Ben and Niner are a good team indeed. Though Niner gets more shots (he also has an SMG), Ben's shots are more deadly.

He'd love to play some cards with Niner but the kid barely knows how to read.

Niner is aiming at Ben because he draws a weapon whenever Ben does. Fortunately he's not affected by friendly fire even if he accidentally shoots him during fights.

That's the encounter I mentioned in the Updates thread, when Ben was facing a lot of enemies all alone. Niner can be seen lying unconscious right in front of the Jackal leader which Ben just shot.

"Hey, Six, I dozed off. What happened?"

Looks like 6 and 9 (mostly 6) liberated Primm from the Legion.

@Acadian - the kid can't stand on his own for too longs indeed. But when he does, he's a very good shooter.

@SubRosa - Ben & Niner aren't much of explorers so they'll definitely stay away from the region south of the pit stop. I still recall nightstalkers, radscorpions and golden geckos from one of my first playthroughs.

@Winter Wolf - Ben's old and wrinkled face is almost more interesting to look at than Niner's.

The road ahead was insecure so Ben & Niner joined the caravan - both parties could benefit from some extra weapons

A short distance ahead they ran into a hostile group of Viper gunslingers but dealt with them from afar

They applied the same technique to the lone legionnaire

By late afternoon they safely made it to Novac

Yes, Ben and Niner seem to make a good team. Linking up with that caravan really makes for a ragtag-looking group . . . but clearly a deadly one.

Also love the shoot out on the road to Novac! I get the same battle there every time. Normally the brahmin get caught in the crossfire and either charge straight through the battle or go down in a hail of lead.

Wow, that is amazing what you guys can do on PC. I would love to have that control on my Xbox. No, scratch that idea, there are too many NPC's that I dislike on Fallout 4. The game would be too empty without them there.

I don't think that is because he is on the PC; that is that slave Mez gun you can get from the guy out front at Paradise Falls; it gives you bad karma even if you use it on Raiders; so it is if you are wanting your character to be evil (I used it on the XBox game just one character who I was trying to get all the evil achievements with).

While the slave collar is on the NPC will have a unique dialogue; and you can strip them of all their worldly possessions. Then you tell them to get to Paradise Falls and they have a certain amount of time to arrive there or the slave collar blows up and they go flying; sometimes in pieces.

It was kind of fun blowing up raiders, and using the Mez gun.

Ahh, yes, it just goes to show how long it has been since I have played FO3. Thanks mALX for pointing that out. Half of the comment was referring to the control that PC has to get great camera shots. I remember Sub Rosa using a fat man downtown and seeing the pic of the nuke shooting out looked awesome! But you are right, of course!

Speaking of screenshots- I am tempted to download Fallout 3 and NV on the Xbox One. Both are now backward compatible and you also have all the DLC as extra download. How cool would that be? I could just play Fallout 24/7 and never have to leave the house.

I use Ghoul & Raider races playable to enable raiders in the creation menu.

His eyes are from the Sparkling Eyes mod.

Animations are vanilla, I used tfc 1 to freeze camera during fights or in this case, eating.

No, they treat you the same no matter of your race, you could use a console or some mod to ally your PC with raiders or ghouls, but I don't want to befriend Rattler to raiders, at least not yet.

Rattler's knife is getting one workout there. That last Raider had been collecting cut-off hand souvenirs from the poor members of the wasteland. Rattler just added his whole arm to his collection!

@SubRosa - it amazes me how powerful some weapons like a simple combat knife, are. Rattler literally sent that raider flying backwards all over the room, nocking any miscellaneous stuff in his way to the ground.

The appearance that you achieved for Rattler is awesome. He has the perfect 'stringy' body shape that suits the wild wasteland survival look. That face is also just as good, ahh, I should say bad.

It is a real worry now that Rattler has reached Tenpenny. Depending if he joins allegiance with them or goes solo- the DC wasteland might never be the same again.

@SubRosa - he "climbed" the wall thanks to two animations from the Anchorage DLC, namely DLCAnchClimbingCliff and LooseDLCAnchJumpDown. The first one freezes your character once it's over, so in fact I used those animations for taking screenies but then used the 'tcl' command to get over the wall.

@Acadian - good to know I'm not the only who thinks that seeing dirty Rattler in a lobby of a pre-war hotel just seems wrong.

@Winter Wolf - he sided with Gustavo, in fact he killed Roy Phillips right outside the Tenpenny Tower. I thought that by doing this the quest takes a different path and you're let in immediately but the game doesn't detect he's dead until his companions from the Warrington train station are dead too. That wouldn't happen in New Vegas, there the consequences would be immediate.

@mALX - Megaton still stands in Rattler's game because he hasn't been there, besides he hasn't talked to Tenpenny. By now Rattler is "To be shot on sight" in most civilized towns, so chances are that Megaton will remain unharmed in his game because by using a True Slaver Mod you get attacked immediately in some places.

@Renee - your comment about who doesn't like raw mole rats made me chuckle.

The thrill of pleasure that radiates from Mr. Rattler comes across so well in the pics. Killing is his business and business looks good! At least for him.

@SubRosa - this snake prefers a warm meal from time to time but he doesn't mind eating raw either. I wonder if wastelanders respawn, for the time being they haven't, instead their bodies remain even when cells reset, but maybe more time has to pass.

@Winter Wolf - skies in my game aren't vanilla, they're from the Enhanced Skies mod. The way it looks like in the Ominous pic, was only for the 2nd time since I've been playing with Rattler. I don't remember seeing this type of clouds before in Hobo's game either so it must be a rare event.

@Acadian - I do believe that having Rattler as a boss in the next FO game might get Beth some new fans. But first they have to make 'being evil' possible again, from what I read, it's not possible to be as evil in FO4 as it is in FO3 or FNV.

Rattler would be an awesome evil boss in Fallout. Trying to pin him down would be bloody hard though, he has got climbing skills that leave Lara for dead. Straight up over the balcony- insane!

Fallout 4 has none of the straight up evil or karma that FO3 has. It is more like, okay, everybody here is a strange shade of grey, and we are going to let you play off each faction against one another. Wipe out the Brotherhood, sure, take on the Railroad, go right ahead. It works as far as the fun is concerned but it all comes too quick to be believable. One minute you are in the faction the next minute they are trusting you to run the place. I wish that Bethesda would stop writing stupid quest lines like that.

I do have my fingers, toes and claws cross that Nuka World might bring some evil to the table.
