OOC: I think quick tempered was what he meant
BobV
OOC: Yes, i tend to confuse the terms
Megil Tel-Zeke
OOC:hence the confusion tongue.gif

IC: "But yes are you joingin us afterall, or are you just intending to follow along until you get what you want?"
BobV
"No, I'm joining you because apart from the bloodthirsty maniac you're nice enough people, because I need a diversion from suicide missions for the Mages' Guild, because getting rid of this evil mage" and absorbing his knowledge, he thought to himself "is also a good thing, and last but not least because of the adoration that is given to heroes by desirable young maidens." Anthanes grinned.
BobV
blah, double post
Megil Tel-Zeke
"hmm seems fair enough. But what desire have you to destroy this mage since he has done nothing against you?" Megil asked trying to figure out the real motive behind Anthanes the mage
Dantrag
"He wants young maidens, Megil, leave him alone." Sel said.
BobV
"Well, a powerful mage with evil intentions who doesn't happen to be a mages' guild member is a threat to the greater interest of the 'Guild, therefore as Evoker of the Guild it is my duty to eliminate him."
And get promoted by doing so.

Anthanes smirked at Sel. "Well, that is not my -primary- goal, but it is a pleasant side effect."
Megil Tel-Zeke
Though not satisfied Megil dropped the topic.
BobV
"Why is it that part of adventuring seems to involve around prying into other's backgrounds and private lives, anyway? I've never seen the appeal in that."
gamer10
"Celia, " Niran looked at her kindly, "Could I have a word with you?"
Dantrag
OOC: beating Sel to the punch, eh?
Megil Tel-Zeke
"well seems to me that if you are going travelling with a band of people, it is better to at least know something about them, that would help explain some of their actions."
gamer10
OOC: beating Sel to the punch, eh?
OOC: Heck yeah. tongue.gif
BobV
"Hm...That is true. I'm not very interested in the life stories of others, though...Never really been. My own is bad enough."

With that, Anthanes went over to the bar to order another glass of flin.
Dantrag
"Alright, Megil. I'll play along. What do you want to know about me?" Sel asked.
BobV
Anthanes sighed. Here we go...

He took out a book, leaned back into the chair, and began reading comfortably.
MerGirl
(OOC: So sorry! *blushes* Ultra-long post)

During much of the arguments and confessions and everything, Celia kept quiet. She was also feeling miserable and embarrassed with all of the hatred among the party members. She also felt annoyed with Konrad for treating her the way he does. And also a little angry with Niran's outburst and talk of his background.

Who does he think he is, thinking he has a right to treat Sel this way? She thought bitterly. And who does he think he is, thinking he is the only one who's lost someone important?

Her eyes started to tear as she thought of Arco. Konrad was very rude regarding her companion's death, treating it as if were something small and unimportant. To her, it was! Konrad wasn't there when the originally small group had fought all those demons back in Cyrodiil, nor had he shared their struggling back then.

And home? Home in Cyrodiil will never be the same again!

Feeling homesick, anger, as well as plain misery, Celia was not in the mood to talk with certain people. One of which was Niran, who had asked if he could talk to her just then.

"No, I do not wish to talk you, Niran!" She snapped, her eyes still streaming, her voice raising. "In fact, I wish you do not talk to me ever again!" She dashed outside of the tavern. Maybe some fresh air would help calm her nerves.
gamer10
Niran looked after Celia then took off after her.

"Wait Celia!" He caught her by the arm and turned her around.

"Celia, if I upset you in anyway I'm sorry. Okay, please don't cry now." He said.
(OOC: Sorry about that.)
Dantrag
Sel watched the events wide-eyed. He forgot all about his conversation with Megil.

He had never seen such a mixture of emotions come out of Celia - it was anger and sadness all at once.
BobV
Anthanes looks up from his book, smirking.

So, it would seem the homicidal maniac feels something for the rather agreeable altmer, but she does not for him, not at all. To be expected, really.

