N00bs, is that all you have?, really?
I gave birth to the universe and was the first person to invent sound, which consiquently also led me to be the first person to break wind. I discovered Earth and then mistakenly spawned the human race. After that I fell over and created the Grand Canyon, Crater Lake, and Mississipi. I one day grew hungry and ate the dinosaurs and then punched a hole in the Earth to cover it all up as a "meteor strike". After some time I founded Mount Olympus and threw the first thunderbolt striking a small civilization that would later be known as the "Greeks". They worshipped me as a god, but even then I wasn't very social, and to divert attention exploded a volcano near Pompeii and accidently stepped on Atlantis.
This didn't quite work and some of them even caught on and they built an enourmas Mecha-Gavin which was me times ten in every way and made of metal. Enraged by this show of arrogance by the human race I attempted to rend their creaetion piece by piece before completion. It activated during mid-rending and we battled across the continent and split it into pieces. I quickly consumed a piece of gum and shot out a gout of ice breath creating BOTH (count 'em, two) polar ice caps and effecitvely permanently freezing Antartica. By then the ten times as strong as me part played in and Mecha-Gavin appealed to the Spanish Royalty, sailed across the ocean (blue), discovered the Native-Americans and settled a new continet.
Now twice as enraged I invented the smile, finger tips, stop signs as well as the written word (in every form) and uprooted several red woods to construct a might club (and construct I did). The Mecha-Gavin responded in kind by discovering how to transmute lead to gold and converting his own fists into shiny golden boxing gloves (at the same time inventing the sport and damaging brains the world over). We duked it out and I taught blind men to read and little boys how to throw rocks in windows. After a mighty battle that created many rifts and valleys in the Earth I scraped my knee and began to cry, creating the first oceans, rivers, and lakes (pretty much making water).
After that I took a break and founded the Illuminati, organized the Shadow Goverment, programmed the Carnivore, and shot JFK from the grassy knoll. After a long while of secretly ruling the world I resumed my battle and lost. Mecha-Gavin spared me though (being ten times as kind) and stripped me of my powers and trapped me in the body of a small child who was just born. He though was also TEN TIMES AS WEAK as me at this point and collapsed into a pile of metal when he had his window broken by a small boy with a rock (the window was in his knee by the way).
Having indirectly defeated Mecha-Gavin I then aged into a 16 year old boy and joined this forum. I am currently working on getting my former size and power back. It's all history from here on.

I hate wen keys get lost. Very not fun for all involved. It happened to a guy i know when my school did a battle of the bands. The principal gave him the keys for basically every room in the school, and he lost them. He spent about 20 minutes running around the place frantically, on the verge of a nervous breakdown, before he eventaully found them.
Oh and i'm guessing your daughter is a little upset ;)

I find it rather surprising (yes this is a change of the conversation) to find out what others really think of you. Today I found out that other people not only think I'm insanely smart (yay), but that I am extremely nice as well. On top of all that, I was asked why I was so shy, which sort of surprised me, and my math teacher didn't assign any homework.
I've had a very happy day, and I thought I'd share the joy.

Have fun, Bring a swimsuit. It's hot over there.
This reminds me of something. It was hot today! Come on, I live in the northeast part of the USA, and it's freakin' January! There hasn't been snow for almost a month! Come on, we usually get several feet of snow easily, but this year we've never had more than a foot or two.
Gamer10-Yeah, it's nice knowing what other people think of you. At the high school orientation last summer, I overheard someone telling their mother, "See that kid in grey over there? He's like some kind of genius or something." I looked around, but I was the only one in grey.

Nice to know what people think of you, sometimes.
I already know what my teachers think of me. I'm a punk who ruins all their lessons by asking questions they can't answer. Sometimes these questions are related to the subject matter, sometimes they're questions like, "What are we ever going to use this for?" which I ask in math class, when we're doing stuff that seems useless. (No answer, of course. Hard to answer a question that has no answer)
Of course, it's not always nice, but I still like to know, nice or not. People avoided me for a couple of weeks about a year ago, and I didn't know why. Then I found out that there were rumors floating around that I paid little kids to give me blowjobs.

Nasty shock for me, I don't even know any little kids. ;) But I still preferrred to know what people were thinking aout me. (those rumors are over, someone got curious about me and started tracking down those rumors, finally tracked them to a person that nobody believes or trusts)
Doomed- Friday the 13th? I forgot about that. I had a so-so day. Nothing special, but I didn't get maimed, injured, or dead. And I avoided needing to hide any bodies today, so I guess it was alright.

Recently (well, okay, maybe not, more like 3 months ago) we had a very peculiar discussion in my communications class. My teacher asked each one of us about love at first sight, and whether we believed it existed or not.
What are your views?
Mine was:
Since it is impossible to define love except metaphorically, we cannot come to a logical decision about the existence of love at first sight. Personally, I doubt there is ever going to be any way to prove that such a subconcious emotion really exists. I do however, believe in the existence of love, and believe that if love is as it is often defined, then love at first sight may exist.

Its easy to say that there are many people out there who think love is something is not. and try to appease the desire only physically. Those type of people drive me up the wall.
I would like to think of love as something that completes us on all levels of life. mentally, emotionally, and physically as well.

