Oh, now there are three assassins on the scene. (If Al is still around, that is.)

Hmm, three assassins, two that have proven to be way off the scale on badassedness and one with potential and the opportunity to learn from one of the two. You know, both the temple and the palace had better watch their backs. biggrin.gif

Although, I wonder what it means now that Rayne has 'defeated' Sethyas. Didn't she have a writ on him? Is that still in effect? Or.......geez I dunno.
The Metal Mallet
So Rayne makes a long overdue arrival. Nice to see those two playing "nice" I guess you could say wink.gif

Ahhhhahhaaa....Rayne's back? Great, now we're talking! As always she make's sort of a big entrance. I like that girl and I have a feeling Seth does as well. Can't wait to see where this is going, I foresee a lot.....mind you...

Then I naturally wonder.....but nope I'll be patient and wait..oh yessir I will.... wink.gif

Ah, a most enjoyable quest (and update). Nice to see Sethyas back in action.

Ohhhh...wonderful! My dear dear Seth is back again, I'm so glad I logged in here tonight. It's always a sheer pleasure to read about him.

I guess they're in trouble now..hmmm, they will of course sort it out, I have no doubts about that. What I also hope is that Rayne and Seth will get some more quality-time together.... wink.gif

O-o....now then? The sewers of Mournhold have always scared me, let them be safe....this Golena doesn't seem to be a nice person at all.

I want more Sethyas and Rayne!

Oh do you have pictures of Rayne? And more pics of darling Seth?

I'm glad they made it! But tell me how did Rayne get OK so fast? Does she have some kind of self-healing skills? Lovely update Blackie!

Now where do they go from here? Good question huh? wink.gif

Ehhh nope...I do not remember Golena at all because I never played Tribunal very far. But it's more than thrilling to read about it, especially about how Seth and Rayne will manage.

Ahhh, of course he didn't! I like the way this is proceeding....They are good for each other, Raynie and Seth...they bring out the good and decent manners...

For me I do not have a clue what will come next since I haven't played Tribunal....Therefore I'm eagerly awaiting the continuation!
mplantinga
It's very nice to see the return of Sethyas. The encounter with Golena is always a bit strange, mostly because she's totally bonkers. But the arrows are really nice; I usually find it impossible to resist the temptation to load up on them (even though I rarely, if ever, actually use them - I usually play a pure mage). The interaction between Rayne and Sethyas adds a new level of intrigue to this story, and makes it even more appealing. It seems to me, however, that it may eventually be necessary to deal with the realities of entanglement with an underling; I'm sure you'll create a suitably satisfying way to deal with that.

Ohhh an Adamantium Scimitar huh? Now that's something very special. Seth should have it, no doubt.

Hah I liked your description of Mournhold's virtues. Very nice! Now of course I'm curious of what happens next. And how Raynie and Seth will develop their relationship.

So even if I go on a trip on monday I'll really do my best to go online to read....there!!!

This "confrontation" between Sethyas and Fedris is quite tense, and I'm enjoying it immensely. I'm looking forward to seeing how it is resolved.

I was a little disappointed to see the matter of the adamantium scimitar more or less unresolved. It felt, to me, like we weren't quite finished with that at the end of the previous installment, but there was no mention of it in this one. Regardless, I'm hoping for a suitably amazing description of its first battle encounter.
minque
Brilliant Blackie! As Dr Planty said, Seth's conversation with Lexie's watchdog was a masterpiece! I wonder what it will lead to....

okay...so now they're off chasing goblins huh? I would be careful if I was Seth...or Rayne! yayy Blackie, more Seth please!

You're a poet Blackie! Or at least you write almost poetical. I loved this update, I love how you describe the goblins, heh in fact I didn't know anything about them and I enjoyed to learn from you here.

Then I like that Rayne and Seth are having discussions and that they do not always believe in the same things. It makes them both very sympathetic to me.

yeah yeah.....I'm in love with Seth.....say no more! tongue.gif

Sethy...tsk tsk...are you impressed by a large vicious army! tongue.gif Well yeah you would I suppose.

Now what I'm thinking is if Rayne will be partaking in the fight against Helseth. I mean ok she's a skilled assassin but she also is Seth's weakness, and the evil king could use that ...and he will!

I wonder.... wink.gif
The Metal Mallet
I'm caught up! And I have to say I'm quite impressed about what has happened since I've last visited. Excellent work my friend.

I stumbled upon this story (and this forum, by contrast) about two days ago, and I spent pretty much all of my free time reading the entire story up to this point. Hell, I even registered for the express purpose of following this story and commenting about it (though I might stick around).

