Get bigger undies. tongue.gif

Speaking of wich, doesn't anybody find it annoying that there are like a thousand different sorts of underware on sale for a woman while a male just has to do with what is currently the going fashion?

Not that there is much to complain about currently but I'll dread the day speedo like stuff comes back. mellow.gif
Wurlon
Yeah, limited selection. Speedos and underwear that shrinks to the size of an ant if washed too many times.

Are you quite sure about that? hubbahubba.gif

Besides I agree that there are much more different kinds of underwear for women, still I think the variety of menīs undies has grown during the last years..at least here in Sweden. tongue.gif
Dantrag
There's no point in different styles of underwear. Most people don't see it, and those that do would rather see you without them anyway.

Megil Tel-Zeke
lol. yeah the variety has increased. it's all a matter of personal preference really. some like the looseness of boxers, some don't. so some go in between with boxer briefs or go full blown briefs. then there's the much sexier men's underwear, but i shant go into that lol.

Yea, well I prefer boxers... It is comfortable and very airy, I really don't like things sticking to my boat. Specially during weightlifting.

Damn't.. I just dropped chili on my pants.

Anyways.So.. What type of car do you guys drive?

I drive a Nissian 350z sport.. biggrin.gif

Not really, I actually drive a 96 Ford F-150 Extended Cab + Bed. Some nice tires that can go through any terrain, and a tool box for good measure (yes, It does have tools in it... And no.. I do not wear camo to school)

Danny do you see peeps wearing camo at your school? Its rampant amongst the redneck population here.

Not since I moved to Raleigh. When I lived in Plymouth and Elizabethtown, everyone except me and black people wore camo to school.

And...I'm sorry that you have to drive a truck; that's a lot of gas money you have to spend.

I drive an '87 Toyota Camry Wagon. 30 mpg = the coolness. Despite the fact that wagons aren't cool, I like mine; I can do whatever I want with it and not worry about what happens to it like a lot of my friends with nicer cars because mine is a POS. It rattles all the time, to get the radio to work, you have to get out at a stoplight and pull the antenna up because the motor that makes it go up is broken, it's about 5 different shades of blue from all the accidents it's been in (my brother and my grandma drove it), sometimes it gets stuck in 3rd gear, the interior side panel has been put back on with tar, and the emergency brake is broken because of a certain person doing doughnuts.

You know you like it. laugh.gif

Oh.. and wurlon.. all I can say is.. OMG.. WTF..

30mpg in the city? My Suabru only gets about 25, but it has all wheel drive which is good because I live in Michigan and it snows a lot here. There's a storm heading this way right now in fact.
Intestinal Chaos
Well I had an interesting dream today (or nightmare more accurately).

I remember this one rather well... probably because it actually made (some) sense. It started with me fetching my cousin from a party and me and him walking to this strange campground. I don't remember much after that... just disconnected bits and pieces... I remember my friend Justin randomly spawing in various areas and then relation our current situation to different kinds of metals and their chemical properties.

Afterwards... I just remember running across a river (on rocks) and there being zombies under the water.... That combines two of my worst fears.... zombies and deep water... I don't remember much after that... but I have a prolonged horror scene where zombies underneath a rushing stream persued me as I ran across partially submerged rocks...

I don't drive. (I'm only fifteen sad.gif) However, my dad told me that he'd sell me his old '69 Satelite if I was willing to buy it, once I could drive. It's an old POS, it needs brakes, it needs a new floor, the new cherry red paint is chipping, which reveals the old rust-red corroded paint. The seats need to be reupholstered and the exhaust pipes need to be extended or the car fills up with the fumes.

Alternatively, one of my friends knows somebody who knows soenody who runs a car shop, said he could get me a van or a station wagon in working condition for maybe $600. (not a bad price, considering) A car like that would be good for me, 'cause I'll be one of the first of my friends to be able to drive, I'm gonna have to chaperone a lot. (I like driving, so it's no problem for me)

As an additional alternative, if, when I'm ready to buy a car, I'm still on speaking terms with my mother (odds are against it, but it's possible), her boyfriend is in a car club. There are currently two cars for sale cheap there, the guys who own them bought them and don't want them anymore. And they even work, too, but they might need air in the tires. $200 and $150, and they're cool cars too.

