing the bottle on the stump again. "Try this." he said, sticking one of his arrows inside the bottle so that the tip was sticking far out.

"Think you can shoot the arrowhead off from there?" he asked, his voice hinting at competition. He had never tried this himself, having just come up with the idea, but it seemed fun and he figured he could win.

"Second favorite?!" he replied sarcastically, quickly swing himself around in his chair so he was sitting in it backwards and bringing it closer to Rahvin's table. "What's that supposed to mean?" he retorted, a wide grin on his face. Sadril didn't have many people he'd truly call his friends, Rahvin may have been one of the few.

He nodded to Brianna, seeming to recall that the most Sadril had gotten to know her was scaring her to death in some cave shortly after Jadier's murder. "I actually bare grim news... Do you happen to know who is behind the disturbance in the East?" He asked, making it seem as if the question was relavent to the 'grim news' he was about to discuss.

Rahvin

It was confidential information according to the countess, but it wasn't as if he paid her much attention anyway, so he decided to bite.

"No, I don't, but my son went with some others to find out." he answered. "Why? I assume that your news pertains to this?"

Sadril

"It very well could," Sadril answered, knowing full well that it didn't. He leaned in close and said in almost a whisper, "My sources have told me that Veric has returned. It was by pure coincidence that I ran into Flint in the Imperial City. From there I learned that two of the children of Brianna," nodding to Brianna, as if Rahvin didn't know what was going on, "and your children too?" he asked with raised eyebros, still a little confused on that matter, "Were travelling with him. Or he with them, whichever.

"I figured since Veric tried to kill them in the past he would seek them out now, so I figured it would be best to let you know. I also thought my best bet of finding Brianna would be with you, wouldn't want to leave her in the dark about the fate of her own children." He was about to ask about the other child, the one he had yet to meet, but held it in for a momoent, not wanting to appear overeager.

Ian, getting philisophical

Ian shrugged, "Thanks, if you think about it, Rann." He lit a hackle-lo, from his bag. "The entire world is one big arena, and every creature, no matter how docile, is competing one way or another. Animals compete for food, water, survival, and a whole host of other reasons......."

Ian took a large whiff "We sentients on the other hand, compete for rather...... less practical reasons." He paused for emphasis. "Money, heirarchy, amusement, in away it makes us all arrogant, and that is a major factor in corruption."

The Imperial took a final puff of the burning hackle-lo. "Sure, but there are things that are beyond our reach in life; knocking off an arrowhead is not one of those things. It will be a friendly competition between two archers."

Issac

Watching his father's exchange with Rann with interest, Issac set down his katana and sat on his knees. After years of living with him, Issac knew that Ian was also trying to tell Rann something underneath all his words.
He couldn't tell if he was trying to dissuade Rann on his ideas of large-scale change, or just imparting some healthy wisdom and insight. In the agent's line of work, change was made by subtle actions, politicians stood in front of large crowds telling them biased versions of the truth to sway the public's opinion. At least not Ocato, or Uriel Septim..... He mused.

He fired and missed, interrupting his reply with a curse. "Anyway, the way I see it, those people are just as bad."

"And who would your sources be?" he asked, knowing full well Sadril's tendency to try straddling the fence between opposing sides. He also knew enough to guess that there were quite a few half-truths in there, if not outright lies.

Sodsa Hekal - Watching and conversing

Sodsa saw Rann and Ian having their competition. After putting his daggers back away, he meandered over with his bow over his shoulder. "Hmm, a bit philosophical for a simple competition?" Sodsa smiled and looked at what they were aiming at, seeing the arrow tip almost cut off.

"Care if i watch? If anything i can bribe you with some brandy." Sodsa pulled his hand out of his cloak, revealing three bottles of brandy. "Courtesy of the Imperial City."

"Certainly, but I don't want any of that." Issac replied to Sodsa, pointing at the three bottles. "Ian and I tend not to drink alcahol, just as a custom among agents." Then Issac added. "I'm not really an archer, if anything isn't within reach of my katana then I like to hit whatever it is with spells. So, I don't think I'll get involved with this."

He plucked another hackle-lo absent-mindedly and allowed himself to indulge himself in the sweet odor of the blessed leaf.

Sadril

"The shadows, of course," Sadril replied matter-of-factly, "Their eyes watch ceaselessly." The way he worded his reply made it unsure whether 'The Shadows' were people working for Sadril, or actual shadows. Regardless, it was obvious he was avoiding that topic.

"Not that my source matters," he lowered his voice even more, "What matters is the fact the Ocato was murdered hours ago, there is some sort of force building in the east and Leyawiin has reportedly been burned to the ground. All this coincides with my report of Veric's return," at this point Sadril surprised himself at the amount of information he collected and smiled inwardly.

