Hmm, the words are interesting but I always found it more impressive if a character just stood there and summoned big spells without saying anything or moving. Part of what I hate about Harry Potter, I suppose. I just can't stand those silly wands and movements.

But if you give all your spells names, that does add some flavor to it. Not to mention that you can always get reactions along the lines of:,, Eh, what did she just say? Wait a minute...OMG, NOT THAT SPELL!!! AAAHH!!!"

kinda what im doing with veric. i always imagined more powerful spells, or less powerful spellcasters mostly required chanting, where as if its a skilled mage, or a spell that doesnt blow a whole in a building, it can be done by thought