So my future of driving is looking decent. My dad's teaching me how to drive, he gives me lessons from time to time, he figured to start before my mother started teaching me. (which could be anywhere from a travesty to a nightmare) For his lessons, we drive his good car, a silver 2004 PT Cruiser.

I, too, had an odd dream recently, but I can't post it yet. I need to check something with a few of my friends before posting it, but I should have it up before next week.

Next week is mid term exam week for me. I have only two exams, English and Earth Science. The English is something I can't really stud for, and I have the Earth Science down cold, so I'm set. smile.gif (for now, I'm sure my nerves'll get rattled before the midterms start)

25?? I hope you don't mind walking, because that's a long wait.
minque
Iīve naturally had a licence for ages! blink.gif .....But here in Sweden weīre not allowed a licence until weīre 18. Though we can practise by 16! So my eldest ...who is 19 is currently in US, so I canīt benefit from her licence, which is a shame because it was really convenient to have a personal chauffeur, when being out on parties and stuff!.. biggrin.gif
Number 2 is 16 but havenīt started practising yet....now she will of course.....

Today nobody wants to drive since itīs a terrible snowstorm here at the moment!! ohmy.gif
Intestinal Chaos
Bah, driving is overrated.

I have walked everywhere all my life, since my parents are too damn cheap to even drive me (let alone get me a car!).

I'm too lazy to work and walking is fine with me, someone I know will eventually get a car anyways.
Channler
Well, I had one of my european freinds tell me something about distance in Europe (This has relation to driving.)

He said over here (the US) when we say "Not to far" or "Down the road" It is usually somehwere in between 1 - 10 miles.

However, where he lived at (Not sure where.. I think it was in germany) when they said that.. It ment a 5 minute walk.

America is so spaced out.... Even in a lot of small towns its pretty far. My town with a grande pop of 5,000 would take me over 2 hours at a brisk/jogging pace to reach the other side.

Oh, and Megil.. I wondered what you would say to my previous post biggrin.gif

Wow, I'm sorry *shiver*

We're aiming more for, I don't apply genres very well, a more Rock/Horror/Progressive thing.

Even that gives a kind of bad image to how we'll be doing things, but that's as close as I can think (with my flawed ability to apply genres).

It's not bad; it was just an idea taht didn't work out. Me and the guys are still good friends, I'm just not in their band. No big deal.

Sweet. If you ever make a recording, post it here. And then tell me what site you used to host mp3s. laugh.gif

In all seriousness, though, make sure that you appeal to every band member's tastes. If you don't, you may have a person like me on your hands.

Intestinal Chaos
One of our members has connections to get us some (cheap) studio time, so you may just see some of our music.

And it's more along the lines of being somewhat Romantic on some of the songs... so it's like Rock/Horror/Progressive/Romance.

But it doesn't matter how much I talk about it until I do it.

Depending on how well our first practice goes I'll either be the lead singer or we'll alternate between me and someone else. No matter how the practice goes I'll be writing a majority of the lyrics and doing a bit of screaming here and there.

We're going to use screaming very sparingly, it's my opinion too many people abuse the use of a scream and that overall ruins them. I mean come on.... Hawthorne Heights is bad enough (in my opinion) without the screamer, it's just even more terrible with it, since it does not match the rest of their music.

"Hey kids!, we're cool 'cause we yell! BUY MY STUFF!"

Ahaha, thank you. I might not have mentioned it on this thread, but we're still in the running for a name. So far we have "Psychosis Butterfly" and "Bloodshot Romance" as potentials.

If you have any suggestions just put them down here.

EDIT: Bloodshot Romance got killed. I gave Dantrag's point to two of the members (on AIM) and they agreed. It's a 3 to 2 vote and Bloodshot Romance is out (the other two just aren't on, and therefore weren't capable of voting).

Psychosis Butterfly's a cool band name.

