Hmm, I think you should be able to find the Platinum Edition of NWN in the stores now. It has got the original NWN and both of the expansions.

Aslo, cdon.com has the three parts, only not the Platinum edition.

Jepp agree with Rane Minque... NWN is a little bit old but its a very good game, play it for the second time now. Just came to chapter 2

The Platinum Edition has two very good expansions! :goodjob:

It was released around the same era as Morrowind Its a D&D game following suit from the Baldur's Gate series with a nice, new engine (though Morrowind look muuuuch better ). Still its best asset is the incredibly easy to use (though somewhat inflexible) editor, so as well as the excellent expansion pack(s) there are some quality mods out there - especially if you're looking for a good, deep narrative in your adventures

Naah, it's single- and multiplayer. The original game and the expansions all come with a mainquest(official campaign) of their own that you can play offline on your own.

Then there's a lot of modules that are meant for singleplayer only as well.

True, a lot of the Persistant Worlds (servers) are full of... well... less mature people.

Still, there are good online worlds out there, as incredible as it may sound. I happened to be lucky enough to find one but unfortunately the world's creator eventually stopped playing NWN and with him gone the server was killed. After that I couldn't find a new one so I simply quit playing it online.

My family has been raised by English voice-overs in anime (Pokemon, Digimon, Sailor Moon, etc.),, so we're definitely used to it (though there are some voice-overs that are just unbearable). However, if there's one thing that I hate is when they butcher the series by altering and cutting scenes, etc. That can be just as bad or even worse than voice-overs (at least to me and some of my family members).

To Konrad and others: I have never played FFX, but I have always loved the artstyle and character design (Lulu and Yuna, in particular) of that game. I do not like Tidus too much, though...

Damn, you've got me fighting within myself as to whether FF7 or FF8 was better again.

I agree with you on the story and graphics, they were nice, but Tidus just ruined FF10 for me. The voice acting, while pretty competent, wasn't my cup of tea either (I'd rather have no voices at all). Maybe they should have made Kimahri the hero, he was cool .

Argh! Can't decide whether FF7 or FF8 was better, so I'll divide it up into sections.

Hero - Squall versus Cloud. Tough one, but I think Squall gets my vote since I really identify with his whole unsociable thing.

Other characters - Not sure. Maybe FF7 since Barrett was so damned funky.

Baddies - Can anyone beat Sephiroth? Don't think so. Some of the Shinra guys were pretty funny too.

World - FF7's world was a little more appealling to me. FF8 was a bit too westernised, and I loved Midgar.

Combat - FF8 came down to junctioning the best magics to attack and then owning people, while FF7 actually needed each person to have different configurations, so FF7 wins.

Story - Both good. The mystery surrounding Cloud was awesome, but the whole story behind Squall and his crew was interesting too. A tie.

In conclusion, I think FF7 wins in my book. Now why the hell have I just wasted all that time comparing those two games? *sigh*

One of these days... I'm going to just have to go out there, buy a PS2 and play some good ol' classic console games. Perhaps then I will know what people are talking about then when they say these odd words like 'FFVII' and 'Ico'...

Or I might wait another year or so until the PS3 comes out and then another year until it drops in price...

Dammit. Where are the PC/PS2 emulators when you need 'em?
