Renee is a corporate gaming spy! It does make me wonder what it taking Bethesda with their next game. It has been two years since they were done with Skyrim and its dlcs. Yet still no Fallout 4!

They are supposed to be doing the big reveal of Fallout 4 at E3 this summer.

It will be cool if something does come out for E3. But it doesn't really matter for me. I still haven't finished NV or Skyrim yet. I need more bloody time as it is... biggrin.gif

When I am playing heaps of Beth gaming I find that I rarely have visual dreams about the games. But damn that music score and sound effects that Mark puts in the game. I regularly wake up with the music pounding in my head.

Which is badly needed. The older I get the more I forget things. But if I wake up with Beth music playing I immediately know what I need to do when I get up!

One of the first things that happened to me after beginning playing Oblivion was what you just said - hearing the music while I sleep; and dream of searching for Nirnroot, lol.

I'm with both of you on that! There have been many versions, but This is still the Elder Scrolls theme for me.

And This one keeps popping up in my dreams.

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Mar 10 2015, 12:10 AM) *

This reminds me that I had a TES dream a few nights ago. Well, half TES, half Fallout. I was dreaming about a pair of animated skeletons, the same as in Oblivion. But they were carrying miniguns from Fallout 3. One had a regular minigun, the other a gatling laser. They were walking around shooting things. I never saw what, and have no idea why. That is all I can remember of it.

Just give this idea to Michael Bay, he´ll turn it into a 2 hour movie somehow tongue.gif

Rein of the Septims is it for me. It is both grand and noble, yet gentle and peaceful. I can always hear this in my head. I can never remember the music from the other games. They sound good when I listening to them, but once they are no longer playing, I cannot remember a single note.
Acadian
I'm with SubRosa. Sometimes I hit 'play' for either Oblivion or Skyrim and just let the opening theme stuff run for 5 minutes or so as background. Both are grand scores. I do like that if you listen to the Skyrim theme for a time, it goes into a tribute to Morrowind by echoing the Morrowind theme as well.

I had a Fallout dream last night. It was walking through a town filled with old 50s and 60s style brownstone buildings, going up three stories each. Some were really long, filling entire blocks. Others were just maybe thirty or forty feet wide. It was night, and I was walking toward the edge of town.

I heard a commotion up ahead of me, and saw a Deathclaw pouncing upon two people in the road leading out into the countryside. I was unarmed, just an ordinary person, so I turned and ran. I didn't yell or raise an alarm, because I knew that the Deathclaw would finish those two in moments, and if it noticed me, I would be next. I was lucky, and after it killed them it ran right past me, in the same direction I had been fleeing toward.

I looked ahead, and saw it join another Deathclaw that was climbing up the wall of a single brownstone house right in front of me. I turned and ran in another direction, and came to a long block of brownstones. The entire thing was crawling with Deathclaws. They were everywhere, on the roof, scaling the walls, breaking into windows. It was complete chaos. People were screaming and being torn apart.

That is when I woke up.
Renee
That's horrible. That one started out okay, but I bet you were terrified at the end. Always feel good to wake from one of those.
mirocu
Geez, that wasn´t a nice dream sad.gif Could have used some MIRVs there I think. Couldn´t you have flipped up the console and equipped yourself, Rosa? tongue.gif laugh.gif
Grits
That is terrifying. And I’ve never even seen a Deathclaw. blink.gif
SubRosa
Deathclaws are aptly named
Renee
Yeah they're horrible. A dethclaw took out one of my FO3 characters a couple years ago.

On the other hand, my current FO3 guy had a deathclaw running toward him the other day. He aimed his rifle (no VATS) and shot the thing in the head. BOOM. He missed his first three shots, but when he made that final one, somehow he got lucky and took the deathclaw out with one shot, and with a measly hunting rifle, too.
Grits
Oh my gosh. They really are horrifying.