"The empire has begun crumbling right under our noses and in only a few hours at that. Veric showed such an interest in the children's life before they were born, he even spoke of some prophecy. Now I worry for their lives as well as the fate of the Empire."

"Ha ha I see. More for me longer i guess." Sodsa touched his bow. "I like to consider myself an archer, or sorts. helps one to stay alive." Sodsa turned to Rann, "Would you like one?" putting one of the three away and offering one toward Rann.

"Another arrow?" he asked, wondering if Ian wanted to continue their little game until someone came out on top.

Sodsa then offered him a drink, but he waved it away. "Maybe after this."

Rahvin

"So your shadows say that Veric is back. What's your suggestion as far as actions go?" he asked, wondering what Sadril was geting at. "Are Rann and Satyana the only ones?" Sadril asked finally, not letting on that he knew about a third descendant.

Jonathan Constantine

Jonathan stood by the door a second, if only to let his eyes adjust the light levels of the house. It was just as he remembered it, quiet, quaint, boring, but then again thats why he took up his current career, for a little bit of action possibly? His father was busy stirring something in a pot, and Jonathan stood, waiting for him to turn around. However when it became apparent that Algren was quite dedicated to his current task Jonathan sped the situation.

"Ahem.." No response. "Bah, I knew the old honoured user was hard of hearing.." He tried again.. "AHEM." Slowly the old man turned, and with a look only a parent could muster gazed upon his son.

"Jonathan my boy, you.. you've grown." Algren fought to find the right words to say, after all he was never great at the whole parenting thing. "Err.. I mean you've always been grown.. Or.. Bah, never mind!" To Jonathan's discomfort Algren gave him a parental hug, that showed of care and longing, his voice dropped a few decibels. "I'm sorry for not..." Jonathan cut him off.

"You've played that story before father, tis enough. Mothers death wasn't your fault and theres no need to blame yourself any further." Jonathan patted him on the shoulder and grabbed a bowl of soup, "By the way your cooking is still lousy.." He jabbed playfully.

Altec the Wanderer

He couldn't find it, that damnable trinket. It was a carbon copy to the one he wore around his neck but he couldn't find it. Soon.. Soon he'd confront the old man Algren, his alleged father, and find the final piece of the puzzle. But, he'd bide his time, for his skills were great, but against the numbers that now occupied the farmhouse he stood not a chance.

However he wasn't quite to careful when he rounded a corner in search of the medallion and caused a large antique mirror to fall to the floor shattering. A loud thud resounded through the house and pointed to movement in the attic.

Brianna, getting more and more of her memory back...

Brianna nodded at Sadril when he approached, she recognised him at first sight and she noticed her memory came back, gradually. She remembered the scene at the cave....she remembered a lot more in fact that she wouldn´t reveal. The mention of Veric caused her to whine....that name should forever be connected with fear and pain to her.

She tried to get things in order in her mind and when Rahvin turned to her with the remark of her third child being a half-altmer..she knew what he meant.

She was very well aware that she had given birth to three children at the same time and with three different fathers, a miracle per se, but it happened and she also knew how it happened. She did have intercourse with three men in a very short time, but she wasn´t sure she wanted to tell who they were. Yet one of them was dead, Satyana´s father but the two remaining ones....were alive, at least one of them was sitting beside her.

She looked sternly at Rahvin.......

Ok Rahvin, we have done this before, I know you can read my mind, so you know you´re Rann´s father....and you probably know Jadier is or was Satyana´s father.....the third one I never revealed to anyone before...but you know him Rahvin...you know him extremely well.....his body was altmerii...

She bowed her head...she couldn´t continue but she was convinced Rahvin would know by now and if he wanter to reveal it to Sadril....well that would be his decision, and he would have a good reason to do it..

"Well those must be big cats then... sounds like they broke something big," he mused before returning back to his soup. He didn't think there could possibly be anything dangerous up there.

Stepping into Leyawiin, Arco instantly smelled the stench of corpses - along with seeing them spread across the streets. Arco stood still for a moment, his eyes moving slowly from corner to corner but there was no moment.

Arco walked silently alongside the huge chapel, stepping over dead bodies without even showing a expression of discomfort. He stepped up to the two large doors leading into the chapel, outside there were two dead guards - as the guards outside, these too where also brutally killed.

Arco gave Serene a short glance before he used his blade tip to slowly open the chapel door. Although totally dark, Arco's trained eyesight could see the dead bodies spread across the floor in the chapel hall. Taking a few steps further in, Arco noticed a naked imperial priestess on the floor - throat slit open surrounded by a pool of dried blood. This was surely the work of pirates.

"I'll search downstairs..." Arco said plainly whilst still looking around in the room before he turned around and started walking towards the stonestairs leading downstairs.

