Well, in the long run I plan on becoming a clinical psychologist. If Staples hired people under 18 I'd apply for PC Technitian before you could say "watoosi."
Saturday I DM'ed. This session went so much better. I lost two players, one for no apparent reason, the other is the immature jerk that enjoyed arguing with me. Oh well, I asked a guy who lives in Tulsa who I know will be delighted to join the online game.
I had some chocolate coffee while playing Silent Hill 4: The Room. Man I love that game.
My boyfriend wil be going to his college freshman orientation tomorrow and Tuesday.... sigh... seems awfully early and I'm so scared.
I have 100 dollars, and I'm going to spend most of it buying MtG cards for my boyfriend. >_< Amazing how easy I can spend money on others, but I'm hesitant to buy anything for myself, even stuff I need (lactase... clothes.... food).

Kind of reminds me of that cartoon in The Dragon- "Arguing with the DM always gets results..." and the drawing showed the party in a sling, being lowered into a pit of dragons.
Hang in there Wolfie! We are all pulling for you!
Instead of writing or being otherwise creative, I have been playing SPWW2 and fooling around with saws. Seems that, many years ago, Mrs. Treydog planted some corkscrew willows on the mistaken assumption that they were shrubs. They are now 60-70 feet tall and WAY too close to the house. And they shed. Constantly. Enter the intrepid Treydog with ladder, rope, and saw. Climb the tree, rope off a limb, cut through the limb (slowly and carefully), lower the limb onto the roof. Then start cutting it up- on the roof- in the 90 degree weather. Oh yes- do this on a day Mrs. Treydog is not home, so she won't worry about it. I need an easier hobby...

Well, all my finals took place before the end of May, thank goodness, including my bio final. I'm sure you'll do just fine.
I've been playing Sid Meier's Pirates, Civ. 2, and Battlefield 2, as well as exercising regularly and all that good stuff.

I wrote some last night. It wasn't much, but small progress is progress. I don't know what I'm waiting for, except to get done with it...
Today's been a lazy day. I woke up in the middle of the night with a crippling pain in my left leg. I don't know if it was a cramp or what. It was so painful it felt like I was going to puke. Yeah, that painful. I think I'll get some vitamins next time I go to the store. :/
I didn't go job hunting today like I thought I would. I had to do laundry, but I will tomorrow.

I've woken up to pain in my leg before too. In my case it feels like I pinched a nerve (if you've ever done it, you know it's quite painful) but fortunately you just have to flex your calf and it passes pretty quickly. But at first you're all confused about what's happening since the pain wakes you up.
When you pinch a nerve in your neck though. Those one just hurt and you can't really flex it out.

I've had a pinched nerve in my wrist before.... it's not the same sort of pain. I'd say it was worse.
Pisces
Jun 12 2007, 09:58 AM
I don't know if its a pinched nerve but I woke up with something which sounds like it could be in my neck once. It really hurt to move my neck and if I moved it too far I'd get a fairly sharp cramp-like pain which isn't plesant. Went to the doctor, got perscribed some pain killers and some anti inflamatories to allow me to move my neck around and it disappeared soon after. Not sure if thats a pinched nerve but it was an interesting experiance.
I have exams too. Starting on the 18th & 19th then the 29th & 30th. I will be glad when its all done, the exams are for issues in biosecurity (politics), NZ biodiversity and biosecurity (biology), diversity of life (biology, I'm repeating this one, its just rope learning which I'm not good at but I did much better in it so far than last year) and evolution (biology). Right now I am writing an essay on whether health threats should be included in the practice of national security in preparation for the politics exam.

The last couple of days have been a mixture of fun and torture. Starting, last Thursday, I started getting this really painful feeling in my stomach after I start eating or shortly after eating. This feeling carried on until Tuesday, where I felt great for the whole day and ate everything that was given to me. There was a carnivale at our school that day too.
So I had a fun time at the carnival, but I was out in the sun too much, so now I got sunburns on my arm. Fortunately, they aren't the seriously sore ones and just uncomfortable from time to time. I was also "recognized for my involvement with the school community" in an assembly. Basically they gave a bunch of us a little pin and a thank you card. During the senior assembly, since I'm a senior and know a lot of them, I decided to make an ode to my grade eight graduation. This ode is to trip up the stairs as you're walking up on stage. The reaction was great.
Of course, the torture element of my stomach pain arrived later Tuesday night. In a roaring fashion too. Today hasn't been much better, I only managed to completely eat breakfast (the only meal I have yet to have any real problems with). The heat exhaustion from today didn't help either so I came home today and basically tried to sleep. Of course in my room, the sun is still strong enough to heat my head as I lay in bed, so eventually I was forced to sleep width-wise on my bed. Of course, with the sunburns, I felt warm in the head and arms, yet my hands and feet were freezing. I couldn't finish one burger for supper before the gut pain came back. Hopefully this is just a virus and not an infection or anything serious. It sorta feels like I got terrible gas but I doesn't want to come out.
So tonight I'm going to take it easy, then tomorrow I'm just gonna stay at home and write my ISU for film and hopefully get into the school before 2:50 so I don't get late marks. I just don't have the energy to write it right now.