I do have a dream to report, but it only lasted about two seconds. Jerric was at my stove flipping pancakes. I was standing to his right and could only see his very hairy right forearm and a hip, but the shape of the rest of him was there in that kind of dream-vision where you can’t see details. He was shirtless (big surprise) and wearing ragged trouser colored pants. It was morning because the sunlight was coming in my kitchen window and sort of shining on his arm hair. As soon as I thought holy crap, that’s Jerric I woke up. It doesn’t make much sense because he was a real person and not a game person, but I knew it was Skyrim Jerric.
Renee
He hee smile.gif Yea, sometimes you just sort of 'know' this person is supposed to be your character. It's like the dream pre-loads this information for us.

I'd like to have a Jerric dream some day. *whistles*

Had sort of a Resident Evil dream this night. Killed a couple of monsters and then nothing more really happened. It had an eerie feeling but it wasn´t a nightmare, just one of those dreams. Funny thing too since I´ve never played those games laugh.gif

Whoa, RE, eh? I loved that game. The original one, anyways, with the funny camera angles. Definitley one of my Top 10 favorite games.

I guess I used the stuff I use irl; a household cleaner and q-tips. You´re right about using alcohol though, I think most people who clean these games use that.

This night I had several dreams, one after another. Quite interesting ones but the best was the one where I was a bicycle deliverer in London! laugh.gif You know, one who uses that bicycle that doesn´t have any brakes. Instead you have to pedal backwards to slow down if you have to.

Sorry for not writing about a game dream, Ms Off-topic Renee! hehe.gif

Had another Fallout 3 dream!! IPB Image IPB Image

Short one though, and it was mixed up with another dream. I was in some low ruins shooting on Talons with my Vulcan minigun but there was something wrong. In real life gaming that thing can eat up a Deathclaw in 2 seconds but it basically did nothing on the Talons. And for some reason an old friend turned up with a board game and it was implied that it could solve my problem tongue.gif wacko.gif laugh.gif

There was also a cute girl somewhere but she ignored me, so I´m beginning to think it wasn´t a dream after all rollinglaugh.gif

I've never had any dreams about any characters - not even Maxical; but I have dreamed of Oblivion, walking along the shore of the Rumare or Niben looking for Nirnroot and hearing the music playing (mainly because I fell asleep playing the game and so was actually hearing the music, lol).

I've fallen asleep playing Fallout 3 and fallen through a gap in the bridge - heard the death music playing and woke up, lol.

Renee
Hooray mirocu! cake.gif That made me smile about the board game. smile.gif

Yah, I can see dreaming about Cyrodiil, it's a good place to go. I wonder if anybody has any Shivering Isles dreams?

I had an awful dream last night, it was very long, and had nothing to do with gaming, but a friend of mine jumped off a building. She survived the jump (somebody caught her 20 stories below) but it was stilll freaky and frightening.

I think dreams like that mean something; like maybe this person is about to take the next step in a relationship and you are worried about them making a huge mistake or something.

Dreams like that reflect a reality that is not ever the exact thing you dream, but a symbolic indicator of the issue that is most important to your subconscious at the time.

They can be prophetic; but the prophecy is not the actual dream (the prophecy that can come true is the symbol the dream represents; not the dream itself).

mirocu
Yeah, sounds like someone is about to take a big risk but ultimatley it will be alright smile.gif
Renee
I know what that dream was about, actually. She's trying to decide whether or not she should move back west. She's a west-coast gal. mALX, you might know the difference between west coast (laid back) and east coast (more guarded and not quite as friendly) since you live in America.

Anyways, she's never felt at home here, and she's probably going to move back west. I hope she does. She has no idea what'll be in store for her when she gets back there, no job, no where to go, that sort of thing. But I think the guy catching her represents the fact that she'll be okay.

She's got the best Luck, anyways. If we could put this into Attribute terms, her Luck would be rather high. Certainly over 60. laugh.gif

Yeah, your subconscious is worried about the decisions she is making. The leap is obvious - she is opting to make the risky change. Falling is always fear of the unknown future. Someone else catching her - you are right, in your mind this man will save her from the risky part of her decisions. (that doesn't mean he will, only that your subconscious believes he will).

But it all boils down to that you are worried about her and this decision she is making. You must be very close to her and are internalizing her fears - making them your own.

