Well i just really like wolves, and i think the same can be said for Mazuk and Aki. I have no idea why the others have them though

Right now, my avvie is Garnet (at least I think so) from FFIX. I've only played a few hours of that game, but I thought it was sort of cute for FF game. Much different than the other FF games.


I liked a lot of the characters, especially Zidane and Garnet.

And I really liked that four (or was is it six?) armed guy in the alleyway who always mugs me of my money.

I would very much appreciate if you told me what FFIX is and a little bit about the game,I´m probably too old to know all of these games....and maybe too focused on morrowind and the expansions.....tham you in advance

It's funny, i havn't played FFIX yet. I've got VII, VIII, X, and X-2

I think it's not as... praised as much as FFX or FFVII probably because it's kind of... old-looking compared to those. It has cutscenes, but the characters look very cartoony compared to those in the other FF's. And the graphics are really old-looking. Not too old looking, but still kind of old. It was on PS1, if I remember correctly. Also, the characters are... kind of weird, I guess. Also, the combat is very simplistic and boring compared to the other FF's.

Er, but I'm rambling.
I'm just trying to figure out why many people don't like FFIX. *shrugs*

IMO, FFVII is the best FF game ever, and one of the best games ever. FFX is a close second for best FF game

I'm not into Final Fantasy VII, though I have played bits of it here and there... Then, I got too bored with Cloud. He got so annoying... I think that game is a bit over-rated.

I want a Final Fantasy in which I could play a female main character! :< And one that is NOT online (meaning not a MMORPG or whatever).

Right now, I think Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne is the best turn-based RPG besides Baten Kaitos. They're actually fun to play in combat. And I get much more choices (in terms of how the plot goes) in SMT: Nocturne! :lickinglips2:

Oh, speaking of which. I liked Final Fantasy X-2. A bit boring in combat, but not horrible. :ashamed: I have not played FFX, yet.

I love anime and Japanese style. I like some of those girly looking guys... You haven't see the bad guy (I think it was the bad guy) from FFIX. Now that was much too girly. :shocked: Then again, I played as the crossdresser from Guilty Gear X2, so it works out in the end.

I remember guilty gear. Still, I think there should be less attractive guys in video games. I don't mean fugly mcgee whom played with fire too much, I mean guys like Sam fisher (The original round face, not the new long one), Otacon and Solid Snake.

Damn, I've just been looking back through this thread and I may have to boycott FFXII with that girly-looking hero.

Anywho, addressing various points made since I last looked at this thread, in no particular order:

I think Squall is probably a little better than Cloud IMO; Yes, there should be more ugly middle-aged men as heros in games; I didn't play FFX-2 firstly because FFX was not particularly great, and secondly because it looked as if it didn't really have much of a serious idea behind it, just a bunch of girls running round in silly clothes.

The Cids and Auron come under that heading. So does Barret.