NM, I hope that stomach problem isn't anything incredibly serious. My boyfriend is friends with a guy who takes a buttload of pills because of a stomach disorder... thing. I can't remember what it is or what it's called. Leave it to me to remember some weird name.
I'll probably make someone jealous here but today I ordered 41 dollars worth of MtG cards for my boyfriend. I'll be getting the stamps and the money order tomorrow. Still have 59 bucks left (hopefully to spend on Half-life 2 for ecksbocks).
I went to my boyfriend's house today. <3 I love him so much, he makes me so happy. Dunno what I'm gunna do when he goes to OSU... other than try to make some swanky new friends.

I've been such a loner. I really need some real life friends, not that you guys are bad.
Woohoo, I have officially replaced both the guys who left.
I have two applications. I'll be turning them in tomorrow. Or the day after. My mommy has the day off tomorrow.... so what if I call her mommy, I wub her.

Wow, has anyone ever been chased by police, then come to find out that the police weren't chasing you but the guy in front of you?
Had to explain the "Obstruction of Justice" charge to a judge yesterday, and the cop was there, a certain Officer MacFarlane. He said there was no problem until I exceeded the speed limit (45 in a 25) near my work. He says he was going to turn on his lights, when a T-Top convertible just in time for the summer comes scooting down the road doing at least 60. Well, seeing the cop flip on his lights, and yours truly not seeing the T-Top, I pulled onto the road ( I had originally been in a subdivision of a neighborhood) and obeyed the speed limit until there was a safe place to pull over.
Well, the cop got out of his car and told me to step out of my car. I couldn't imagine what the problem was, so I admit, I was a little smug. He said, "You are aware of the Misdemeanor of Obstruction of Justice, correct?" Well, a short while later (about three days to be exact), I'm looking at a judge who could care less about anything. If my marijauna senses count for anything, I'd day that the judge was a pothead.
Anyways, judge made me pay a whopping $475 and I got four points on my license. Talk about Fair and Just. If I would have recieved the speeding ticket, it would have been around $300. Oh well, mierda occuren.

You know what, it says nothing about obstruction of justice on any misdemeanor list for my state (Indiana), maybe its a federal law.

As you know, I rarely post here. I rarely post on this forums for that matter. But I got something to share today that I experienced yesterday, so here goes.
I was at work yesterday morning, sitting next to a collegue of mine discussing a particular problem related to switching over a source code repository from CVS to Subversion (yeah, very interesting, I know) when the top boss of the company I work with passes, stops, turns around and asks me to come to a meeting in the late afternoon, without specifying what it would be about. I asked around, others were asked to come too, but nobody knew why. There were jokes being made about heads rolling, but quite honestly, most people had a rather bad feeling.
When the time drew nearer, things got hectic for a reason I can't go into. Anyway, at the appointed time we go down to the office of the top boss and there were already quite a few people there, everyone involved in the project I'm working on and I think I saw several people go "uh-oh" in their minds.
So what happens? We expect a chewing-out or a talking-to of the "Guys, we are in a crisis and you have to fix it! Right now! We're not leaving this room before this works!" kind. And then, something truely amazing happened.
The top boss broke out the cigars and booze.
Cuban cigars. Real honest expensive scottish whiskey. We sat there for two hours, smoking our cigars and drinking our whiskey, laughing and discussing and generally having fun. And all the time, we were getting paid for it. The top boss let us in on what was going on: a big success was achieved, and he 'blamed' it on our hard work and dedication, and thanked us for it several times.
Best. Meeting. Ever.

Well I certainly enjoyed my last day of high school. All I did today was go to first period to watch the ending of a movie with have to analyze on our exam. After that, I spent the rest of the day outside and just goofed off with my friends: did some human jousting, lots of photos (most of which look inappropriate

), and after school we went to my friend's place and we had a big waterfight. I can safely say everyone got soaked. After that we had some pizza, played some Ultimate Football (we used an American football because we couldn't find a frisbee), then went and had some bubble tea. Much fun was had by all, but all that sun left me pretty red on the face and neck to the point that I'm sore and tired.
All that's left is two days of exams, both days I have 2 exams which is annoying but at least I'm finished high school completely next Monday. Next, comes the interesting experience of college in a provincial capital.