Renee
Thanks, that helps actually. Sometimes it helps if somebody else interprets, since you're not as emotionally involved as I am.

I had a Kahreem dream the other day, but it was one of those which I don't remember much about. Dang. I really want to meet him, and remember doing so. But I think I WAS him in the dream. That's usually how these things work.

Yeah, well I studied dream interpretations as an elective in college, lol. (truth). Horses are sex, water of any kind means you probably need to wake up and make a trip to the restroom, lol. (and the more water you see or if it is moving, the quicker you better make that trip too, lol).

Had a minor dream the other week and forgot to mention it here. It wasn´t much, I was climbing along some building and was constantly on the lookout for stuff to pick up. Eventually I saw some various small objects I knew was good for selling for caps laugh.gif

But then something else came up and the Fallout part was over kvleft.gif
Renee
That's how a lot of mine are. They will feature bits and pieces of our games, but it's rare I'll have a full-fledged in-game sort of dream. They happen sometimes, not often enough though. I wonder if that's a good thing?

Renee
I just had one of the most interesting dreams ever. Very Twilight Zone-ish. Quite long, but I will try to bring it down. I am still bleary with sleep as I write this

I was travelling alone, not sure where I was. But I wound up at some house, and liked the guy I met who was living there. Dang, see, already some details are slipping. Anyways, I met this guy there, he's living in this huge old house, full of all sorts of books and whatnot. I fell in love with the place immediately. We start chatting, me and this guy. He's sort of college-aged.

I got the impression that he lived in the past, and I mean turn-of-century past (1900, not 2000). He seemed to think he lived in the past, too. But then I noticed a lot of his books were not really from the past, and the clothes he was wearing looked rather modern. I let the matter slip.

As I am walking through his house, other people begin to show up, all very nice. I really liked everyone I met. Some are children, some are my age. My own child was not with me though, neither was anybody else I currently know in my everyday life. But that was okay. I figured I would stay with these people awhile. And they were okay with this. Everything was cool.

We did some running around their yard, which was very bizarre. Their yard went up above the house, I mean way above. I am afraid of heights, so it took me awhile to come back down, but then I was telling the guy (the host I initially met) that I noticed my fear was not so crippling this time. In no time, I had come down from this huge hill, and was back in the house.

At some point, now it is some sort of dinner time. Everybody is in the house, and I mean at least 20 people, all gathered together having a good time. I had lost my clothes at some point, and was freaked about this, but eventually I found them, and nobody noticed anyways.

Now it gets interesting. Outside the house, a man was working on some old car, which was nice & gleaming, lots of chrome, even underneath. The car was in the air, and the man was under it. A bunch of people (children mostly) ran outside to look. Then all the sudden, the car FELL on the man, and I am FREAKING OUT, but nobody inside the house does much of anything. I'm like "is there a phone? We need to call 911". Nobody really does much of anything. I look outside, and the people outside are still there, and the man gets out from under the car. His face is all bruised, but he stands right up. Apparently he did not get crushed.

But still, nobody in the house makes a move. I look at them, they're all just sitting there, stonewalled. Then I noticed the all the people outside, the man, the children, they're gone. They all disappeared.

I go to the door, to go outside, and somebody warns me "don't go out there." And I'm like "what are you crazy, we have to go out!" Nobody does anything. So I'm like screw this. I go outside, while somebody warns me again, but I just had to go out.

Nobody is out there now, and the car is gone, too. I go running around the spot where the man's car was. As I run around, there's a tree there now, and an old Maya Angelou-ish looking lady is sitting on a bench in front of this tree. I turn to face her. As I turn to face her, I actually knew what was going on. I knew the mystery of the dream, and I knew it was a dream.

"Maya" is sitting there, not smiling, looking rather smug. She's got a couple objects in her hands, one of them is this huge cane, which looks sort Egyptian. I grab the cane from her. I start pointing it at her, unafraid (maybe this is all my videogame bravery coming through here!), and taunting her, like some sort of magic is about to happen, just because I say this, and point my cane at her. She just sits there.

