Morvayn, who was holding a cache of items for her, and was supposed to be providing her with further information, proved to be infuriatingly tight-lipped, not only about Kallis' next move, but also about the part where the cache that was left for her - (for which he was *very* well paid) - appeared to be empty but for a few quivers of arrows...
Apparently in this country one can't, even allowing for one's status, summarily execute people who have "displeased" one, even if they have done quite deliberately, and shown a woeful ignorance of a contract to boot...

And Kallis does the rounds of Anvil, searching for anything that might provide her with some clue, or indeed anything, for that matter...

Finally, after no small amount of traipsing and only after Kellis' irritation levels were about ready to peak, she met a beggar by the name of "Olvus".
"Ye look someone else I saw once..." says he, gesturing vaguely at her .
"Rillee..." Said she, not holding out much hope.
"Aye." He says, squinting at her through the rain, his rheumy eyes watering and wavering. "An' I might remember too, if I'd enough fer maybe some soup, or something..."
Following a transaction which, if correct, suggested to Kallis that soup in Anvil was extraordinarily expensive, the beggar told her that her remembered seeing a woman, a bit like her and with armor like hers, though slightly paler of skin, heading north and east, and couple of years ago, up towards an inn called "Brina Cross"...
It wasn't much, but it was more than she had, so Kallis resolved to follow the trail, at least to there. She had a map, but that was stolen from her belongings on the harbourside. As far as she knows, the road from Anvil eventually leads to the Imperial City. Everything flows to the city, in any land, so it's a start, she thinks...
On the way out of Anvil, one of those wierd Kat Things they have in Cyrodiil tried - (and failed) - to rob her. Curious about these... Kagits...? She took a closer look.
Very strange...

It's still raining.