I broke up with my girlfriend last night, mostly because I am really lazy.
Story goes, I was supposed to call her about when I was coming home, because a friend of hers was coming t stay with us. I was supposed to pick my gf up, then go to the airport and pick up her friend. Me being me, I forgot and arrived at my house with the two females steaming. They ended up calling a neighbor and the neighbor came to pick them up. I just dropped my head, and walked to my bedroom.
I laid in my bed, then "GF" came in and we had a huge fight, and I just stopped that right then and there. I told her that we should take some time off, and that we should keep talking. She stormed out, and her friend left with her. She hasn't said when she'll come take her stuff, but I feel really bad.

Maybe we can work it out..... I really felt a connection with her.
Oh and Stargel, congrats on the high class party amigo!

I actually had a decent breakfast of hashbrowns, peppered bacon, and pancakes today. Yay! I went to my boyfriend's and spent about 7 hours there. He had a minor migraine. We watched movies and cuddled as always. I had lunch over there, too (spaghetti, meat sauce, and cheesy garlic bread). I'm still full, and that was... well, between 2 to 3 hours ago.
It's almost the end of June, and it's the 21st. About two months until my boyfriend heads off for college.

I'm happy for him at the same time, but I'm going to be so sad when he finally leaves. Oh well, what can ya do. We agreed on this together, because it would be the best for both of us. He's going to go to college for four years and meet lots of new people. I, however, will be in college for 7+ years, and I'll have one year or so of internship. That's what I get for wanting to get a Ph.D to practice clinical psychology. So I have a job during grad school, I'm doubling my majors so I can also get a B.S. in Computer Science. I'll have an awesome job so I'll be able to support myself. I hate relying on others.
There is an opening for library page here. YES! I'm going to apply tomorrow at the library. I've been wanting to work at the library for soooo long!
PoS, more than likely you'll sort things out. Seems like you said that in the heat of the moment, and I can tell you being impulsive and hotheaded is not fun. In my near four years of being with my boyfriend I've said the dumbest, meanest things in heated debates and I always regret them later. She'll probably come around, and if she understands the situation I'm sure she'll try to work things out. How long have you two been together? I can tell you one thing, the longer you guys are together, the more understanding the person gets. I'm definitely not an easy person to deal with because of my.... err, psychological disorder, but my boyfriend no longer goes "WTF?" and stares when I'm having my episodes.

Well, I'm not a woman, and I
am a blockhead ... but here is my take on your situation anyway.
Essentially, she asked you to do something. You agreed (as far as I know). You forgot and didn't do it. These things happen: it is unfortunate but we
all make such mistakes periodically.
Right now, she is upset with you ... but the fact that she called you and asked you to see a movie indicates (to me) that she still cares for you and still wants to still be with you but (for whatever reason) is unsure as to how to go about communicating this to you. Her talking about her friend seems to me just a way to start/continue the conversation: ie, I see her thinking to herself "oh god I want to keep talking to him! Quick, self, think of a topic!". Often, what appears to be mindgames is the result of indecision and fear.
On the other hand, you say relief ... perhaps on some subconscious level, you no longer want to be with this woman? You need to decide and form an agreement with yourself before you take any action on this matter..
Again, I am a blockhead ... so I could be utterly, horribly, wrong. Grain of salt and all that.

Oh man, the Tool concert was freakin' sweet. The visuals were simply mindblowing and musically, the band was spot on, though sometimes it was hard to hear Maynard over everything (though I have a feeling that's something they want to happen). If I remember correctly, I think the setlist was this:
Jambi
Stinkfist (extended solo)
46 & Two
Schism (adapted midsection)
Right In Two
Lost Keys/Rosetta Stoned
Wings For Marie/10,000 Days (Wings pt2)
Lateralus (extended solo)
Vicarious
I might've mixed up the order in the middle but I'm fairly confident that was the setlist. Pretty sweet list I might add since I actually like the new CD more than Lateralus (though the title track is my favourite song from that CD). The only annoying thing were two drunk girls with annoying screams that made me want to punch them in the throat so they would shutup, and someone puked right beside us during the last song.
Other than that I had a great night!