Megil Tel-Zeke
Jan 15 2006, 04:23 AM
the reason starbucks is preffered is that they use less cofee than most normal places. also part of their roasting process involves burning the beans. Their machines are also fully automated which I don't like since it takes away from teh whole experience of a cofee shop.
I don;t drink starbucks, but I would work for them at the tip of a hat. they offer great benefits. they are #6 of the top 100 companies to work for.

It's perfectly appropriate, it's just personal, but it's like say in a dream you get offered to join a band or something, and you get tons of fans and everybody loves you, then you wake up, that's what this was like. I started out normally, then one thing happened, then another and suddenly I was like, "wait a second, this is what I've been hoping for for the last few months, but I never get what I want, how is this possible?"
Well, I realized it was a dream, so if I wanted I could have lucid dreamed, but I thought for a second, "how could I make this dream any better?" So I just chose to let it go on the way it was, and forgot I was dreaming. A little while later I woke up and it was like a big inside joke had come to its conclusion.

Sounds like my dreams.

Only, not the joking part. I have dreams where I go through a normal day, and when I get to the end of the day, I wake up, only to go through half a day before waking up again (this time for real). Really, really disorients me. I'm not entirely sure when I'm dreaming and when I'm not anymore. My dreams tend to be normal days, nothing out of the ordinary (so if I bring up an inside joke, everyone gets it, regardless of whether I'm dreaming or not, because all of our inside jokes already exist.

Takes me an average of five minutes to realize that I'm awake, and I don't realize that I'm dreaming untill it's over. I have other dreams, too, but that type is the most frequently reoccurring, followed by nightmares, falling, then by drowing, then by some strange combination of all of the above, then any other type of dream have. My fantasies tend to occur more often when I'm daydreaming than when I'm really dreaming. Dreams are an outlet of your mind, a form of self-therapy, so the odder your dreams are, the more messed up your mind is (on the inside, you may still be perfectly rational and normal and still be messed up). I suppose dreaming about having a normal day would mean that there's something else going on in your everyday life, something you aren't noticing that your subconscious mind picks up, and it's trying to give you a hint. Unfortunately, I'm still clueless.
DoomedOne- That must suck. At least with my dreams, nothing special happens, so there's nothing to miss when I realize that I'm awake. Hey, maybe you're having prophetic dreams, maybe it's a hint of something to come. (unlikey, but you can hope, right?)

I'd work for Starbucks, but I don't think they'd take me. Besides, it's an awfully long bike ride. (not old enough to drive, can't afford gas or a car anyways, which is part of why I need a job) I don't think I'm old enough, at any rate. There are a lot of child labor laws around here, you can't work with machinery or food 'till you're older.
DoomedOne
Jan 16 2006, 06:13 PM
Kindred, please, don't get my hopes up like that, waking up from that dream was enough to crush my hopes. God I wish though... If only.
Yeah I'll admit my mind is pretty messed up. But the flip side is I'm an extremely creative person and I feel compelled to write a lot of the time, like if I don't write I'll explode, so for that I'm glad I'm not ordinary.
What really got me though was how ordinary the dream was while I was having it. Looking back it feels distant but I actually tried to check and scrutinize the world I was living in at one point, and the passage of time felt normal, everything looks normal, as I remember (from thinking this) it was indistinguishable from the real world, only a little more pleasant. Of course, all I have is the memory of thinking that, from the perspective of someone who woke up from it, it was rather fragmented.

Personally I always go on epic quests though I often switch in the middle of one quest to another and I always follow a very flawed logic.
That's another thing, whatever happens it makes perfect sense to me. I have a very off-base and sideways form of logic that makes the dreams that I can remeber rather odd when I try to think like I did.
Direct quote from my sleeping mouth "No, that doesn't seem fun. Infact, it seems kind of dangerous". That's what I said when a small boy with too many arms try to get me to scale (down) a brick building that dropped so far I could only see black.

Man, that's pretty weird, but I had a dream based upon fast acting evolution with increadibly flawed logic. Beat that!

As for Star Bucks, I would probably work there if I stopped working at BlockBuster, but I would hate it, most of the people who go there, everyone I work with, Threaten to quit and get caught saying "Welcome to StarBucks, the mall equivalent to Napoleon" every day. The starBucks I go to not only has that Tall means small, Grande means medium and Viete means large crap, but has some of the most dull, boring, anti-social snobs working and drinking there. I don't know if this is what its like everywhere, but its like walking into a library for high class zombies. That's ok. We're here for you anyways.

I don't drink coffee at Starbucks, not often, anyways. I usually grab the largest expresso money can buy from the nearest convenience store right before school, and drink it on the way. Starbucks would be a bit of a walk. (if I got up at four in the morning and started walking, I might be able to make it back to the bus stop in time for the bus)
I vividly recall a dream I had where a bunch of jedi, including Yoda (yes, I'm a nerd

) were fighting this evil monster thingy, and it kept on eating them all. I would switch perspectives as the Jedi that I was got eaten, and I could see the inside of the monster, so I could actually see all of the dead jedi. (odd, I know) But most of my dreams center around things that are actually plausible, and still seem plausible after I wake up and think about it.
