Looks like there won't be any advanced PM system like it is on Beth (or here). All I can see is the chat function which remained from the first version but not an actual PM feature.

I only use the Beth forums for PMs these days, especially since they moved the FO section to Bethesda.net where it unfortunately 'died'. I doubt I'll be active on the new forums even when they launch in full.

Since Bethesda.net will be the only source for XBox1 mods, I'll probably post mine there once converted to SSE, and that will mean monitoring the forum there for feedback.
I note that there are more XB1 mods than PC there, implying that some mod-makers are using only the Nexus for the PC versions. I think I'll do that, too. I don't want to move off the Nexus, and supporting the same copy in two places would be a pain.

How do you convert them for the XB1? Isn't it a different code language, etc? I mean, what do you have to do for your mods to work on the consoles?
And by the way, that is exciting that people are already clamoring for your mods to be converted, congrats !!!

It's just a question of saving for XBox1 from the CK. It has extra options on the File menu for that. I've haven't yet worked out whether it's a "save and upload" or "save for upload".
There are also more menu options for the PC, one of which appears to include uploading to Bethesda.net. They may be "just save the esp", and "save the esp, and update my Load Order" or something similar, as you have the ability to launch the game for testing from inside the CK.
PC's and Xbox use the same CPU architecture, and PS4 may also, as that changed from PS3. But the mod files don't have any code that's compiled down that far. The pex files are interpreted by a Papyrus run-time, just like Java can run on any machine. PS4 has a bit extra to do for graphic conversion (no DirectX on PS4), but that's done as part of the save process.

So, does this mean you don't have to actually change anything about the mods, just load them up to the Bethnet site?

I don't know what the CK is doing differently, but no, I don't need to change anything, however ...
The CK will "fix" things that are different in SE, so there's still some work to do finding out what happened when it loaded up. It made poor Uzi's little head explode, until I found the change to the mouth she was using. It uses a new nif format, and saves the FaceGen data for you automatically (using that new format), so I had a lot of work opening and re-saving before her head was saved properly.
I still have to wait before I publish that piece, as it would be cruel to let people adopt her before she can live at the Stronghold. That part needs Hearthfires Multiple Adoptions, which hasn't been ported yet, possibly because it needs SKSE64.
I'm working on Argonian Hearthfires now. So there's a Spreads-her-Thighs for Special Edition, who's struggling up to level 14 so she can do all the quests.

The primary site and the mods server use one avatar image, but the new forums have another. At some point, I need to get them reconciled, but in the meantime, Diablita's getting some air-time.
I'm amazed at the rate that XBox users are downloading mods. Bosmer Heartfires has just about caught up to the total downloads on PC, old and new combined!
What I don't like about the Bethesda mod site is that I can't link to the Fake Wiki for the extra information that won't fit in the 2500 word description. I'm not happy about the way the "box-cover" image gets cropped from its already small 260x260 when displayed. It's hard to figure if title text will show properly. And why 1315x740 for screenshots? That's a strange size to pick, that doesn't get used for anything else.
Notifications are a bit of a flood, too. There may be ways of turning some of it off, but I need to distinguish questions that need answering from like/rating/follow stuff that needs no response.
Edit: And it's now PC- 146+50=196; XB1-926 for the Bosmer one. Similar numbers for the others.

Don't they teach logic in schools any more?
There's a thread over at Bethesda.net that claims that all crashes are caused by shortage of memory, "because when I run out of memory, it always crashes".
I replied that logic doesn't work like that. The Ancient Greeks understood that; I am ancient, therefore I am Greek, and I understand. It's only logical.

Well, Khajiit got to where he was tired of discussing speculation on new games and was primarily posting in the community discussion forum. He never felt as comfortable there as he does here with sharing his characters' goings on either. If they get a community discussion forum over there, this one will probably still post regularly, but until then Chorrol will be Khajiit's one and only Bethesda game forum.

Participated with some regularity in two Beth-centric forums since my arrival here, then added a third to give bethesda.net a fair shake. The count now stands at two again. Whether two or three or however many, for the most part my contributions can be copied and pasted from one forum to next with little to no alteration. Yes, they are equally incoherent wherever you chance upon them.
I once prepared a good many posts beforehand in my word-processor of choice, giving them thought and polish before seen online. Alas for all parties concerned, those days seem all but behind me. I just don't often possess the mental energy and/or sticktoitiveness I once did. I almost always wing it these days, subjecting all and sundry to my many brain farts and honest flubs.
On a slightly sad note, I moved the now defunct official forum from its second-spot position on my Firefox "new tab" link page. For the time being it remains in a lower position. But the link page houses only twelve sites. When next something new needs a spot on the page, the "good old" forum is the logical link to remove. Maybe I'll feel less nostalgically attached to the old forum by then.