The concert sounds awesome!
Sithis, I'm so sorry to hear about your misunderstanding w/ your gf. It sounds like the kind of trouble that can be patched up if you have a good relationship. A hint from a longtime wife - women love to be remembered. Even a phone call if you can't be on time saves so much trouble ... a good idea is a little whiteboard message board with attached pen near the front door. You can each jot a message if your leaving suddenly & you can also use it to remember some grocery items.
Yay that she called you! That's a peace offering or as we call it in Florida 'passing the feather'. Old Seminole tradition at meetings was that he who holds the feather speaks ... she's made the first step towards reconciliation ... now it's your turn to reach back to her. Sort out your feelings, then call her back and speak from the heart.
Congratz Starg! Benevolence is its own reward, some man at work told us that one, I pass it on.

Ibis is alive... HOLY MUFFINS. Hi Ibis! o/
Anyway, I have no idea how did I survive these last 5 days. Extreme heat and damp caused us all serious problems [it gets drastic with parents, because of blood pressure, conditions & all], so we resorted to many ingenious tricks, like drinking coffee with neighbors in our building hallway, complete shutdown & blackening the entire house with shades, keeping up the poor ventilator [no air conditioning, boo!] on for hours and sleeping trough the entire day. Folks, it's just THAT hot. I wanted to take a nap on the afternoon yesterday and ended up passing out, literally. When mom woke me up it was 20:00 and I barely took food.
Thankfully, I have caffeine in my system now. Let's see how does another day in desert roll.

I am in awe of such a trick. It makes me jealous.
At least I got my power of looking devilishly handsome.

Ahh, MM

... it is just that devilishly handsome trick of yours that keeps me coming back! (Are you tan, freckled or peeling yet?)
And viewing in on my friend Milanius' virtual weaponsmith mastery

and scoping Geonox's

latest creations.
But of course to check in person what my scouts report from the misbehavings

in New Zealand!!! You owe me 3 months ... that's 900 pushups, soldier!
As for my fluttery disappearances and absences ... what can I say, I am a migrating bird and the seasons shuttle me hither and yon. But I always return don't I, luvies?? Like the Capistrano sparrows .. always like the sparrows.
Pisces understands me perfectly ... but of course we are kndred watersigns and he rolls with the tidal rhythms and flows himself .. if you've noticed.

The burn on my nose peeled (well it was more of a flaking there) while my neck area sorta peeled and also kinda tanned slightly I guess. Other than that I'm the same pale ol' self that I am.

900 pushups?!I can't, I'm a soldier, I have a war to fight in, I need to invade Florida.
Misbehaving? Moi? I'm being nice and going to a friend's birthday dinner tonight. Of course she only invited me because I was harassing her by email but still, its the ends not the means
I have 2 more exams Friday and Saturday, a few hours after the Saturday one I will be on a plane to Auckland for a week on a model (roleplay) UN conferance. I'm going to be debating on the 4th General assembly representing Egypt, I'll make sure to push my plans to invade Florida.

Muhawahahah!!! Silly sea creature ... Florida has NEVER been invaded - not by the Yankees, not by the confederates, not by Hemmingway, not by the Spanish, not by the Seminoles themselves, not by the rumrunners nor the drug smugglers and CERTAINLY NOT by you!!
Egyptians invading sunny Florida ... they already do as tourists. But I am an Egyptian Bird Goddess so they will bow down and worship me, not follow you. We'll have you for sushi

Hehe, I feel like I'm important now. I just got my first scam email from some African saying I could get 30% of 10.5 million dollars because some dude died and his next of kin died with him. Hehe, amusing!

Wait until you get one of these hitman email scams ... or maybe they caught that guy. Your tan sounds like it'll go just perfect with your cowboy hat.
Wolfie, the last time I was here was October 18th before our car died in traffic and I had to switch jobs to a walking to one. Let's see ... canis was taking a trip up into the mountains & I remember that many of you were dealing with dormitory life and college for the first time .. rather successfully from what I read. Was it Zarr and Neela who were dealing with bf's who'd be going off to college? Minque had visited America - NYC, Michigan and the Smokey Mountains,Doomey had been to Machu Picu and Pisces posted an outstanding photography array of New Zealand landscape photos. It was Halloween and some of you dressed up - don't remember any of the exact costumes anymore but it was such fun reading about. I've missed you all & did think of you often. Just had to get RL straightened out for awhile and needed new comuter hardware. All is good now ... I've even got a swimming pool on a lake to splash around in!

Cool, swimming pool
and a lake. You must be spoiled for choice some days

If I have to swim I'm more of a pool person, just because I know what I'm getting into though. I'd still rather go to a lake though. The serenity it provides just seems to be more pleasing than a noisy pool.
Who wouldn't enjoy a nice campfire with a tranquil lake as your backdrop? As long as I got some bugspray to keep the mosquitoes from eating me alive, I think that is the fitting summertime escape.
