Lopov: Even with the stealth boy, Paradise Falls was a tough fight. Loviatar had to pause and eat a few slavers to get some health back, before getting back in the fight.

She did free the slaves. And even after that, and killing all the slavers except the doctor (who wasn't hostile), her Karma did not budge from Very Evil.

I think the AntAgonizer is a random world encounter that can happen if you don't kill her after completing the Canterbury Commons quest. I know she can appear if you talk her out of being the AntAgonizer. But I did not know that she could appear if you just kill the Mechanist. It is a first for me.

Sorry, I forgot to respond. The AntAgonizer is an NPC. She's a supervillain plaguing the town of Canterbury Commons, her arch enemy being The Mechanist, a superhero defending the town from her.

You can take a number of paths with them and the quest they are part of. You can kill the AntAgonizer. Or you can talk her out of her villainous ways, and she takes off her super suit and wanders the wasteland. Finally, you can take her side in the battle, and kill the Mechanist for her. Loviatar took the final option, and at the end the AntAgonizer left Canterbury Commons to again wander the wastelands. I have never done it that way before, but obviously she also can appear afterward, just as if you talk her down from villainy.

When I played the AntAgonizer, my character Dot talked the Anty NPC down from villainy. Afterward Dot took up the AntAgonizer costume and decided to use the power of the Ant for Good. Thus a new AntAgonizer was born!

Lopov: I remember Hobo spending a lot of time in the north-western part of the map, and the satellite dishes around there. So when I saw all the empty whiskey bottles I could not resist a Hobo shout out.

The Hobo thanks all that liked his "Haw Baw" story.

He came upon the vehicle from another planet the other day but carefully observed it from a safe distance.

The Hobo admits that he's afraid of the what looks like a fallen flying platter.

He also came upon Motel Loviatar but all beds were occupied.

Hobo's wise to keep his distance from that contraption! Using the binoculars effect made for neat screenshots!

Acadian: I had forgotten about the Marine Barracks in DC. Holland was probably there at least once in her time. I looked it up on Google Maps, and near as I can tell, it is in an area that is inaccessible in the game.

She was definitely showing the Army how to do things right!

Now that I have played her a bit, I have done some conjugating on Holland's background. She was born in 2050 in Denver, Colorado.. When she was two years old the New Plague/Blue Flu occurred and killed her parents. She was sent to an orphanage, and grew up bad. When she was a teen she was committing cyber-crimes and blackmail. Finally she was arrested by the FBI when she was 21 (in 2071) and given the choice of prison or the military. China had invaded Alaska when she was 16 (in 2066), so they needed every one they could get.

It was an easy decision for Holland - steel bars or shooting people. Since they gave her a choice, she went into the Marine Corps, because she wanted to be the best. She soon learned that prison would have been a lot easier. But hard as the Corps was, it gave her a sense of purpose and belonging that she had never felt before. Given her skill with computers, she was put into Signals Intelligence/Electronic Warfare.

Her first deployment was just a year later, in 2072. She was sent to annex Canada. In 2074 Holland and the Corps hit the beaches of the Yangtze River and took Shanghai. A year later her first term of enlistment was up. She could not imagine going back to life as a civilian, so she reenlisted for another six years, and was promoted to Warrant Officer. It was during a major Chinese counterattack on the Marine positions in the winter of 2076/77 that she was taken by the aliens. One moment she was in her battalion HQ working on cracking Chinese encrypted communications, then the next the room turned bright white. She woke up in Mothership Zeta.

Been there, done that is a great shot, it "shows" what happened to Hollande and hints at more to come. She's standing in a good position. Definitely my favorite shot from the bunch.

Colt looks good, it's useful to have something for small critters (and raiders). The Hobo uses a shishkebab for bloatflies.

Acadian: It often takes a little while for a character's background and attitudes to come together for me. Holland's are finally starting to really gel.

I hear they are going to be getting rid of that 9mm and going to a new handgun. Hopefully back to a .45.


Lopov: That is actually the vanilla sky! I was using a modded one for a while, but it added too many stars. It didn't look real. So I went back to the vanilla stars. I think I still have a modded moon though, with high res textures for it.

I am not sure if that monument pic was at sunrise or sunset. Holland did spend a lot of time gunning down commies muties in the Mall though.

That was a very close one with the Raider and BOS guy standing right next to one another. That is why I went to VATS. I was afraid I would shoot the BOS'er by accident if I freehanded it.

Hobo eats Bloatfly Fricassee then! In New Vegas I created a recipe for Bloatfly Sliders, which I think was bloatfly meat + vodka.

Even back when I was creating Holland, I knew that you would approve of her hair color!

That battle at Big Town can be tough, in spite of the narrow bridge leading into the town. The mutants like to throw grenades, and the Big Towners all love to crowd around the end of the bridge. It is difficult to get through that fight without one or two of them ending up in pieces.


Lopov: Encountering a deathclaw ends most people's wasteland adventuring days for good!

I thought it was hilarious when Dogmeat started chasing that Raider. At first I held my fire to see how long it would last. But Dogmeat couldn't catch her, so I had to slow her down with a couple of .45 ACPs.

I think the head is probably the least vital area on a Super-Mutant, especially the empty space between their ears...