Now she raises the other object in her hand, which is also some sort of cane. Points it at me. As she does so, I realized what was about to happen: the dream now ends.

And that's the mystery. If you go outside when something "weird" happens, the dream ends. wacko.gif I feel like those people inside that house (who seemed so real) are still stuck in the dream somewhere, just like in a Twilight Zone episode.
mirocu

It always amazes me how you think out the elements of your roleplay for each character and then somehow manage to bring it to their game! This is Awesome, thank you for the info!

Renee
I had one this morning that was pretty scary!

Was walking along in a town that looked just like Pleasantville, USA, you know, all the lawns perfectly mowed, smack-dab in suburbia. Wasn't really paying much attention to anything. At one point I slipped and fell, and as I fell I grabbed for something to break my fall. Wound up grabbing the top-end of a picket fence, which broke in my hand. So now I'm carrying this top-end of a fence, sort of like a stake. And in the dream, I began thinking of one of my characters in TES IV: Oblivion, who just accepted some elaborate vampire quest. I realized that the stake would work perfectly for perma-killing vampires.

I continue walking up some street. All the sudden, a half-dozen figures came out of nowhere, crowded me from the front, and I knew what they were, and I was done. panic.gif Flight or fight, there it was, and either method would be useless. The "weapon" I was carrying was no good. At that moment, I realized that the sky had gotten just dark enough for them to emerge. They looked more like Twilight vampires than Cyrodiilic vampires, but the motivation for them showing up at all seems to come from what my elf has been up to lately.

It was pretty darn frightening, but I woke up immediately, thank goodness!
mirocu
I gotta say, Renee. That sounds like a perfect metaphoric dream; USA going from its nice and comforting ´50s feel to its present state... mellow.gif
SubRosa
Sounds like you were in Tranquility Lane! Were the vampires sparkling? laugh.gif
Renee
Uh oh.... looks like we got a bot alert. indifferent.gif

Funny you should bump this thread though, I do have a rather bizarre dream to share. I had it yesterday.

In real-life, my family is dealing with my uncle's old house. He was a pack rat; a hoarder. He would buy stuff stuff, literally buy all sorts of things and never use them. This includes tools, regrigerators (plural), comptuers, laptops, laptop cases, all sorts of random stuff. He was bi-polar, and I believe somewhat scizophrenic. And he was MEAN sometimes, although this depended on what day it was. But he was a hoarder, like I said. When we were going through his house a couple months ago, apparently my mom found a Logitech G930 wireless headphone set...perfect for gaming, even though he wasn't a gamer. wacko.gif I also got a couple free flatscreen TVs. Score for me, and score for my daughter!

Anyways, my dream. I was in some old Baltimore rowhouse, it was dark inside, apparently the electricity had been shut off. This place did not look exactly like my uncle's place, but the implication is that it was his place (he died recently). I don't remember the specfics, but some members of my family and some other people were outside at one point. I was the only one in the house, and it was empty of things.

Here's the weird part. I don't remember what exactly happened, but at some point I felt a "presence" inside the house. And I began to wonder if this presence is Sarah Phimm, one of my newer Oblivion characters. So I call out her name: "Sarah, are you here?" .... and I don't know if it was her, but somebody then picked me up.

I began to float around the dark room, and I felt that I was being moved around by some sort of spirit. Whether it was Sarah, I don't know, but she did respond to me calling her name. I never heard her speak though.

I was mostly awed, but also very slightly scared too. This dream was not lucid, but it felt VERY real. I felt like this spirit or whatever was a gentle being, but you know.... I'm not used to being carried around by a ghost! indifferent.gif AT some point, I decided it was time for me to be on my feet again, and also go outside, so I said "Hey Sarah, can you open the door for me? I want to go outside now." And she did. She put me down, and opened the front door for me. And I went outside, looking at my family and whoever else was out there, thinking WOW if only they knew.

Later on when I woke up, I was pretty disappointed. I've discovered I want a ghost-friend, and returning to Earth without one bummed me a little. On the other hand, I also got goosebumps all over as I was typing my dream into a Notepad page on my computer.... like what if I start floating around my room here on Earth?