Green-Root, in Leyawiin.

Green-Root had seen his targets enter the chapel. The Dunmer looked dangerous to him, as focussed as a Cliffracer during the hunt, though without loosing track of his surroundings and potential threats. The Argonian entered the chapel, acting as non-threatening as he could. He too saw the scene of utmost cruelty there.

,,Such a waste." He whispered. It was a waste, in his opinion. Killing people like that was just a big waste of opportunity. The city and its inhabitants were finished. Letting the people survive would give a chance for further raiding at later times. Now, the only thing you could raid was the stench of death.

,,Good day to you. I'm Green-Root. Actually, this probably doesn't fit under any definition of good day."

Algren lost his breath for a moment, he knew who it was. "And hello.. Son." He did a smart about face and looked upon his other "son".
"You were trained better then that Altec, I would ex--"

"You expect nothing. After what you've done to me you shouldn't have the will to even think. And, I'm afraid I shall solve that for you." Altec stepped back several feet and summoned his spirit sword. It cracked and popped, possibly loud enough for the group assembled down stairs, but it was to late.

"Retribution." Was the last word Altec mumbled before he plunged the sword into Algren's chest. The Old mans face went agape, not in horror or fear, but simply that of a dreadful glare and fell to the ground with a large thump.

He couldn't possibly go after Jonathan right now, there were to many people. So instead he ran and jumped straight through the window, shattered pieces of glass flying everywhere and was off into the distance.

Flint Ironwood, finding the scene. (Well, he was investigating)

There was a loud crack.
,,Hello? Anyone.......By all that is holy and not so holy! Not again!" Flint had to lean against the wall. Now how was he going to explain this?

Flint arrived downstairs a few minutes later.
,,Jonathan. Your dad........he's dead." He said with an almost silent voice.
The Breton went over to the table and snatched the first bottle of liquor within reach. This was not a nice day.

Issac

In the darkness Issac could make out a shape fleeing into the night. On instinct, and maybe recklessness, he burst out the door in pursuit. Whoever this person was, Issac intended to find out what he had done and why he had done it.

He kept at a riggorous sprint, just managing to keep the figure in sight....... I have to find out where he's going, at least........

Jonathan Constantine

"Thats not funny Flint.. I might not like the cranky honoured user but I don't wish his death." Jonathan chuckled to himself at his own wit.

Altec

Altec turned his head in his sprint when he 'noticed' his follower. It appeared to only be one and he figured that an innocent didn't need be harmed in his revenge.

"What is your business o' pursuer? Why do you follow me in my revenge?" He stopped and asked, standing by a large tree on the major roadway.

Issac

"Well for a start, I would like to know why you killed Johnathan's uncle." Issac stopped several paces from the man, and watched him warily. "I didn't know him personally, but I doubt your motive was particularly rightous....."

He layed a hand lightly on his katana, Cryorend.

Altec

"That man was the creator of abominations. Cruel and wicked experiments forged mine and Jonathan's bodies and I won't rest until I eliminate every strand of this blasphemy." Altec retorted. "However, you do not need to be purged, therefor go and leave me be."

He noticed the hand moving towards the katana, but new that if he tried anything he could summon his soul sword much quicker. It was hardwired into his body to be so.. efficient at killing.

Issac, suspicious

Cocking an eyebrow, Issac didn't know if he should trust this stranger, who had just slain a seemingly harmless old man. "I suppose you can realize that your story is rather hard to believe...." He said in a calm, even manner.

"I am simply a skeptic of those who suddenly murder people and have a wild story to justufy it." Issac wasn't sure he could win a fight with this man, there was something..... different about him. Hopefully someone will come along soon........ Maybe his story could be slightly true, but we'd need Johnathan and his uncle to verify that and he's dead

"If you could prove that what you say is true, then we could avoid any future conflict." He offered.

Flint, cranky old man.

,,I'm not joking here. He's death, sword in the chest. And before we start arguing, that sword is bigger than mine and Dark Brotherhood prefer daggers in the first place. So who the hell would like to see your dad death and is willing to do it even when we're all relaxing outside?" Flint snapped back at Jonathan. He wasn't angry at the man, just frustrated with life in general. He forced himself to calm down.

,,Look, I'm sorry I freaked out like that. Are there any special burial rites you would like to perform or something? I'll help."

Jonathan

Jonathan was now horrified and raced up the stairs to see if it was true. And alas, it was. There was no blood, whatever cause it burned the edges of the wound shut, however was right through the chest and it ruptured everything.

"Who would do this.." He growled at himself, forcing back the tears that were encroaching his face. While he was about to return down the stairs however he noticed a small sheet of manila colored paper hanging out of his father's pocket. Oddly enough it was addressed to him..