Anycrap, I'd just like to say that this is one of the best MW walkthrough/fanfics I've ever read. I've always felt that a "traditional" narrative based on the story of Morrowind requires a good sense of the shrewdness and ritualism of Dunmer society, and the alien-ness of said society as viewed by outsiders. Y'know, a stranger alone in a strange and harsh land. Sort of a cross between Dune and Lawrence of Arabia. But I never really thought of the whole assassin angle, which I think is really what makes your story unique.

The quality of this story is making me want to actually FINISH the fanfic I started about four freakin' months ago...

Geez, I'm rambling, aren't I? Well, just consider this my roundabout way of saying "Keep up the good work, Blackie!"

Uhhhh..so you're just stopping after taking just two down, half of the bunch?

Evil, thy name is Blackie!

Oh I am quite sure Seth and Rayne will do a good job with the others, but but....

Knowing you there might be some, shall we say, extra spice to it.

So when's the next update coming up? tongue.gif tongue.gif

Ahh, nice to see Raynie do so well! To see that the female part of the two to be the one who really did the hard job! Ohhh of course Seth did too but ....mmmm Rayne really showed herself to be an assassiness(?!) to be counted on...

Sweeet!

Great work mate the only thing I can really say is that I wish you'd do longer updates but I understand completely about time constraints and priorities.

“Well. If we aren’t two very well-paid mercenaries!” Rayne exclaimed; running her fingers through the coins in the chest.

I stood in a corner, leaning against the wall, arms crossed. “Keep the gold, Rayne.”

She looked over with a perplexed look. “Don’t make offers that I’m not stupid enough to turn down. Fifty-fifty, come on. We’re partners!”

I shook my head. “It’s yours. I don’t need it, and you deserve no less for your assistance down there.”

She walked over slowly. “If that’s your way of saying thanks, let me say my thanks too.” Her walk towards me ending in an embrace and attempted kiss.

“What’s wrong?” she asked, pulling back as I moved my face to the side.

I faked a smile. “Nothing. Just a lot on my mind. You understand.”

“I do. I have 15,000 things on my mind!” she quipped.

“Then you go, and buy something nice for the place, for yourself, whatever, and I’ll use that time to clear my head.”

“Deal.” She said with a quick peck on the lips.

The pattern of being used was repeating itself. I did not take being used lightly, but I had seen with my own eyes was Helseth was willing to do, how far he was willing to go. The temple needed me, if at the very least my legend. The great Nerevarine who cast down Dagoth Ur with a terrible gaze, and an awesome cry. The great Nerevarine who could punch through Dwemer walls, and fell entire legions of Ash Ghouls with a stroke of his blade.

Both the Temple and the Monarchy wanted to exploit me. I wanted to be left alone. Perhaps such a thing was not possible, I was in to deep. Prophecy wove my path ahead of me, the aftermath of my choices were never far behind. If there was a light at the end of the tunnel, there would be bloodshed before I got to it.

The temple would keep me alive, so long as I proved useful. Helseth would seek to destroy me by any means. Of these options, I chose the one most beneficial to myself.

So within the passing of the moons, we were summoned to the Temple once more. This time, the Archcanon, Gavas Drin himself sought us out; as he had a matter that he felt we could assist with. That was getting a bit old.

I couldn't decide which lines to quote so I took it all! I really love this part, the conversation between them is so ....so gah, I can't find the proper words for it, but I have a feeling you sort of know what I mean. (You are a mind reader right?)

Ha! I usually just leave Dulni in the Archcanon's office while I dive down into the sewers and kill everything in my way. Much easier that way.

Nice update, as usual.

And the fans continue to grow! Thank you very much for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it more then you know, and I hope I will continue to deserve good comments.

You will Blackie! You will! I promise

I was amused by your writer's note on this last installment. I'm too much of a stereotypical "good guy" (read: boring) to actually consider killing Urvel just to move on, but it is a rather intriguing idea.

I must be having a dense moment, because I completely failed to understand the last sentence. It is not at all clear to me, as it obviously is to Sethyas, why the archcanon chose Urvel for this job.

Nice. The archaic grammar is painfully bad, though. It should be "Dost thou know" not "Does thee knowst." winkgrin.gif
minque
Uhhhh...creepy. I am scared of un-dead things and them bein un-life! brrrrrr! You described "it" very well, which in fact did not scare me less, hihi

I wonder ...will I find out how they manage this situation before I leave for Germany on friday morning????

hint hint! wink.gif