Some of my friends were setting up a band some time ago, but they had a couple of problems. Specifically, they had no instruments and all they had was a couple sheets of lyrics. smile.gif Last time I checked, they had managed to scrape up enough instruments to manage (thank Santa Clause, everybody). I'll probably end up doing the recording/editing stuff, for the sole reason that I'm the only computer/music nerd they know. (and they have absolutely no connections) biggrin.gif I have very, very, basic access to recording equipment (basically limited to recorders, a kareoke machine, and the mic in my MP3 player) and editing software (I use Audacity, when I have to edit music for my own needs) but I think I'm still the only person they can find. (pathetic, but hey) Last time I checked, they couldn't think of a band name either. (as a joke, I looked for band name generators for them, and surprisingly, came up with some they actually liked) They wanted their band to be Ozzie Osbourne/Black Sabbath style. If anything actually comes of it, I'll see about posting a link.

Haven't actually heard any Hawthorne Heights music, so I'll avoid passing judgement on them. But if they're like most of the other music in that particular trend (they're an emo band, right?) then I probably would agree with your oppinion. (I do like some of the heavier emo rock stuff, like Thrice, though)

Yeah, post the link to the music, if you can, once you can. Sounds like it could be good music. (better than the junk playing on local radio stations, anyways)

This'll be the first place I go once we get down some recorded songs, but excpect them to be up within a timespan of months :/. Hawthorne Heights... just to say.. is not a favorite of mine... but yes, they are classified emo. I dislike just about everything under the Victory Records label......

The main inspirations of our band are (if you read the "listening to now" thread you may have already guessed one of them) The Schoolyard Heroes, Tsunami Bomb, (more recently) One.slash.two, and the Tigerlillies. You may be sensing a theme if you know most the bands, three out of four of them are female lead. I just prefer the female voice, though I'll obviously be singing in a male one.

So far I have been writing two songs, "Living Decay" and another with is currently untitled (I was thinking around the lines of "Say 'I love you' or somesuch). Song one is a bit closer to completion and song two is actually comprised of a fragment of a song I wrote when I was younger. Living Decay is more mellow and sad and song two is romantic.

Sorry to bring back the past (get off my back, I don't visit much at the moment), but, wow. Thats almost as bad as my Last Knights fan pictures (remember that one, dark night on the chat board?).

Also, Haazaa! Konradude! Welcome back and good to hear you're in a band now. If you guys get big, can I sleep in the tour bus? Its kind of a life long dream of mine.

Rock/Horror/Progressive/Romance? Sounds like some thing I would listen to until it got to big and started appealing to 10 year olds. Sorry, I got a little carried away, but that sounds pretty awesome. My band has no name, no lyrics that match songs yet, no Bass (though we don't need one as my guitar is so awesomely adaptable) and no unnecissary backup singer who screams increadibly loudly, ruining the awesome guitar solo.

Well, don't get me wrong, We are hardly EVER going to scream, and even when we do it won't be all that rough. It's going to be mostly soft and and quiet, "like softly whispered cyanide" I think is how my singing was described laugh.gif
"Living Decay" is nearing completion and I'm going to be focusing my efforts more strongly on the love song.

I talked to that friend with the band the other day. Evidently I'm now the official general manager/producer/editor/pretty much everything that doesn't require playing a musical instrument, for his band. Kinda sad, but they aren't expecting to get any actual studio time or anything, or hire a real editor, or get a mainstream record release. Optimistic people don' end up being friends with people like me. And expecting any of that would be beyond optimism to the point of self delusion. So yeah, 'til people find out about them, I get to do that stuff. (as a demonstration of the power of sound editing, I left my friend in front of my computer with Audacity and Metallica's Sad but True, let him goof around. Then I had to put down the monster he created before it killed us all.)

They just need a drummer now, and I know some drummers. Two of them are even good. Of those two, unfortunately, one is a punk rocker (while my friend's band is more the heavy metal type), and the other is like two years old. (she's actually good, but somehow, I don't think they'll want a two year old in their band biggrin.gif) I mentioned the punk rocker, the band is fine with him, but he wants to know if the band is good, first. Guess maybe I see what they sound like. Hehe.