To: Jonathan Constantine

My son, when you receive this letter it is a good possibility that I am dead, and thusly I write this with a heavy heart. It pains me to continue but I must, for your sake.. and for Altec's sake.

Long ago, under the reign of the Septims I was chosen to undertake a program of.. engineering. However the subjects of the project were my own children. I was so caught up with the idea that I didn't care what befell of my two boys. However now it feels as though daggers are peircing mine heart each time I recall the memories. Altec, and yourself, were supposed to be a new line of magically enhanced being capable of spreading the emperor's power far and wider then it already is. However your brother was the first to undergo the operations. Days of intense.. torturing and magickal absorption were laid upon him while in his infant stage and he survived! We were amazed by this and repeated the process. We found however that this burnt up any memory that you or your brother might of had as a child, but this was good for the project.

The second part of the "training" came when you were each around the age of five, but I was becoming more resistant to the program. I started to realize that I was tampering with the lives of MY children and in an attempt to stop it I hid you from the project. I was unable to recover Altec though and they took him off to experiment with him more off in the Valrus Mountains.

I only learned recently of his escape, and the carnage that it ensued. Several of the projects leading scientists have already been slain, and I fear I could be next. I don't what is driving him toward that violent goal but I fear we cannot stop him. You are the one that could however Jonathan! You share a special bond with him that only you two share.. Your eye! They were horridly replaced as a youngster but they serve to link you two together.

Don't let him get the amulet either, he has one half, you have the other. Keep it safe.

The letter just ended there.. Jonathan was unsure what to feel, for to many emotions were building up. Love, fear, hate, malice, compassion all. However he made his way downstairs reguardless and looked at the collection of the group with sad eyes.

"We should get going.. I know its late but.. Please.."

Altec

"There shall be peace yet.. But not now.."

He began to call upon the energy and purposefully slowly called the spirit sword into this plane of existence.

Flint Ironwood, standing outside.

,,So no burial? I understand, there's a lot at stake now. May the Divines watch over his soul." The Breton replied and got up from the ground. He cast one last look at the Imperial city in the distance and then began to walk away, towards Leyawiin.

Two men stood a bit further away on the road. Flint was still too far to see any details. The shape of one of the two looked familiar though.
,,Issac?"

"Let's go then." he said, reading the signs that said he didn't want to talk about what just happened.

Green-Root, Leyawiin chapel.

The Argonian shifted his eyes from the corpse to the man and the woman.
,,What were you doing in the water?" He asked bluntly.

Water still dripped from his scaly hide, revealing his identity as the Argonian that had slain the sharks earlier.
,,Swimming during a storm is nothing for you smoothskinned people. At the surface, the water is wild, untamed. A few metres deep, where the sunlight starts to fade, it is calm, like a breeze."

Arco noticed the argonian entering the chapel right before he was about to head downstairs, Arco's hands still holding a tight grip around the hilts when he saw the argonian.

"I'd like to ask you the exact same question, Argonian." Arco replied, stepping closer the argonian.

,,During times like these, I don't travel the land. It is too dangerous. The water is much safer. As for why I was in the water, I was merely saving your smooth skin from the sharks. That and I needed something to eat anyway. Sharkmeat is very nutritious. Now why were you in the water?" The Argonian pressed on, seemingly undisturbed by the blades held in the Dunmer's hands.

"No. There is another. Half altmer, no less." he answered. "I don't know who the father is." he continued, looking to Brianna to shed some light on the issue.

Sadril

"Well it may be important to find her to protect her from Veric's grasp," Sadril said, looking towards Brianna as he saw Rahvin did.

"Saving our smooth skin from the sharks, believe me - I've encountred way worse creatures than big fishes." Arco replied stepping up besides Serene and leaning on a nearby pillar.

"Our ship sank outside the coast..." Arco added and raised his head, looking into the eyes of the argonian whilst carving some random pattern with his blade tips in the stone ground.

Green-Root.

,,Perhaps you have, yet challenging the masters of the sea is foolish for those who dwell on the land. Dark times are coming. If you wish to live, do not go near the cities. The force that claimed Leyawiin will likely strike at the heart of the empire. Such a blow, the empire cannot survive."

Having said that, Green-Root turned around and began to walk away.
,,There is nothing left here, only death."

OOC: I just figured it would be a waste for me to post because all I would've said is that Rahvin decided not to say who the father was

Rahvin

"Good luck with that." he said, deciding to keep Brianna's information to himself. No need to give too much to the double-agent. "She was taken by Telina's sister not long after her birth. No telling if she's even alive."

He wondered if the third child possessed as much natural magical talent as her father. If so, she would be a person not to be taken lightly. At least his own line had a natural protection from the same...

"I figure if Telina's sister actually raised her instead of killing her, then she's not going to be the friendliest of people."