Anthanes chuckles a bit and continues reading.
MerGirl
Celia tore her arm from Niran's grip. "Don't touch me! I do not wish to look at you nor Konrad ever again!" She stalked away, wiping her tears with her skirt. "Just... leave me alone..." She grumbled softly, her voice shaking.
Dantrag
"Leave her alone, Niran." Sel ordered. "She wants time alone - I understand, as do you."
gamer10
Niran refused to leave her alone, instead he walked in front of her and walked backwards as she walked forwards.

"You've joined the rest of them, I see. Let's all go on hating Niran right."
BobV
Anthanes put away his book and walked over to them.

"sigh...Nonbattlemages. Would the lot of you stop thinking with your hormons and your blades and start thinking with your brain?"

as far as they have one that is.

"Thank you in advance."

The Battlemage does not leave, but stays at the scene, observing.
Dantrag
"Niran. Stop it, give her time to sort through her feelings." Sel reiterated, ignoring the battlemage. "You're acting like a child."
MerGirl
Celia glanced gratefully at Sel. "Thank you for understanding." She tried smiling a small smile, but the easy smile faded away quickly.

She raised her eyebrows at the battlemage. "Er, hello?"

Then, she turned to Niran, her face determined. "No, I think we should sort this out right now, right here!"

Her cheeks reddened. "I thought you of all people would act better... would understand that other people are mourning for their own loved ones." She stood up straight. "Sel and I are some of them, and do you treat him with more respect? No! You keep talking down to him, as if he was a naughty, bad boy. Sillly Dunmer he may be, but not bad! So, I ask you," she said, her face stern, "why do you treat my good friend this way?"
BobV
Anthanes sighed.

Maybe I'll try and get some sense in them during the next get-to-know-you session. Typical, really.

He sat down on whatever place useful for sitting down happened to be nearby, and continued observing, a smirk on his face.
gamer10
Niran looked at her, actually more sadened by her statement that angry. Then he step back and turned away from her. After thinking he turned back.

"It's been unfriendly glares and comments ever since I came with all of you," he said addressing everyone "You knew there was some reason for my unfriendliness, but none of you ever cared. So Celia, actually it is I who thought you might understand me. I was wrong again."
Megil Tel-Zeke
OOC: sorry Rl (real life) called.

IC: Megil was startled by Celia's sudden outburst, the quiet altmer who he had been observing this whole evening suddenly spoke for the first time since...he had met her. Megil could tell she was really suffering with the partie's loss. Unfortunetly lacking any knowledge in the matter or real acquaintance, megil sat back and watched the scene.
Dantrag
"Damnit, Niran!" Sel said standing up. "Nobody cares?"

"You just don't want to be cared for, Just let Celia sort out her feelings, and I'm sure we can sort all this out."

"She needs time alone, that's all."
BobV
Anthanes remained calm as he observed the whole situation, though getting ready to cast some Calm Person spells should the need arise.

And this is why I prefer not to dabble in emotional affairs.
MerGirl
Celia stood there, shocked at Niran's words. "Niran... I understand how you feel. I adored Arco, but I do not treat people the way you do. Look around at the group, Niran! The others had terrible, terrible things happened to them... Yet, I do not see them disrupting the peace or hating others because of their past pains and suffering!"

She paused. "Look at Shakur. He's a werewolf for goodness sake! Yet, I do not see him hating others. Or look at Sel. He's lost some loved ones. Yet, he does not treat others like that, either."

She gestured to herself. "And look at me. I have lost two good, kind companions, and maybe even my parents during the demon attacks on Cyroodiil." She took a deep breath. "Do I hate people for that? No. Because they are not responsible. Sel is not responsible. Serene is not responsible. You are not responsible..." She shook her head sadly. "Maybe this is not getting through to you, after all."
gamer10
"Don't compare to any of you!!!" he took a breath "I'm not the same as you, damnit I'm a totally different race to begin with!"

"I can't sort this all out Celia, it's part of my life that can never leave me."

He turned and started walking away from the group towards Cyrodiil.

(OOC: Sorry mergirl, didn't see you.) kvright.gif
Megil Tel-Zeke
a tear ran down megil's facce as Celia finished her retaliation to Niran's insult. He could tel out of the whole group that he had met, she was one who also cared about the relationships between others and not selfish about hers. Without realizing it he apologized to Anthanes for no trusting him, stodd up walked across the room, put his hand on Niran's shoulder and said softly,

"She's right you know, she's right" he then went upstairs to the room he had rented and shut the door.
Dantrag
Sel followed Niran out the door.

"What was that all about?" he asked.
BobV
Anthanes keeps a straight face. They seem to have a tendency for dramaticizing. And he didn't trust me? Well, I guess I never realized that.

Anthanes sat there, looking at Celia who was about the only remaining person as though wondering about her next action.
gamer10
Niran swivels around, and stares at Sel.

"What was what about? Are you deaf!!"
BobV
OOC: If someone's got a post reserved for them and he/she logs out, can you continue posting?
Dantrag
"No I am not." Sel replied. "Nor am I blind. If you would only listen for one second...Celia didn't mean those things, she is overwhelmed by the deaths of Falx and Arco, and the uncertainty of her parents' lives...you blame Celia for not understanding, when you were not exactly understanding yourself."

He started walking back to the eight plates.

"It's your choice whether or not you stay - make the choice you won't regret."

Sel sat back down once he got inside.

"Being a mediator is tiring." he muttered under his breath.
MerGirl
(OOC: Slow as ever. Well, goodnight! See you much, much later tomorrow!)

Celia felt numb and confused, her anger melting slowly. She bit her lip and tilted her head. She stayed silent for several momements. "Huh," she commented after awhile, slowly becoming her old self. She glanced at the battlemage. "What does my race have to do this? I mean, Arco was a Dunmer and Falx was an Imperial..." Her bitterness slipping away, she shrugged and smiled at the battlemage. "I'm a little tired right now, so could you please tell the others that I'm going to rest here?"

She slowly walked up the steps towards the rooms, still confused. She mumbled to herself. "What does race have to do with anything?"

(OOC: To Dantrag. Mergirl as in young mermaid. I never knew about the whole 'mer' = 'elf' until way after I registered here.)
Dantrag
Sel gave the barkeep enough money to cover Celia's room and a few flins for himself.

He popped open the first bottle.

"Sweet relief." he said.
BobV
Anthanes nodded absently. He walked over to the barkeep, paid some gold to rent a room for the rest of the day, and began tinkering with his alchemy equipment making several more of the potions that dealt fire damage, as they had proven to be of some use back then in Ald'ruhn.

Hmm...I can't just call them 'potions of fire damage' ... what about 'grenades' ? That'd work...

OOC: Logging for now. If the group goes anyway, Anthanes will come with them, prolably mumbling about someone having to keep them alive.
gamer10
Niran sat about 200 feet from the tavern. He thought.

What next, Celia why couldn't I say it

OOC: I probably have to go now too, goodnight.
Dantrag
What next, Celia why couldn't I say it
OOC: maybe because you were getting yelled at?
gamer10

What next, Celia why couldn't I say it
OOC: maybe because you were getting yelled at?
OOC:Ohhh, you're very perceptive. I didn't know that.
Kuukulgur
Shadow had taken cover as fast as he could when the battle began. He had no weapons with him, as he had really rushed into things and was very mad about that. When the battle was about to get rough, he sneaked out and ran as fast as he could towards the Mages Guild. This time he was in such a hurry that he didn't even notice to close his eyes for the teleportation. The way to his home for the weapons and back to the Ald'Ruhn Mages Guild passed extremely fast. He didn't remember running that hard since, well, ever... And he liked it that adventuring with its pros and cons was already beginning to affect him.
When he got back to the Eight Plates, he noticed the same guy who used to be paralyzed sitting just outside the tavern.
"Cheers, what are you doing here?" he asked, surprised. "Why won't you go in? Is the battle over?"
BobV
Some time later, Anthanes came of his room, satisfied. Buying himself a glass of flin, he went over to Sel and joined him.
Dantrag
Sel noticed that Anthanes had joined him.

"So...." he began, not able to think of a topic.
BobV
"So, when exactly are the lot of you intending on moving onward?"

Prolably as soon as the homicidal maniac gets over getting turned down...If he still follows the group. Let's hope not.
